Oxycodone Rip-off, Need Help!!!

Updated

Ordered 30-80mg of oxycodone c.o.d. for $600..got neo-percodan as a result. Stupid me but, my husband is in such pain I risked it even though I can't afford it. Please help me! Do I have any recourse?

There are very few vendors online for a schedule II controlled substance. If you can afford to throw away 600 bucks you can afford to contact me for a reasonable answer to your pain problems.

When you purchase this way, then no, you really have no recourse, other than to complain to the vendor and see if they will provide a refund. These are the chances you take, when ordering in this manner.

Has he seen a doctor? Is he under any form or pain management?

I just bought 110 for 13.80. Bought them for back pain but are so mild i felt they are a waste.

Your characterization of "throwing away $600 bucks" reveals your insensitivity to my situation. I can hardly afford to throw money away. My actions were motivated by my love, concern and compassion for my husband. And, yes, he's seen a doctor...many of them, until our health insurance ran out. His pain is debilitating and keeps him bed-ridden: no work, no money, no insurance. Back injuries remain a nebulous area of knowledge for western medicine, apparently, because even when he was under medical care he was treated like a malingerer. Pain medication was begrudgingly doled out and although the means existed to relieve his suffering, it was suspiciously guarded. My husband was a strong vital man, definitely not prone to hypochondria or drug seeking behavior. He fell off a ladder and our nightmare began. I have watched him waste away physically and psychically deteriorate. To withhold the possibility of some comfort through pain medication has been grossly inhumane. And then to be taken advantage of by shysters who profit from the suffering of others......my opinion of my fellow man has plummeted deep into an abyss. My husband is still suffering and in need of comfort....are you another opportunist who gains at our (dearly cost) expense --or-- is your conscience in tact and your offer fair and sincere? Our income is shockingly limited now but, if a bonafide operation exists for his relief, I would go without food or rob a bank...I love my husband...and the way he has been allowed to suffer is truly ciminal.

I empathize with the dilemma you and your husband are struggling with. I am a 40 y/o male. Back surgery in '03 and another in '05. I was well into '08 before I had zero pain. I still guard against straining my lower back because I fear the very thing that you are struggling with. Remember that although all narcotics can at some level provide significant pain relief, however, everyone develops a tolerance to the drugs and it begins to take more and more to attain the same pain relief. So, if you're having trouble getting meds now, certainly before long you will find even fewer health care providers who will be willing to increase dosage. They have to walk a very thin line between addiction and pain relief. All that said, a bit of advice based on how my doc and I finally reached a managable pain level without being blasted on narcotics. Methadone. I was taking 80 mg oxycontin twice a day and 80-100 mg of lortab daily. I started my methadone at 20 mg twice daily. I felt zero withdrawals from the prior meds and by the third day I was forgetting to take a dose because I had no pain and wasn't feeling any withdrawals or side effects. I was working and functioning better than I had in 7 years. Find a doc that will give you methadone. A 30 day supply was $35. It's hard to do better than that. I'm sorry you're having such a trial in your life. Good luck......really

The 6 healing sounds of Chi Kung can help
Here are the sounds
1. Shu
2.Ka
3.Hu
4.Sha
5.Chri
6.Shi

Do each sound siting down in a chair 3 times as you bring your hands in breath in when pushing your hands out exhale. In through the nose out gently thru the mouth. This is part of the 5 breathing transformations.
Chi Kung, Nei Kung, Hei Kung, Dien Kung, Shen Kung.

This will help your husband because it helped me recover from brain cancer after my surgery. Helped me reduce my pain medications. Soon No more will be needed. Some may laugh but thats on them.

Sounds like you can help. Your post is 3 years old so not sure if someone is still at this post. But if you are and you can help me too I'd appreciate it. Thanks

oxycodone is far cheaper and easier to get than the oxycontin.

Some pharmacies carry the extended release.
These are often located near or in medical centers, such as Houston.
Small family run pharmacies can order the drug for you.
They will (may) run some histories on past script usage. If they do, ask them what they found.
They (techs - clerks) often ASSUME that potential negatives are "absolute signs" of some nefarious misdeed. Not so.
Getting orders from 2 different pharmacies (like the first did noit have what U needed) .... could lead to an order refusal. Major pharmacy ONE (unnamed) had an issue; and refused to tell me; I had my pain Mgmt's MD call them .... the issue was resolved, but my refill was on hold for a couple of hours.
One tech decided that my past history (not indicative of any abuse - never asked, just decided I wasin violation ... her unsubstantiated and erroneous suspicion was adequate to deny the refill. My MDs office resolved the issue. Add 3 hours to a simple script fill. And the pharmacy may actually LIE TO YOU -- NOT EXPLAIN WHY they chose to deny a refill.
Be thorough. Know that any judgments will oftem presume that you did something wrong. Work through it. Try to do so while your MD's office is open. Positive confirmation is a necessity to resolve any conflicts. The TRUTH also helps. Inexperienced techs, at least not this one, right in the first floor area of a major hospital ... shifted from we have 120 of the oxycodone 20's to ... it is unavailable. (never added ... tech's opinion that the previous sourcing was legitimate: my MD had to call the pharmacy .... I was so angry ... this tech could not even call the MD .. when I made it to my MDs office ... the pharmacy tech was just calling.

Telling the truth ... I believe that's required by licensed individuals; denial and aa preference to avoid teh truth was the wrong path; yet it was done without any consideration or verification.

I understand your husband's situation. I fell rock climbing four years ago and I haven't had much of a life out of bed since 12/9/15. I'm so grateful to be at least in a position now that I can go to work and do light workouts. I still have my prescriptions for pain meds prescribed, oxy ir 30mg and morph ER 60mg, but I normally only have to use one of each a day now unless I'm at work usually then it is two of each throughout the shift of course.
