I just moved to Tennessee and I have been on oxycodone 15 mg for 3 years I'm in pain 24/7 and them are the only pills that help that I can afford, but I can't find a Dr that will give them to me. I live in Johnson City area

I'm looking for a Springfield, MO doc who can prescribe Norco. I've had neck surgery, 4 major joint replacements, an MRI showing severe shoulder damage, and spinal stenosis. I only take them when the pain is severe, otherwise I don't use them. My current doc is leaving the area and apparently no one else will prescribe the meds.

Can you write me back? I'm having a terrible time with fibromyalgia. I've been put on all different types of medication and the only thing that has ever helped me was Percocet. I live in Wisconsin and because of the super strict regulations on drugs for pain it's completely impossible to get what I need to live a half way decent life. I am truly desperate.

P450. I'm so sorry for your pain and all your enduring. That's so awful. My poor deceased husband was put on methadone. And years ago just cause he missed his appt. I watched him go thru horrible withdraws. I hadn't caught on yet that it was withdraws.... At that time we had xanax. I only wanted to help him so I would give him 1 to see if it would at least offer some relief. He told me later a tad. But its not only that with me. HMG doctors are failing me horribly. I've waited almost 2 months for nurses to do their jobs on my back and broken tail bone and that's at another specialist that the doc wanted me into a physical therapy facility. With also waiting until 9 to go to a spine surgeon. I got lupus n copd. I saw my PC yesterday and not even blood work, its been six months.... I'm new on this site and don't even know where to go to look up doctors.... But I friend got in a pain clinic I went to for 3 years and now I draw BCbS and got medicare but just Caz it got my deceased husbands SSN. They took my friend but not me. I can't even get injections in back. Thank you so much for responding. Our government has gone to hell and I ran into some s*** on Youtube that pathetic Obama thinks he will outsmart us and be president again. All of its horrible. And yes that drug up here is called ice and its real bad, my daughters bf got on it one night and thought he was invocable but yet ppl who need help n have MRI can't even get relief. Pathetic. I truly hope u feel better. I'm a newbie in here. Not sure how I found my way but one night I had posted asking for help here in kingsport Tennessee.

Anyone help me find a Dr or pain management doctor willing to prescribe narcotics in the Maryland or Pennsylvania area I'm on 30 mg oxycodone 4 a day and 30 mg oxycotins 2 a day now looking for a Dr who could help I'm paying 240 a visit where I'm at now and on disability with a limited income trying find a Dr that honor what I get now and maybe take Medicare all reply are appreciated ty

You need to stay put. In this Odumma government all drugs such as Duragesic will soon be unavailable and although I am 100% sure Trump will win and we will restore for profit medicine and as a professional nurse and published researcher THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT; the ACA has COST Americans billions and taken away their health care and we cannot continue to LEARN and RESEARCH new cures for various disorders with this JOKE of a president and his edicts.

His stupid Opioid Order will worsen it. Now he is talking about anyone who receives opioids having to have NARCAN which ironically has gone up 100 times in price because they are pulling shortages on this drug. Further now, one of the 5 chemical versions of Fentanyl is being mixed with illicit drugs immediately causing DEATH furthering what I have warned ya'll of. I should have died last year but I had listened to Dr. T. and put aside 20% over the 5 years plus I had been with him leaving me enough to TAPER painfully and become house and bed bound but to breathe.

Going off Duragesic COLD is death as is going off Methadone. I have warned those here during these volatile times do NOT change physicians; I have had to fly to physicians FOR YEARS due to my complexity the one I had in Houston, TX for 11 years died suddenly of a fast moving renal carcinoma, and then was shipped to California by a Texas neurologist who knew I was too complex for her care and was forced yes forced to travel. If your doctor moves then travel; stay put they all will cut you back--don't believe if your good old veteran pain specialist who is almost 80 has not yet HE or SHE will do so; the government financial incentives for FIRING YOU, and not HIRING you are too lucrative and these guys will do harm. They are no different then anyone struggling, they take the easy way out.

We must stay strong as a group. I won't be here long enough to support you and others must take over for me. To think that I honestly contracted to go back to Dr. T. signed paperwork and went through going on Methadone but KNOWING the government will not rid us of this drug for too many ADDICTS (who Odumma supports not honest pain patients) require it you can IF YOU SUDDENLY LOSE A PHYSICIAN or are out of medication go to a Methadone clinic to save your life.

It won't be pleasant and they will tell you that you are not an addict. You tell them what you are on (how much of your long acting and short) and that in another 48 hours you will be getting whatever it takes so that you are out of pain and not SICK (use that word) and legally they cannot deny you. Then find yourself help outside this clinic as soon as humanly possible--with the government controlling our physicians currently it can take up to 2 years if you are lucky.

I know of what I speak and due to my own mess will not be posting too much but will check in. Talk to those who post on the 10 top trending posts. I usually post on 'doctors willing to prescribe pain medicine' which is general and gains posters from all over the US, and second is this stupid and I MEAN DUMB 120 mg. morphine equivalent post because we need to ignore this, it is HYPE.

The only OVERDOSE DEATHS the FDA and CDC are referring to were ADDICTS who obtained prescription drugs illegally.

