i have been prescribed to OC 80's for 6 years now for my debilitating pain. i started taking them intranasally about a year back when i learned that it works much faster and better. i'm currently up to 4 a 5 a day. yesterday i got my script filled to learn that they had come out w/a new generic replacement that has OP on the side that used to say OC. i've tried everything in my power and nothing seems to work. taking these pills orally does NOTHING for me except make me feel tired and sick to my stomach and i had to stay home from work today because of this. i know there has to be a way to take these new generic pills and separate the plastic from the oxycodone, but have yet to learn what that way is. {edited for safety}

all of these tips are completely useless. all you have to do is "suck" or "scrape" off the outer coating of the OP and then use a file or pedi stone to file the pill into a fine dust. sort into lines and blow up your nose. done. did the microwave steps which worked but not very well and took forever to complete. we then experimented on the next OP and found this method that works perfectly. have fun, be safe and save yourself all the trouble.

I really really have a problem with people who come on websites like this and pass judgement on others for their substance abuse issues. Everyone has something. The person sitting here calling us all junkies probably weighs 500lbs and has all the problems that go with that. Most of us with problems with opiates started out taking them for legitimate health reasons. Myself for example, I got hit by a truck and suffered a major injury, then six months later, diagnosed with cancer. So, I was on these damned things for a year and a half. Voila, I was hooked (opium is the most addictive substance in the world, it also happens to be the only thing that REALLY works for pain). Do you honestly think that housewives that get busted for doctor shopping woke up one day and said to themselves "hmmmm, my four kids and job aren't hard enough for me, I think I'll become a junkie"

WELL I HAVE FOUND THAT I CAN GET SOME HOT WATER A 1 CC SYRINGE AND SOME COTTON PUT FOUR PILLS IN A SPOON PUT ONE AND A HALF UNITS OF WATER ON THE PILLS LET THEM SIT FOR A LITTLE BIT MIX THEM. UP DRAW THEM IN SYRINGE AND ENJOR

i get real oc 80s still and opana 40's so i don't have these problems but good luck to all. the op's suck but if i had em id just take it or use a scrapper and blow it in lil lines and make sure u get it up or it wont work-- plus take the coating offf

Pre heat a frying pan to 275 degrees. Put your powder in a 4X6 tin foil tray and set in frying pan. Take a business card and start gently sifting the powder back and forth. The key is not to stop. The powder will start to change consistancy, do not let it stick to the foil. After ABOUT 3 min. the powder will start to ball up, remove from heat immediatly and put in freezer for about two minutes. Remove from freezer and grind between fingers. This is the BEST way if done right, no rocks, or crystals. Do not touch the powder before it goes in the freezer, if you do it will compress and turn into a solid rock that is a b**** to break up. 40's cook best followed by 80's. The 30 turn really quick, and you really have to keep an eye on them. Do not let the pan get to hot before you put the tin foil tray in. Remember..AS SOON as the powder starts to ball up get it off the heat.

I just tried the microwave method and got to the point where you are supposed to use a file to grind the pill up. It was like grinding up plastic and was impossible to do. I personally could not get past that point. I would not recommend trying this method, I wont ever again.

I Really Found the way! 1:Grind your pill down 2: teaspoon off water 3:Mix & mix 4: Let it dry 5: DO NOT MICROWAVE!! 6: 20-45min dry & enjoy

I am writing this response motivated by the veteran and by all the people who have posted about their physical pain. I've got nothing against recreational use either.

It seems some people don't understand that oxy is in a group of drugs called, loosely, opiates. If Oxy OP doesn't work for you, use a different opiate. It will hit the same receptors, prevent you from getting sick, and relieve your pain.

Also, look up what grapefruit seed extract will do to make what you have stronger.

There is also something called ibogaine, which when used in low doses, will keep your tolerance lower, so that what you have still works. In very large doses, ibogaine will break your addiction altogether, which may be of interest to some here.

Somepeople have mentioned suboxone and methadone, two long acting opiates. These are much harder on the body physically. And getting off them is exponentially harder than getting off other opiates. You thought oxy was hard to kick? Welcome to months of withdrawal, not weeks. Just say no. If you don't mind being addicted, this can be a good choice for harm reduction as they're legal and cost less than street drugs. You can focus on your life and not trying to score. But still a b**** to kick and far more physically damaging.

dont take off coating. that is the first dose. It gives you a dose right away since the rest of the pill is time release. People who do that are not very smart. I personally researched it because i thought that already and was rite.The pill release a small amount every hr. if coating on you will get a quick release amount b4 the rest starts to work. you need that if your in pain. If your abusing it then lick it off so you get it then do whatever you want. But if your eating it. Just eat whole.

Plus do not file with any type of nail file metel ar paper like sand paper. You will get metal and or sand paper bits in it. Thats how they work. When you file stuff it wares out cuz the file grinds off into powder as well. So yuse a metal one and you snorting metal into your lungs. Very bad. Just to let people know whatever you snort also goes into your lungs.

Better Idea. I lost my insurance and showed my dr. what the Oxycontin cost and said I wish you could write me for the hcl, it's only 1/4 the price, but you'd have to up the amount as hcl only gives 4-6 hours instead of the 12 the OP are supposed to give. He went for it so now I enjoy 135 30 mil oxycodone a month. No cooking bulls***, just blast a blue or 2. These are hard times, try the financial thing. Some Dr.s have a heart.

I just take a ped egg grind it down, make sure my nose is clear and sniff really hard. It works,not as smooth as the old one, but it works.

Walgreen's sold their last remaining oc's as generics. I got the last 40's they had in my state and even got a mix the last one I filled. they charged the reg price, but who's to complain. Now they only offer the op's.
