a round pill with AN 627 can it be used for pain if you a pancreas disease? ## What is wrong with your pancreas? Has your doctor prescribed it and told you to take it? It's sometimes difficult to say what medication may or may not irritate it, it really depends on how it's processed in the body and whether or not it may cause fluctuations to the pancreatic enzymes. a round pill with AN 627 can it be used for pain if you a pancreas disease? ## Hi annie, Based on my research, there is consensus that tramadol is the most effective oral opioid analgesic for reducing pain in persons with chronic pancreatitis; however, tramadol is associated with gastrointestinal adverse effects. Because of that, I would just recommend clarifying with your doctor the 'risks vs benefits' before taking any. I hope this helps!

I have read several posts that mention the risk of seizures related to stopping Tramadol. Could anyone give me more information about this? Any additional information on withdrawal symptoms would be also appreciated as well as the symptoms and risks of being on very high dosages. ( I have seen mention about "Serotonin Syndrome" related to Tramadol - what is that and what are the symptoms?) Thanks in advance for all info !! ## In most cases, for the risk of seizures to be present, someone would have to be taking high doses for a long period of time and then just stop taking it abruptly, so they go into full withdrawal. Hello thank you for stopping by. I have a problem with my index finger on my left hand. when i bend it there seems to be a small bump where the PIP joint is. It is a bit swollen, numb, bruised, and a bit stiff, but no pain. During my school day I remember playing soccer, and accidentally banging my fingers on the table. I don't think this is a fracture. When I bend my finger the small, hard "bump" protrudes out and stretches the skin. Is there any possibility of what this might be? Thank you. ## Sorry to hear about your finger. Unfortunately it is difficult to know what it is for sure without running any tests such as x-rays. When it comes to a joint, there are a lot of ways that you they can be injured, it could just be a piece of cartilage that has broken loose and moved o...

I have found one single green and yellow small capsule in husbands pocket. He has no prescribed drugs. There is no markings on it whatsoever. I am wondering if it could be some sort of illegal dug. Can anyone help ## It is most likely 50mg of Tramadol. Illegal? I only say yes because this is a pill from Mexico. Normally Tramadol pills in the US have a id and are white. So unsure how he obtained this pill. If he is only taking 1 when needed, might just be for pain and not an addiction. ## @Helsdilema, I ran a couple googles searches, and from what I can gather Tramadol does match the description you have provided. Tramadol is used for treating moderate to moderately severe pain. The drug has a wide range of applications, including treatment for restless leg syndrome, acid reflux, and fib...

TOOTH PAIN ## Is Trmidol a narcotic medication? ## Tramadol has been classified as a narcotic in the past, but as of the current time I am posting this in 2013, it is now only classified as a centrally acting analgesic. It is derived from an opiate, but has been found to not be as effective as traditional opiate narcotics are, thus its classification was changed. However, it should be noted that it may be habit forming and could cause side effects similar to those of narcotics, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Are there any other questions? Is there anything I can help with? You can learn more Tramadol details here.

Any word if tramadol will really be reclassified ad a controlled substance after Feb 27 and unable to be purchased online??? Im kinda freaken out about this. ## From what I could gather, Tramadol (Ultram, Ultracet, Ryzolt) is not a "federally" controlled substance, at least yet. However, states may individually classify it as such. As of December 2008, Kentucky has classified tramadol as a controlled substance. Although it is likely that other states have already done so as well. I believe NY and Oklahoma are two others that recently made a controlled substance. It is very possible that tramadol will be reclassified as a controlled substance on the federal level, but I have yet to find any supporting information pertaining to Feb 27th 2013. Has anyone else heard when it might be...

I am currently taking tramadol (2 pills daily) and diclofenac (1 pill daily) 50 mg temazapam (1 pill but only at night to sleep and I don't take it every night depending on how I feel), INH, prednisone 8 mg, methotextrate (only once a week) 10 mg and stomach antiacids cetrizine and another (I forgot the name but it is a less effective one then cetrizine), vitamin B6, a multi-vitamin, calcium w/ vitamin D, and folic acid and I am looking for a job. Could someone tell me if they have seen a round tablet with green flecked topside and white the bottom side, with the imprint T R 200 on it? I think the imprint is on the green side. What I have been told is that it is some kind of pain relief/muscle relaxant, but would like to know what it is. Someone gave it to my son for relief from Fibro symptoms, and I would like to know what he is taking. Is it even a legal drug? ## I just located a pill from Australia that seems to fit your description pretty accurately: "Tramadol Sandoz SR 200mg - round, flat, with facet; consisting of a white-coloured and a green-coloured layer. I am currently taking tramadol for lower back pain and its no different then taking tylenol. My neighbor gets oxycodone for her pain and she gave me one to take so I could be comfortable. It worked way better. I actually got off the couch and got a lot more accomplished. How can I convince my doctor to change my medicine without having to say that I had to take someone else's medication? Thanks for any advice. ## Hi Jessica, It's funny you mention that tramadol had similar effects as tylenol since others on here have also complained about the nonexistent effects of this medication. If you're to discuss this topic with your doctor in hopes of changing meds, I would suggest letting him know first that tramadol just isn't cutting it for you. If he legitimately gets the sens...

I have used tramodol 100mg er tablets for 6 months for aid in limting pain in my right hip after a fall. I was taking 2 in the AM and 1 in the evening. All went good until I recently started being unable to sleep all night. The doctor did not want to raise my dose and prescribed hydocodone/ace 5-500 and I still cannot sleep after a few hours. Should the dose of 2 tramodol be administered at night and the dose of 1 be used in AM. I do NOT have pain during the day other than very minor. ## From what I could gather, the plasma half-life of tramadol following a single or multiple dosing is 6 to 7 hours. That means it has the ability to provide more consistent pain relief over that time span, before it starts leaving your system. I would certainly consider doing as you suggested, taking the ...
