Suboxone Pain Doc In Triad Nc Area (gboro/hp/ws/durham)
UpdatedI have been dismissed from my practice in Reidsville BC who prescribe me Suboxone for pain relief because I was "excessively demanding" and because I "cussed" at an employee, which isn't true. I had been suffering from left hip pain which is my good hip (shattered pelvis in 2003) starting the second week in May. I had told my office about it multiple times but I had been pushed off to their PA which was unable to do anything all I was asking for was a MRI and a injection. Finally the end of June I got to see the doctor after demanding that I would not see the PA that my appt was with the doctor & that's who I needed to see because of my new hip problems on my good side. He walked in the room & crossed his arm and said he was NOT going to up my medicine I explained that's not what I wanted I just wanted a MRI and/or an injection that I had been going to my family doctor & he said the only thing to tell me was talk to my pain doctor about it because that was his job. After being very patient (6 weeks-3 appts) I was finally seen the injection was scheduled for the end of July a month later. I told them I couldn't wait that long I had been in bed for 6 weeks there was something going on so they scheduled it for July 10th. On July 9th I got a phone call saying he had to reschedule I told them I couldn't wait that long that I had had no sleep that night and 2.5hrs the night before that it was getting worse I needed assistance dressing myself and shaving my legs etc & asked to speak to the nurse she said yes hang on. I looked at my husband and said crying "they canceled my f***ing appt for my injection" the lady said ma'am if you are going to use that language I'm going to have you dismissed from the practice. I asked what her name was and she started spelling it I said " I didn't ask for you to..." And heard the beeping for the hold tone what I was trying to say was I didn't ask for her to spell it I asked what it was so I could apologize that she heard me drop the F bomb to my husband which I typically don't speak that way but I had had no sleep and was in a lot of pain and really was looking forward to the appt the next day.
The following week I went back to my family doctor and explained I wasn't getting anywhere quickly there and needed to see a Ortho doc to find out what was going on he tried to order a MRI & scheduled me a appt with Ortho doc it was denied. I went to the appt and he tried to order a MRI and it was denied as well bc I hadn't been to physical therapy. So I made a appt for PT went to the appt and he couldn't do a proper evaluation bc I was in so much pain and suggested I got a MRI. Again doing all this all on my own when it's suppose to be something my pain doctor handles. The day I come back from PT I got a letter in the mail stating that bc of the foul language toward the employee and my excessive demanding that he was dismissing me from the practice. So I went back to the Ortho doc & I finally got a approval for the MRI & got it done the day it was approved & come to find out I have a tear in my hip which is causing the massive pain on my left side. I had a appt with my pain doc the next day & didn't know what time it was so I called to verify the time & they canceled my appt & asked if I had received a letter in the mail I said yes but he said he had to see me legally for 30 days till I got a new doctor for "weaning process". I attempted to talk to the lady & explain my side I even went around to chiropractor, acupuncturist, family doctor, PT & Ortho doc to bring in what I have done on my own since May myself to my appt but he won't sit down with me. They are saying they don't have to have a face to face but I could submit my prescriptions for review & go from there. I only take neurotin, soma & suboxone (4mg 2x day) & I know he will just ignore them & not write them. So I need to find another pain management doctor in the triad area (I don't mind going to Durham High Point Greensboro or Winston Salem) if the doctor is truly one who want to help I'm not on a massive amount of Meds & I take the suboxone bc it helps me more with anything I've ever taking for pain & I've taken it all in the op family! I also have NC Medicaid so if anyone know of a doctor in the area who would write the suboxone & help me with this tear in my hip please let me know. The Ortho doc unfortunately doesn't write suboxone or he would write it for me. Tomorrow I am going to be out & im honestly so worried it's pathetic I'm nauseous. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
