512 has 325 mg of Acetaminophen and 5 mg of Oxycodone. Watson 749 is the exact same dosage as the 512 pill. They should both be the same effect, because they both contain the exact amount of each active ingredient.

From what I was able to gather Norco's active ingredients are Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. I believe your Norco pill is 325 mg of Acetaminophen and 10 mg of Hydrocodone. Your other pill Oxycodone has a higher dosage of just Oxycodone, meaning it's stronger.

To learn more about both of these drugs click on the links below...

FYI, Oxycontin is basically just a brand name. It still contains regular oxycodone, just like percocet. Oxycontin is generally just a higher dosage of oxycodone. Once you get into the higher doses (i.e. 40 mg and higher) there's usually no acetaminophen. Just plain oxycodone so it doesn't fry your liver. Those are the pills they generally give to people who are going to be on it for an extended period of time (i.e. serveral months or more).

If you want a quicker release just crush up half n let it dissolve thats the best way, both of them have the same half life, so its going to disolve the same way in your stomach.

Most likely what u have is oxycodone 10 mg, and 500 mg of tylenol, acetiminophen, cause they dont make over 80 mgs of oxy in a pill unless its morphiene which is somewhat weaker in some cases. But stick with the norco, alot less liver damage since your taking in less acetominophen, Its sad that im 21 and I know this.

I have been given both by prescription my response to previous comment is..... What NO a ten is stronger than a five anyday, although oxycodone packs a stronger punch, going by just the mg, the norco is stronger than the watson 749, or the white 512. My preference is the oxycodone/ perk, for the back pain I have

My question is about the green (15) oxycodone. My friend says hers are better because hers are the slightly bigger, lighter green, where mine are the slightly smaller, darker green. I told her bigger isn't ALWAYS better! LOL. Anyone have this experience?

5mg of oxycodone alarm percocet equals 7.5mg of hydrocodone aka norco.vicodin.loratab so oxycodone is stronger y'all need to do your homework b for you start posting incorrect information.

Oxycodone is stronger than hydrocodone. 5mg of oxy equals 7.5mg of hydrocodone so 10mg of oxy would equal 15 mg of hydrocodone

Probably just a different manufacturers. Generics usually resemble the brand name, but they do have some slight differences.

I've had both - the 512's and the 749's. same med just different manufacturers. In my opinion the Watson 749's work better than the 512's.

It seems to be a change or I would say the 512 are weaker. Have the ingredients changed?