The Fentanyl type I mentioned earlier is used for vet use on large animals (elephants) and is being mixed with street drugs. Now the addicts abuse it and die instantly. The reason this is used on large animals is it is too strong for those of us who WERE tolerant to HIGH Duragesic dosages (mine was 160 of the BRAND 100 and 75 mcg/hour patches a MONTH). When the COST of Duragesic became too high and my medical award DOES NOT ALLOW nonlicensed insurers from the employer to decide this it is the physician they CUT OFF THE DOCTOR.

Illegal yes and wanting me to die YES. Murder YES but do they get convicted???

Look into my old posts before it's too late. As I said I will not likely live through this latest JOKE when you have an Order from the Supreme Court on your behalf and unlicensed agencies are IGNORING THIS it is called CONTEMPT.

Well guess what they are in Contempt and we are thinking of getting warrants for criminal arrests on these so called agencies in this state we speak of...

Teresa, You have your deceased husbands SSN because your are drawing benefits off of his work record. Chances are the person at that one drs office wasn't familiar with patients that have a parent or spouses SSN on their Medicare card. Try another pain management dr. You might have to call and/or see a few before you find one that is the right fit for you. The link below should help you find a pain management dr in your area that accepts Medicare.

I wouldn't either I wouldn't wish this life on anybody. I just want to get back some kind of quality of life and for once have a doc who cared and listened. Even if a person has different issues such as my lupus docs know I'm in a flair but yet don't care or listen just keep sending me to more spealists that right now I'm sick n can't go Caz of my broken tailbone tht they can't even get straightened out Caz nurses don't do. Job. I got a poor neighbor in same boat with different issues but her doc seems to care but its sometimes when u call in these nurses get crap messed up

It was just this one but I don't understand cause in Dec they said they did. I got my deceased husbands SSN and have no ideal why it was set up that way... I had to wait 2 yrs for it to come in effect.. I called Simpson and they are cash only.. I would love to find either new PC doc cause HmG is failing me miserably. Even my bone doc recommended me going to a physical therapy facility cause I have broken my tailbone and MRI revealed stenosis on top of all the other back issues but a month has passed and the nurses messed up on my insurance but didn look what doc had recommended and literally told my case worker they have not been no communication properly and I've fallen in between the cracks n just received a letter they are sending me to the east Tenn brain and spine surgeons. Its all a mess. My PC tht I got now gives me 50mg fentnl patches and 4 ten mg rocys I was getting different but cause I had a problem shes seeing me every two weeks but they upset cause I had went in their crying tht something was wrong... Tht she hadn seen me in two wks. I was taking antibiotics. From pulmonary doc. Was having bladder issues and I told her tht her nurse only told me take every 8 hours tht idk she had took my 15 MG's rocys from me? I cried to her something was wrong and sure enuff two days later the MRI revealed broken tailbone and stenosis which got osterposis on top of it. I had asked for walker tht took Mr two months to get. I just don't know what doc to go to nor a pain clinic to go to and was so unfair what doc did. I'm still waiting to see what accessment says weather facility or home care therapy and can't seem to heal up. N now back on walker again. Just a mess. I need help

Hello NBT, I am from miami and now live in the bay area in California. The situation out here with doctors getting arrested and being blamed for the overdoses of their patients, is utterly disgusting. The *****s who overdose are ruining it for everybody with legitimate injuries who need pain meds just to have some small semblance of a halfway decent life. I am being forced to move back to south florida and I have heard that it is bad down there and meds are hard to come by. Can u give me the name of the doc u saw or anybody who is compassionate and willing to help people like us? Also, if anybody has the name of a doctor over here in the bay area, I'm willing to drive from san francisco down to carmel and everywhere in between. I have a herniated disc and a ruptured disc in my back as well as pins in my foot and knee from a car wreck and i am in constant pain. Somebody please help me!!!

I don't get BL , What's the deal with this person and why is everything so secrative with this person, I am confused, is this person a pain sufferer or just someone on here to annoy all of us???

Yeah, he's "old school" and been here for over 35 yrs. He isn't familiar with anyone out of State, (anymore) but I may have something worked out (temporary) until I get established up there.
That remains to be seen, but it's the only alternative I have... that or it's going to end up being a real rough month eventually.
The first of the year I went cold turkey for 2 weeks...obviously the first 5 days were hell..sadly by day 14 I was almost crippled. I was astonished to see what my baseine
was. I'm not talking about feeling like crap, but my physical (or lack thereof) baseline.
Nevertheless, after repeated films, labs, etc...it was determined that this isn't going to get the best of me.. I pushed through it...tried walking the dog, PT, heat, massage. Day 15, I couldn't do it anymore. I quickly came to realize none of that helps with the extensive nerve damage from post operative sacrifices one makes. The hardware, screws, current state of things reduced my choices. It was either that or not walk again without compromise. I'd just like to be able to sleep in a bed again.
It was honestly the difference of having a quality of life outside of the house...OR...being in "prison" inside our own home due to immobility.
Anyhow...enough of my BS, everyone has their own mess to cope with.
Thanks for the messages, and I sincerely hope that you all find some sort of "peace" dealing with the day to day "issues" we go through.
I hate it, and can only hope that someday the technology to actually get things back to a tolerable ( un-medicated) course of treatment...will be an alternative.
I fear, that in my case the damage has been done...but one can remain hopeful.
