Wondering If They Will Acccept Me In Suboxone Program

I recentally stopped taking pain pills and started taking sub. Ive been getting my suboxone illegally but i finally got an appointment to get into the suboxone program and im wondering if i wld even qualify since ive been taking sub illegally and my pee is clean. ?

When I went to my suboxone dr. the first time he did not give me a urine test. I see him once a month and I have to take test on these visits. I would imagine that different docs have different policys. I,m not sure if I,d tell him that you been taking sub. but this may be bad advice, I just don,t know. Maybe another reader will weigh in on this.

It can really depend on the specific doctor and their policies and the only way to find out is to talk to them.

For proper treatment, however, it is best to just tell them everything you have been taking and how much, because that is how they know what your starting dose should be.

I was also taking sub illegally. When I went to my first suboxone Dr. visit, they did a urine test on me. I was honest and told him exactly what I had been taking whether I had prescriptions for them or not. He told me that everything I told him I was taking showed in my urine. Absolutely, tell your Dr. everything you were taking. Trust me, honesty is the best policy! Now I am taking Suboxone, Neurontin, and Xanax (very low dose on the xanax to wean off that too). I am feeling much better but it did take a good month since I started the suboxone therapy. If you are not honest, it will show up in the urine test and they can drop you as a patient. Good luck and trust me, be open with the doctor.

For the past 22 years I have been on very high doses of Fentynl combined with oxycodone, dilaudid, opana, or what ever I was switched to from month to month at times. For the past 3 months I have been on 2-8 mg strips of suboxone and has helped very little. However, very little hep is a godsend when 22 of regular meds have been cut literally overnight! Last month I was given a urine at my appointment and I have no reason to think that it should show positive for suboxone since I ran out several days prior to test/ appointment! I have an appointment tomorrow a.m. and I ran out 5 days ago... What should I do??? Is honesty the best policy?
