Tramadol Shortage (Page 42)

Does anyone know of a pharmacy with tramadol available? I tried ordering it but everyine keeps telling me its out of stock and not available until after the holidays. I run out of my rx today and can't wait until after the holidays so any help is appreciate it.

Brim, have you ever tried the tinture from of kratom (liquid form)? I plan on ordering some this wk. do to no meds. and I just need advise as to if it's any good or not,and is it a lot stronger like most people say? Thanks.

Ive been taking KRATOM off and on for over a year. It works for me... and I have had ZERO W/D from it...so not sure about what BRIM said about the W/D. I am a pretty heavy opiate user as well for spinal fusion.... so im pretty tolerant. I rely on the KRATOM, when i cant get my TRAMs... and also find that the KRATOM actually tends to last a bit longer. I use the Bali. I guess just as with opiates, it depends on the person also. But id check KRATOM out 1st b4 using it. read testimonials. I think ull find more people tend to have a positive reaction rather than negative. i order from a pretty reliable company with grade "a" KRATOM. would b happy to pass it on to u.

@angikay also... ive tried pretty much all the strains of KRATOM.. the Tincture is stronger than the capules.... i would caution and say to start of light if youve never tried it...and then build up to more. sometime it can be too strong. i prefer the caps... but if you want a much stronger feeling the Full Effect Extract would be the way to go. I take my caps daily for pain, not so much for the high, although if i take enough of the BALI i for sure get a buzz...that lasts for a few hours. I get the 1200ml caps. if u need any info let me know.!!! :)

NMO. Hey.... thanks for the awesome info. Could you let me no ur place? I did really like kratom a lot n couldn't believe how great in actually worked. But, I had taken the white vein mdt kind, and it gave me a lot of energy (almost too much)! Really want to try something more pain relieving that lasts longer, bec. the white vein lasted only 2 n a half to 3 hrs. at most. And, I also had to take 5 to 6 grams, bec. I have a high tolerance, and used to take opiates like candy. Now, I take tram. but cannot get them as of right now, so I need kratom. How long would a 4ml ( i think) dram of tincture last in your opinion? Thanks again.

I'm talking about the withdrawal from the ssri component of tramadol. It's an antidepressant-like drug. If you feel a mood boost when taking tramadol, chances are you will withdrawal from that component separately. Kratom does not have any such quality, so if you DO feel depression when quitting tramadol, kratom will likely not help that aspect. Another poster said the same thing happened to her either on this thread or a similar one.

@angikay if you got the full alkaloid tincture, i would start with about 10-15 drops....see how u feel... the full alkaloid tincture is usually the strongest out there and as long as u get from a decent company you should be set, but play with it a bit...like i said start slow...then build up, even if ur opiate tolerance is high... it will take a while to experiment to see whats good for you. and from what ive learned it make take a day or 2 for the Kratom to "kinda attach" itself to you. Let me tell you, its been my saving grace. Ive tried a bunch of stuff to help when im out of TRAM and found this BY FAR IS THE BEST AND CLOSEST IVE GOTTEN TO ANY OPIATE. You need to be careful taking kratom every day. The withdrawals from it can be severe. I'm a medical student, and I have worked in ERs for several years, and just recently we started seeing people coming in with severe side effects from kratom withdrawal. Just because it's natural and legal does not make it safe. Also, if you do end up taking a little too much, it can cause nausea, vomiting and dizziness.

@BRIM thanks.... good to know about TRAM with depression, although I was taking it for spinal fusion for pain, and never experienced depression when going thru the withdrawl just the pain aspects. when it comes to the KRATOM, i guess myself and the others i know are some of the lucky peeps, because i, nor they have experienced any withdrawl from KRATOM whatsoever, when we have stopped taking it. We also tho dont take it for a high, or abuse it but rather to help with everyday pain. I take a total of 6grams all day and its helped me tremendously, and has been so much easier on my system than the tram. The side effects of me taking the TRAM for over 6yrs have been drastic on my system and now l only rely on it for the days I have major pain. BUT I HAVE TO SAY HAVING THE KRATOM HAS HELPED ALOT, and im relieved Im able to have something better than the tram to take for pain. PEACE! :)

also @angikay there are GREAT INFORMATIVE SITES about Kratom and any risks, as to which I havent found ANY, but.... most sites say you shouldnt take KRATOM everyday or it may become habit forming like all drugs...and yes if you use KRATOM heavily EVERYDAY you are prone to W/D symptons...no different then if you stopped using TRAM, yet the W/D symptoms are NOWHERE as extreme as if you going thru opiate w/d. in my personal experience ONLY i have went thru hydrocodone and tram w/d... but had NO issues with KRATOM once i stopped using it for over a month...so i would say it would depend on the person but also to educate yourself. Im a fan of KRATOM and its helped me moreso than hurt me but it doesnt mean its for everyone. :)

NMO... wow! Thank you for the site, and also the advise. I will def. give those amounts a go around and see what takes place. I was hoping that I wouldn't necessarily need quite 10 to 15 drops, bec. I am afraid it won't last me for a wk. and I am unable to purchase more then that amount, but I shall see. I have gone to the kratom connisoure (omg I have no idea how to spell it!!!) site and received a lot of great advise as well, so I heard that kratom can also be habit forming. Thanks again for your help, and I look forward to trying that liquid stuff. But, I plan to visit ur site first.

