I took half a strip of suboxone on friday and I have to take a drug test soon. What is the best way to get it out of my system?

What about a standard drug test for an employer. I take very small doses to help keep my head out of my ass. I have an interview tomorrow that may include a drug test. I take less than 8mg/week. Am I screwed on an employer drug screening

You are correct! I actually have the same ones doctors use and yes it does detox suboxone.

I’ve been taking about a quarter (maybe a little less or a little more give or take) of an 8mg strip for at least a month and a half. It’s June 9th and I need my system clean for a *possible* drug screen, in a week. I’m not sure as to whether they will have me do it at a lab or not. I’ve already signed all my paperwork about my direct deposit and company handbook and all that good stuff, which makes me think they won’t do a drug screen right off the bat. I’m still nervous as s***. Still really needing to get my system clean. Any tips and/or information to help me out would be highly appreciated. TIA

Yay!! Good for you. I think you were just lucky. Or perhaps your pain doctor did not test for Suboxone. But anyways that's pretty cool.

Oh yeah, the avg half life of Suboxone is 45 hours, and that's just off a single dose. Likely weeks to fully clear.

Hello. Suboxone is one slow drug to get out of your system good luck with that. I tested positive 33 days later. And I weigh about a 139. My age is 52 & I run after a seven-year-old so it's not like I'm sitting on my butt. That's crazy. It's just a very slow moving drug to get through the system and nothing is going to get it out but time. I suggest like the others said buy a drug test and test yourself. You are 100 % right on. I'm getting tested weekly now by my sub dr. I pee in the cup,they peel back a flap and it reveals the deception of the last week.

Just read your post,, it moved me, I know what this like, you must live it to understand. I have never spoke to another soul about it but you being a total stranger makes me feel safe, but I run from the same monster as you everyday, I have things going well to an outsider, even my girlfriend has no idea, but I’m inches away from disaster at any given day, I had to take about 1 mg of a sub this morning hoping it will be gone by Thursday morning. That’s three full days. Why do I do this to myself? I hate myself for it...

His proof is all of the people who have actual issues dealing with this medicine in general. If your buddy gives you a strip once and you think you're the new sub doc then get off this site. People like myself have had to make significant life changes due to the good and BAD issues buprenorphine brings. If you're not abusing it and actually in a program or at least trying to lead a cleaner, better life then you will know that any known narcotic will show on a 10 panel test...and yes especially if it's specifically to test if you're actually taking said medication or buying it recreationally. Everyone is unique and has similar and significant differences dealing with this topic. So don't be rude and appreciate you're not the only soul on earth with an opinion.

I take a 6 panel test which tests us for suboxone so its definitely on a test.

I’ve been on suboxone for 12 years I have taken many 12 panel and 10 panel drug tests. Not once has suboxone ever showed up. I’m saying that. I agree with the above don’t take it. It only delays the inevitable. It’s not worth being tied to a pill for life. Suboxone is not the way to go.

I know you asked this question a while ago but if its a UA for work you'll be fine bc employers dont realize that the subs will not show up on a UA so you'll be jus fine girl

You're wrong they test for buprenorphine if it's sent to a lab they can easily detect it

I go to my sub doc every month and he has a 12 panel test that will indicate buprenorphine in your urine

Hi, (update drug test)

I had taken Suboxone Friday and Saturday. Went to my pain doctor on Tuesday at 4:10 they did a drug test and I PASSED. So it is possible for it to be out of your system going into your third day. Because I was going into my third day.

Good luck to everyone. I hope this helps someone.

People come on here and ask questions but we never get an update on them after they go to their doctor. I just wished more people would give us an update that's all.
