Doctors Who Prescribe Tramadol

My doctor has just retired and I have been on Tramadol for many years and find it very hard when I stop taking it. I have learned that many Doctors will not prescribe Tramadol and need help finding someone in my area that will.

Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A general practice doctor won't be able to prescribe it.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

The easiest thing to do may be to find yourself a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone.

What is your general location? That might enable someone to suggest a good doctor in you area.

Hi, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM - been taking tramadol act, for my arthritis in my spine -- have to find a new PCP who can fill it- but til then want to ask my specialist for my pacer to fill. Before I do -- will they???Great office, but just want to know if he can. Thanks
