Yes it will because doctors test u for everything that ur not prescribed

I tested positive for methodone and have never touched it, seen it or would even know how to get it! I am on xanax. I laughed my head off when they told me! This Was at Drs office, they are sending it to a lab.

They can't acknowledge that tests show false positives because then every test can be considered false positive and with all the bulls*** regulations and suing going around in the medical profession, the Dr's need to be extremely cautious on what they say and do.

I have been saying the same things for 10 years. I have legitimate issues causing legitimate pain, but they won't actually read your chart they just assume your guilty if you take pain medication of any kind. I have also had numerous surgeries to fix things but none have helped. Can't they see I'm trying to get better?? It makes me crazy!!

So if I have taken 100 MG of methadone and have a drug test on the 11th of next month for probation will they find it.

I am prescribed 10/325 every 3 hours (percocet). About 2 weeks ago I went in to get my refill and was hit with a ua. I told them I consume marijuana and they are cool as kings, as I have my card, but I was nervous due to taking a few methadone when not having any perc. But they never said anything, only that i have thc but nothing else. But see it's strange cause my dad takes certain meds from the pain clinic. They tested him and said he was positive though he had never been taking them. Metabolic break downs can cause a false positive. And he made them take blood.

I'm on felony deferred probation and I just took my first u.a. Yesterday and no they didn't find the methadone in my system cause they don't test for it.. Hope that helped..unfortunately they found thc and this weekend I have to spend in jail :-(.. No biggie just two days...

False-positive methadone results with diphenhydramine[15] and doxylamine[16] also have been reported. Daily doses of 100–200 mg of diphenhydramine resulted in false-positive UDS results for three patients.[15] The urine drug concentration needed to show a positive result was 10 mg/L. Doxylamine intoxication resulted in false-positive results for both methadone and opiates when urine samples were checked using EMIT d.a.u (methadone) and EMIT st (opiates) on admission.[16] Opiates were not detected with Abuscreen radioimmunoassay (Roche Diagnostic Systems, Inc., Montclair, NJ) testing. The urine drug concentrations reported were 50 mg/L (for methadone) and 800 mg/L (for opiates).

July 30, 2015. I have been dropping UA's for 13 years and never EVER have I had a dirty one. I am beyond done with all that drug addiction s***. Now, out of the clear blue I am "positive" for Methadone which I have never ever taken. I told them they better run it again cuz that cant be! they started threatening me this and with that.. I am not going to LIE- dont have too! So, now they tell me they have never seen a false positive for Methadone. After 5+ hours researching this THEY are obviously lying cuz it happens all the time. Why? That, I dont know yet.

I tested positive for methadone last week and it freaked me out because I've never touched it but I do take zzzquil to sleep .. I think the covering doctor believed me but who knows ... I'm a chronic pain patient with fibromyalgia and other crap .. That was 5 days ago she wouldn't refill my oxycodone and oxymorphone and since they make you run out before you get more I'm withdrawing... So I have to see what happens Monday... NyQuil can give a false positive for methadone

So..what happened..as this post is from 2012..people are in the same situation..but no one has replied on what it was.. can u shed some light now as we are in the year 2015 and others have the same question

It happened to me as well. It's chemical twin (I'll call it that because I'm not a scientist) is found in other medicines apparently. ... common ones such as cold medicines. I had never in my life taken Methadone (my best friend died from taking 2...so I wouldn't touch it! ) yet my doctor was convinced. Even after i printed out the facts i found online (that his drug tests are only 90 percent correct) 1 out of ten are wrong! Anyway.. hope this helps.
