I broke my Tib/Fib bones above right ankle 10 months ago, had them set, cast for 3 months, followed by 6 months of pt, and now home, but pain still presents it self when I bare weight on right leg. Take water aerobics three times a week to help healing, but pain persists, Doc prescribed Tramadol HCL 50 mg tabs, but had no affect after a week of taking 3 times a day. Now he prescribes me Hydroco/Apap 10-325. While it puts me out of my mind, can't function on computer to sleepy to work, the pain is still there. Took this med for a day, took two days to get it out of my system. ## Hello, Chris! How are you doing? If the actual analgesics haven't helped, I'm wondering if you might be having pain from some nerve damage, rather than anything else. Have you tried any of the medicat...

from everyone's experience, what is Tramadol's effectiveness as a pain killer ? ## Well, when I tried it several years ago, all it did was make me sick. It didn't do anything for my pain. There are some people who seem to have good results with it, but different meds work for different people. Anyone else who has used this medication, please post your experience with it. ## I use Tramadol for lower back pains from several auto accidents and it works really well for me. ## It does not work for me at my prescribed dosage. The max. recomended dosage is no more than 400 mg a day. I find myself having to take up to 600 mg on a bad day. ## Then rather than take more, you need to discuss the issue with your doctor to explore other treatment options. ## Get emergency medical help if...

I have torn cartilage in my knee and have been waiting for surgery for like 4 months now and I am finialy having it tommo , but have just fell and I'm in quite a bit of pain and wanted to take my tramadol I have left from when my leg used to hurt like this , is it safe to take before surgery ? ## Hello, Derek! How are you? Please don't take anything before surgery, without checking with your doctor or the surgeon. Anesthesia can be very touchy and there are many drugs that it can negatively interact with. Can you reach your doctor or surgeon? When do you have the surgery?

Why is it that the T7 M keeps me more alert than the 319 pill. Is there anything else different about them besides the Manufacture? ## Hello, Canikas! How are you? The inactive ingredients can be different from one manufacturer to the other, so that could be what's affecting you. They are considered inactive, because they don't have an affect on most people, but some people are sensitive to them. Learn more Tramadol details here. I've been taking 50mg Tramadol, recommended as a "safe" long term medication for my Tail bone pain. Recently given sample pack of green and yellow Tramadol capsules. My heart feels weird with some light pains, Could the yellow/green Tramadol be fake or ingredients differ from the white tablets ? ## Hi Lucy! Anytime you feel like something may be affecting your heart, you should have it checked out by a doctor immediately. While there's a good chance that it's nothing, the risk of it being something dangerous is far too great to be posting on a free website and waiting for an answer. It is most likely some gas or acidity from the capsules, they probably contain some different inactive ingredients than the tablets, but I really can't stress enough how important it ...

10 years ago when I was a mover in NYC it was super easy, and affordable to pick an online doctor who would then call me, evaluate me and prescribe pain meds that they FedExed to me. It seems like those places don't exist anymore. These were real prescriptions. Does anyone know of a real doctor that still does this online? I wasted $210 on an office vistit at a "Pain management" place in Austin and they wanted to give me Tramadol. All that stuff does is make me dizzy and does nothing for my pain. Thanks for any help. ## Hi, Steven! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. However no, that type of prescribing isn't legal and actually never was, so severe crackdowns have been done to put an end to it. According to law, in order to prescribe anything for any reas...

I,m already prescribed tramadol for pain is it helpful for toothache? ## Hi Dot, Based on my research, Tramadol can be a feasible treatment option for pain associated with toothaches. Although certain over-the-counter meds such as ibuprofen are usually considered first line treatment options, it seems to be quite common for dentists to prescribe Tramadol in and of itself, or in combination with something like ibuprofen for serious tooth pain. You may also want to talk with your doctor or dentist about using an antibiotic (e.g. clove essential oil) to help fight the infection as well. I hope this helps!

i was on 100 mg if that a day of tramadol and up to a xanex a night i found out i 4 weeks pregnant and just stopped will the baby be ok ## Hi, Ashley! How are you? Congrats on the pregnancy! On this, you really need to talk to your doctor, when you're pregnant it can be hard to know what may have an effect or what might not. However, both of these medications have been known to cause fetal risk, so that makes it even more urgent that you discuss it with your doctor. In many cases, very early on, the damage may not be significant or permanent, but only your doctor can check and let you know for sure. Learn more Tramadol details here. I've got 100x 50mg Tramadol capsules in foil blister packs, with an expiry date of Dec 2007. I was prescribed them years back for extremely painful broken bones in my foot. Last year I was knocked of my motorcycle and got a number of injuries that I'm still struggling with. For a few months I was prescribed 60mg Codeine, but now I'm just on 1200mg ibuprofen and 4000mg paracetamol daily, but it's nowhere near as effective as the codeine was. Doc won't prescribe codeine again as it's addictive .....so, here I am, in constant pain and I've found my old unused box of tramadol. I'd really like some relief and respite from the constant hip and back pain I have, so do you think it would be ok to take some of the expired tramadol? 100mg at first I was thinking? I...

I've been on 1-2 tabs of tramadol a day for the last 8 years. A few years ago I tried quitting cold turkey and was unsuccessful due to the worse w/D's ever! About 8 months ago I lowered my dose to 1/2 tab a day and 4 days ago completely stopped. I haven't had any extreme withdrawals other then an upset stomach. My question is..now that I am on day 4 am I clear from the worse of withdrawals? ## Hi, Lynne! How are you doing? Any withdrawal symptoms yet? It's rather difficult to say, because it can vary from person to person, but I'd say you should still be on the look for such symptoms for a week or so. Learn more Tramadol details here. They may include rebound pain, headaches, chills, vomiting and diarrhea. ## Hello. I've had absolutely no withdrawal symptoms whic...

I have found conflicting answers to this question on the internet and think that it may well depend on how sophisticated the drugs test is and how detailed the analysis is. The reason I say this is that I attend a methadone clinic and have to give a urine test every 2 weeks. I take methadone daily and the test is negative but the week I took tramadol and the test came back positive for opiates. I went to see the doctor about this she confirmed that tramadol did make the test positive for opiates. Apparantly it is a fairly crude test that tests for two drug categories including opiates and amphetamines (including cocaine). Even though the test would only show positive, it could only identify the drug class and not type of opiate. However the test could discern between tramadol and methad...

I am in so much pain and was wondering what med is better for pain. ## Sorry to hear about the extent of your pain. However, it's important to know that what works for someone else may not necessarily work the same for you. While tramadol is often touted as a much weaker pain medication than your typical narcotic, (i.e percocet), I'm sure it also depends on several underlying factors (such as one's tolerance to pain meds, severity of pain, etc...) I would probably place my bet on the percocet being stronger though. But it sounds like you should definitely discuss this with your doctor if you've been contemplating this for a while. Stronger doesn't always mean better...at least when it comes to tapering off. I hope this helps!
