Lyrica Lawsuit (Page 20)

Updated

Does anyone know if there is an ongoing lawsuit against the company who puts out Lyrica? I am a mess from it. Do we have a leg to stand on when it comes to the side effects they found out from people like us? I am a long termer. I have been taking 900 mg since 2005. Is there anyone representing us? Thank you

This is a dangerous drug and many doctors r not Aware of it. Drug salesmen come in and only tell them about the benefits of the drug and it can be used to treat chronic pain besides fibramalagia. They only tell them.some of the side effects not ALLof them. They just want to sell the drug for the pharmachiticals. Not enough testing has been done. If they can recall an old fairly reliable drug like darvocet, then what about an unreliable drug like lyrica. I blame this drug for my losing my job in

Continuing my previous thought, I lost my job in 2007. Iwas given a choice resign or be fired. Iresigned, I was afraid I would not get any unemployment. I have not worked in the medical field since. I had worked as a nurse and respiratory therapist for 29 years!!!!

I am in Canada so I am not sure if there is a lawsuit whether or not I could be part of it. I am still suffering from side effects due to taking Lyrica which I took for only a short while and have not touched in over 7 months. My hands are giving me the most problems. The joint pain and swelling is quite debillitating. It has been so frustrating to think medication that is supposed to help ease pain for those of us who suffer from nerve damage and chronic pain because of our initial issues only to end up even worse than we were before we ever took this drug. Lyrica is a HORRIBLE drug and from what I have read here it has caused so much suffering that really the people who are suffering should at least be entitled to financial compensation,

I was put on Lyrica after shattering my T12-T10 and a surgery to put my spine back together w/ anterior and posterior titanium cage. When I started with all of the horrible side effects my pain Dr sent me to a neuro and a optha-neuro and a neuro-pyschologist and a hand specialist and for a eeg and to an epileptic ward at the hospital to be monitored. I then was sent back to the neuro-pyschologist who sent the person I came with out of the room and proceeded to berate, belittle and tell me it was all in my head- the sleep paralysis, lack of concentration, anxiety, twitching, trouble speaking, electric shocks and swelling in my hands, double vision, blurry vision, memory problems, dizziness. I saw the neuro-pyschologist @ supposedly one of the best hospitals in Sept 09 and the new warnings and precautions for Lyrica was put out by the FDA in Feb 08. I was a complete mess when I went to this Dr for help and he yelled at me until I was completely histerical if I didn't have someone with me at the time I don't know what I would have done. Then a month later he sent a report saying I was making it all up. From what I have read he should have known I was at risk for suicide because of the Lyrica but he was completely ignorant and never even bothered to look up Lyrica and the problems it causes.

HI everyone, I am updating this blog as it has been well over 2 months that I went off Lyrica and I am still suffering the side effects of this awful drug! I am still suffering with both my hands being numb, tingling, and very painful. I am having a hard time unbuttoning shirts, opening jars, opening lid on my cats food, etc. My eye site is still very blury. I find at night while laying in bed I noticed my body twitiching. I have been trying to contact class suit lawyers with no success. TO the people here that are suffering, what do we need to do. Please if there are any laywers that have seen this site, please help us. Thank you!

I have found that the twitching does get somewhat better although my hands still do twitch badly to the point where whatever glass or dish that was in my hands crashes. I have been off of Lyrica for 2yrs. My eyesight was perfect before Lyrica and has never gone back to normal and will need cataract surgery eventually. Has anyone gotten cataracts from Lyrica? I was told by my eye Dr. that Lyrica was the cause I am 44.

Maybe if we can find a lawyer in Canada who is also licensed to practice in the states, or if he knows lawyers here in the states that will handle this, Please let us know, in the mean time I am making calls to lots of attorneys so far no luck, but I think if we all make some callls we may get a resolution much faster.. thanks Lyrica suffering friends!

I had to get off Lyrica as it was killing me. My doctor prescribed decreasing doses of the drug over a period of six weeks. It was difficult to do but in the end very well worth it. Stay strong and find a doctor who will help you.

I have a friend of 9 years that seemed fine until recently and I just discovered today that he was taking lyrica.... he committed suicide yesterday... is there a way to make a connection? What do I do? He leaves behind the love of his life and a little girl... I'm really scratching my head in disbelief.

I contacted a lawyer group called rottenstein. They seem to deal in class action suits, lyrica, which I believe was never tested right or fully, then maybe they can help us with lyrica. They took darvocet off the market, which was @ least 20 years old. WE MUST CALL OUT AND UNITE! Contact them, for us and our loved ones. Maybe they will listen if we all do it.

I googled them. Here is what I have. Rottenstein Law Grp., webpage address is rotlaw.com Their phone # is 212-933-9500. Their address is 1259 Veeder Drive, Hewlett, N.Y., 11557. I don't know if they will take the case but it is a start. Tell them about the lawsuits in Canada too if you get a hold of them. Everyone call them!!!!!!

Mourning Friend, I am SO sorry to hear of your loss. There is definitely a way to link Lyrica to suicide...many people have become suicidal on this drug - so many that they finally were required to list it as a side effect. When your friend's wife or family is up to talking about it, I'll bet they will be able to create a timeline from first prescription, first symptoms, dosage increases (if any) & clearly see if Lyrica was a direct cause. I have started a Facebook site called Lyrica Survivors for people & families affected by this awful drug. There are lots of posts & people willing to answer questions & provide support. We want to get this horrific drug OFF the market. My heart goes out to you & your friends during this trying time. Peace & hugs to you.

I posted a reply. Google rottenstein. The info I wanted to send evidently was not approved. Sorry, I cannot even give you my eumail. They block it out. Iguess for our protection. Again sorry.