NMO. I just tried to type you a thank you along with some other stuff, but... it's being reviewed naturally... LOL! I really appreciate your advise and I will def. check out ur site. I learned approx. a mth. ago that kratom can also be habit forming, so I understand that, and will take it into consideration. I'm positive it couldn't be any worse than methadone, nor tramadol though. Anyway, thank you so so much. Looking forward to trying the liquid form!!!!! Does it seriously take that many drops btw? 10 to 15? I'm assuming one dram prob. wouldn't last a full wk. then?

Crystal. Kratom is not a controlled substance. Headshops sell it, but usually bad or weak quality. you can order it online for better quality and a lot cheaper. Most places deliver within one to two days. I cannot give out too much info. as my answer will be rejected, but go to g.... where people looks things up, and you will find tons of reputable sites.

@crystal NO KRATOM is NOT CONROLLED SUB. u cannot buy it at any health stores that i know of. some "head shops" may sell it but its really hit or miss. my recommendation is to order it online. there r great sites out there. id recommend KratomTherapy
@angikay yes K-Therapy has a sample pack for $27 i think. u get 15 pills of 5 different strains. its the smaller pills so u have to take more. i ordered the sample pack of the caps to see what fit me best, and found the BALI was the best for me and best to helping me with pain. i then ordered the largest size caps. and take about 6-8 grams a day. now if you have a high tolerance u may have to up it. when it comes to the EXTRACT DROPS, yes i think a bottle should more than last u a week...my advise would be to do a bit of research of dosage suggestions. I found most people start out with 10 drops. ALL KRATOM EXTRACTS ARE DIFFERENT if they come from different companies. one may be weaker or stronger than another companies, so the 1st important thing is to find a dependable company such as K-Therapy.... but as i said b4...take ur time with it, be cautious and safe, start out slow. the FULL SPECTRUM EXTRACT is the strongest.

The withdrawal effects from kratom ARE different from tramadol's, and I have seen some very severe ones, NMO. Just because you've used it and haven't had problems and it's legal does not mean it is much safer than tramadol. The law simply hadn't caught up with it yet. There are several other, very toxic natural substances people use to get high that are newly discovered,and I see overdoses and withdrawals from those as well. Be careful! If you google "kratom withdrawal" you'll find some scary stories. And NMO, you do not have to be a very "heavy user" to experience this.

NMO, I'm happy to hear something is working for your pain. I just worry about the new, natural substances like these, because they're not regulated, but if you are only using a small amount and skipping days, you are using it as responsibly as possible. Far be it for me to tell anyone in pain not to use what works for them! Too many doctors are far too stingy when it comes to prescribing pain medication, and I think it's a cruel way to practice.it certainly won't be my MO.

NMO. This is a detailed question, but how many grams is like 10 drops of the liquid kratom? Have you personally purchased the liquid form from k-therapy? And, you said delivery is about a day? I noticed it doesn't show how much shipping n handling cost... do you know? And also, do they only accept credit cards. Thanks so much.

@angikay im not sure, because each place u order from may have a different potency or active-ness. so im not sure at what grams it will be active at. if u order from K-Therapy, they should include it on the bottle, OR when u order it u can ask them, they are very informative and helpful. Remember to go slow, just as you would if you were taking a new medication involving pain-killers. As for the safety of KRATOM...compared to TRAM or any other NARCOTIC PAIN-KILLER.... any med weather is be NATURAL or not will always have risk...BUT and I say BUT, from the history IVE READ about KRATOM including the one in OCT Med Journal praise how KRATOM can help rather than hurt, as do many informative sites. As ive stated B4 whats good for me may not be good for others, but I will certainly tell you this, I did my homework b4 taking it. For me it was a GREAT alternative to taking TRAMADOL when im out, and for someone who started out hooked on HYDROs for 2yrs then TRAMS for 4 for chronic pain, its been tough tapering down, and not abusing the TRAM, the KRATOM has helped me do that, and because of that my body feels much better. And ive had nothing but a great result using KRATOM while not abusing it.

i just tried postin but it needed to b reviewed. as fof the amount of drops, it should say on the bottle as to what grams its effective. u can also ask the company u order it from because not all KRATOMs are the same. I did my homework b4 taking it and always used it in a safe manner to help with the pain. Many of the site are Medically approved and will help you with questions involving KRATOM. I think you will find the testimonies very safe and informative. REMEMBER TO READ UP1ST and start slow when taking the EXTRACT. :)
