Alvogen Percocet 10 Yellow Round 230 (Page 2)

Updated

Just got these pills from my pharmacy after getting long white ones with the imprint m523 on it which by the way I love. But these new ones from alvogen are absolutely horrible!! I am still in a lot of pain and the feeling I get from them are next to nothing like the m523. I am wondering if the pharmacy will exchange them for me if they have my old ones in stock? Anyone know the answer to this? Thank you in advance.

What really gets me is i now have to travel 100+ miles to a pain clinic and prove my pain. Being on Ssi and not having enough money to even eat everyday,i sure dont have the money to travel. So thanks to abusers i live in constant pain all day and night. Anything would be better than this hell ..even death

Yea. My pain management Doctor's nurse practitioner looks at me like I'm lying about my pain. And the questions they ask, I just wish the doctors you see for pain could experience my pain for just 10 minutes, THEN THEY WOULD UNDERSTAND!

I am pretty positive that they will not exchange them. Once the meds have left their store to a patient, that is against federal laws.
Sorry.

What the companies are doing is making the strong opiates into extended release forms. The are doing this so that the opiates can not be abused or they are much harder to be abused. There have been SO MANY overdoses that the companies & doctors are trying to work together to combat the problem. I have severe pain 24 hrs a day, I broke my neck, have had a back surgery & cancer & still need neck surgery & possibly another back surgery. I've been on pain meds for MANY MANY years. My tolerance is so high that not much helps the pain. Nothing eliminates all of it & im OK if I can get some of the pain to go away. I DO agree that the extended release DO NOT work! I've tried several different meds & it was like I wasn't taking anything. But for all you people that take the strong opiates...to feel high or for pain relief, you CAN & WILL become opiate tolerant & then nothing will help you. And when you have a tragic auto accident or surgery, the doc's won't be able to ease your pain at all. It is the WORST & MOST HORRIFYING FEELING IN THE WORLD. That is what happened to me when I had my back surgery. I woke from the anethesis & was literally screaming to the top of my lungs. Did that for a couple of days. If I could have gotten out of that hospital during that time, I would not be alive today. I would have stopped the pain when I killed myself. So please be careful.

Just a quick post I had a terrible throat surgery layed in the Hospital 8 days also have disk disease in my back
8 day s of morphine and demoral my back still hurt those 8days. The only thing that helps my back is norco.
Just saying you might try it before reaching for the Percocet it might work for you too!

John, but which Norco do you use by which company does the one work for you? There are many different manufactueres out there now and that is the problem many of us are not getting any pain relief and actually getting sick on these drugs. So, wondering which manufacturer you use for your Norco. Thanks and hope you are feeling better.

It's funny how everyone is different. After 10 knee operations, like many I have a very high tolerance as well which sucks. Name brand Percs or Endocets work the best, but can't hardly get either one. So, because of an infection I had my artificial knee removed. I have no knee while we fight the infection. I couldn't get Endo's so tried Amneal's umm I thought Watsons were placebo pills.....yeah umm Amneals must be nothing more than an aspirin re-stamped. It's a shame the DEA/FDA, would allow companies to profit from selling medicine that does not address the needs it is supposed to. Like many of us who legitimately need pain medicine, we suffer, because of the moronic *****s who abuse to pass time during their boring loser days for a brief high. So, those of us who need relief cannot obtain it. We search, we try, spend money, to find the right med to help us. The pharmacy specifically told me, they do not really care about results of the medicine, it just has to be the cheapest option from the distributor they use. Well, most seem to be switching to this horrible Amneal. I was willing to suffer in pain until I could find Endocets or something different. I went to a small local pharmacy as a last hope, they had the C230's. Reluctantly I decided to try them, heck, no possible way could they be worse than Amneal. I totally agree, they are not name brand or even Endo's but they are not too bad.

It's just total BS that the wonderful government that cares so much about us and our well being.....did I really just say that line of total crap. It's just sad. for all those who abuse for the so called high. I usually don't wish bad upon people but wish you'd shatter a bone or something then get stuck with something like Amneal so you can see what you, and others like yourself have done to rest of us who legitimately need medicine that works. It should be illegal for companies to sell crisp that is not strong enough. Target told us that at the end of the day it's a business so they order the cheapest they can find. It's just a really messed up deal all around. The C230's won't win any awards, but they're better than Amneal. Seriously, I'm not just bashing Amneal, but for those of you faced with getting them, please try to find something else as you will be sadly disappointed. I had to take 4 or 5 of those crappy pills on a completely empty stomach and even then they offered minimal relief. Yeah that solves the problem as then we run out early so it creates another problem. But that makes of these horrible products get rich and truly don't care. I bet they don't give their family members these products! You know dang good and well they are well aware of their potency. It's just so infuriating.

Never experienced that. They are the same to me as any other 10/325. Probably psycological

I am very sorry to disagree with you but they are not all the same - each manufacturer is different in the binders or fillers and everyone reacts differently and I am not an expert only going by what others have said and from my own personal experience. There are a few percocets out there as well as generic hydrocodone by watson that always makes me so physically ill and I don't think vomiting is physocological.

No pharm. Will exchange only your doctor will have to rewrite your script and want what you have left of the medication that is not working for you. Reason for this is its a narcardic in a high group rating it happened to me . Good luck ,, if you have a good relationship with your doctor and he fully understands your level of pain you should'nt have any problems.

I was recently given alvogen oxycoden-acetam 10-325MG instead of my regular brand and this stuff does not work at all. zero pain relief. No medical benefit what so ever. I have called alvogen 1-866-770-3024 and no response. I have called the FDA 1-888-463-6332 and no response. I have even called my pharmacy 661-326-6580 and no response. This is a fake medicine and does not work with me. Please contact me thru this message board. Thank you signed Ripped off

Agreed, I've actually had pharmacist tell me from CVS, Rite-Aide, 3 different grocery stores, and they all said the same thing. They do not care about the effectiveness of the drug. I was told they are forced to order the cheapest generic drug there is. I mentioned there are so many responses out on message boards about how ineffective Amneal is, & how Alvogen is not much better. Fortunate enough for me I found a small independent pharmacy that was gracious enough to order Endocets for me. They are made by the same company that makes Percocet, they are as close to name brand Percocet as you can get. It's amazing how the FDA would allow such an important pain medicine to be so ineffective yet there are so many legitimate people in pain. Yet cannot get relief with many of the generic drugs out there.

I talked with my pharmacist about how lame Alvogen was and he told me to bring the remainder of the pills in. I did so and he traded them for an oblong white one on one side it said 10/325 and the other E712. It's an Endocet 325 mg / 10 mg but they did absolutely nothing. I got a little tired after about six of them and then figured that was too much acetaminophen but i got zero pain relief. I also found out that a generic brand can use 20% less of the active ingredient so we could be using straight acetaminophen.

Alvogens are hard as a rock. Before I fill my next script,I will ask about the brands they carry.
