I came down the same road my friend and the Generics you are getting are actually better than the original name brand Suboxone (orange footballs). There are 2 main active chemicals in Suboxone; Buprenorphine and Naloxone. Buprenorphine is the 8mg; Naloxone is the 2mg. The formulation of the original orange Suboxone was and still is horrible. Because it is a sublingual tablet you always run the risk of losing some Bupe down your throat as opposed to the bioavailability provided by the under-side of the tongue. As a chemist who was on Suboxone the day it came on the market I have done a LOT of chemical examination, detoxed too many people to count and ran multitudes of diagnostics to get a baseline...and it's not a good one.

At the absolute most you are getting 12% of the 8mg of Bupe with the original Suboxone, hence the 3 or 4 a day more Dr.'s will prescribe. Under perfect conditions that means you are getting 0.96mg of Bupe per pill (8mg/12%). That's s***....

The culprit is the corn and poly binders used for filler which taste terrible but also allow much of the Bupe to be lost before it can make it into your blood stream and bind to the MU receptor. The Naloxone was added to a) Patent a delivery mechanism to make money for the drug company and b) to keep people from abusing the Bupe.

Since the generics have come out I have done more diagnostics and they give you about 38% of the Bupe which is a substantial increase but still, it's over a 50% loss.

I have been put on Subutex which is just Buprenorphine 8mg. They are tiny, dissolve in less than a minute, have only a slightly medicinal taste and I am getting as high as 92% of the Bupe making it so I only need 1 or 1.5 pills a day.

Yes, these can be shot or insufflated but there is no reason to as Buprenorphine only binds to the MU opiate receptor which controls withdrawals and some amount of pain relief but no "dope-like" euphoria. You will NEVER feel high on Suboxone/Subutex unless you have ZERO tolerance to opiates.

It's almost impossible unless you are a pregnant woman to get prescribed subutex but I have other medical issues and my doctor is a good man and knows the racket being perpetrated on the US. In the UK plain 8mg Subutex and generics have been prescribed for years now. This is just The FDA and the drug companies trying to retain patents and make money, regardless of the effectiveness of their product.

So, yes, the white generics are MUCH better as you are getting more Bupe in you per pill than the original orange footballs. It's still not as much as it should be but it's better than the paltry 8-12% from the footballs. If you get migraines from the generics, stop right away and call your Dr. as you have an allergy to one of the binders (likely corn cellulose).

Hope this helps and keep pushing forward. You're right that you've worked too hard and come too far to fall back into the opiate scene again. Think of all the money spent for poor quality H or $1 per mg pills....

Good Luck!
