how do you know, if you are on it they cant not hire you. Well maybe if it is a job driving than maybe. Just be up front and tell them. it looks worse if you lye about it

I take suboxone and my DR said that in order for my insurance to continue to pay for it I had to take a urine test to make sure I was actually taking it and the answer is 100 % yes, there is a test for it. Most companies do not test for that drug because it is a special test. Most employers do not test for SUB, only the regular stuff. SUB will not show up as an opiate. I bought a home test kit that tests for everything. It all came up clean. The only way it will show up is if they request to test for SUB. Personally I don't want to be on it anymore and it is a nightmare to get off of! I no longer take or want to take opiates. I just would have rather went through a few days of withdraw than get off SUB. The withdraw is horrible and last for months. Even after tapering it is still very tough to completely quit. I advise no one to use this drug to get off of mild opiates, it's not worth it.

There definitely is a 12 panel test - I just got court ordered to take one, and one of the drugs that they test you for is buprenorphine.

They can refuse to hire you and NO employer has to hire someone taking a prescription medicine just because they get it from a doctor. They probably won't say it's why they're not hiring you and forget about a lawsuit. We're all adults here and need to take responsibility for our actions. I've had addiction issues most of my life and realize if I play the game there may be penalties. There's no way to get any drug out of ur system in hours and expect ur own body temp urine to pass a test. Some try getting clean urine in a small bottle wrapped in a shake glove or shoe heating pad.

If you're going to drown your system with water you may want to take some vitamin B for color so it doesn't come out clear. I've heard eating red meat(beef, pork, veal, etc) for a few days leading up to the test can keep your ph levels average; & since I'm assuming it's a urine test try to go plenty of times before you take it(after an hour or so of waiting in an office allows it to build up, so get the sample midstream).

There are 2 types of urine drug tests a 5 panel and 10 panel, the 5 panel doesn't test for suboxen but the 10 panel does

people piss me off when they run their mouths about something they have no clue about..or the people that say dont take it. it wont show up if you dont take it..well no freakin crap, ofcourse it shows. and if it dont show as buprenorphine at the doctors using whatever kind of test the chemical make up (wtf ever its called) can still show if they send it to a lab

Your right and wrong a 10 panel don't show for it. But the 12 panel that I half to take at my day reporting center does show for it!!!

Actually there is a test for buprenorphine depending on what drug panel you are being given. I speak from experience as I just failed mine on 12/21/16 for buprenorphine.

Suboxone is buprenorphine + naloxone,but the active ingredient is buprenorphine so you look for that in the test on opiates/opioids.Basically,it's the same thing,only you can't use it intraveneously bc of the naloxone.
