i think it is wrong for you to assume you know evryones situation. i was on 25 loatab 10s a day and was spending every dime i got on them and then some. i have been on suboxone for 3 years now and i do not care if i am addicted to them, it is as easy as putting a strip under my tounge once a day rather then the headache of worrying and hunting money and pills all day long. i love them, they are a life saver!

if you are bad on oxy or dope i would recommend suboxone, if you are just on percs or vics or some other less powerful opiate i would tough out the wd's as they are alot shorter then the wd's from subs. I am still trying to kick the subs. they keep you coming back for me however they do give you your life back if you are in the gutter.

Yes. I was heavily addicted to oxycodone, taking between 120-160 milligrams once or twice daily. I've been on suboxone for four days with no withdrawals at all and absolutely no cravings. of course will power plays a huge role but if you truly want to quit this medication is the way to go.

i was using percocets at first , as many as 20 a day, then to oxys, as many as 10 (80's) a day ! suboxone has saved my entire life , in an instant ! i owe my life to it ! 4 mgs a day is all it took

im taking a guess that suboxone is the similar to subutex which is handed out in uk 2 people with opiate problems. the bad news is that all this people that think its sorted them out-ur wrong, subutex/suboxone is an opiate and is addictive, so u all have just swapped from 1 opiate 2 another and are still addicted to opiates (stop taking them and u will find out. opiate addiction has no easy way out. if u want to stop opiates u have to just go cold turkey otherwise u will be jumping from 1 opiate to the next the rest of ur life. ive been there and its hell coming off opiates but worth 7-10 days of illness rather than a life of misery.

SUBOXONE AND SUBUTEX ARE THE SAME THING, BUBRANORPHINE. AN OPIATE.

Had a horrible experience with it. I kept telling Dr. I must be alllergic but she kept saying it was withdrawalls from Morphine (low Dose , not abusing either0 Taking 2mg sub - 1/2 in morning - 1/2 in evening. Couldn't breathe good, freezing , just felt like I was dying. Stopped taking suboxone and finally after 2weeks I am fine.

Hey, Bodybuilder, I am in the same boat, just stumbled upon this board. Oxy's killed me, I went from 240 down to 210 with no desire or energy to lift. Just wanted some feed back on your Suboxone experience. I only have a few so wanted to ween myself down to as little as possible then was thinking about cutting 8mg Suboxone film into quarters, to get through the withdrawl. Any other feed back would be greatly appreciated about your experience.

Except one has Naloxone and the other doesn't. Also, doctors are way more leery of writing for Subutec since it doesn't block your opiate receptors....therefore, you got keep doing and getting high off all the pain meds one was doing before.

lookinforanswers:
i myself was heavily addicted to 30 mg roxis for 5 yrs. i was taking 2 pills at a time 10-12 times a day. I then decided to get on sub films. they worked amazing for me and i felt so good about being clean that I thought i could stop taking them cold turkey. BAD IDEA. they have a lifespan of 72 hours so you might feel fine after 3 days but then you might get some w/d's. the smartest thing to do is exactly what your thinking. take them 8 mg film and cut it into slivers! not quaters tiny slivers. also dont worry about naxalon thats in the tablets. i have spent countless hours, days, and months preparing myself for this bc of all the scary horror stories i read online and some people just didnt do their homework. Do not job off from anything less then .25mg and also make sure your spacing your dosage days. if you take a dose, wait till 3 days, take a lower dose, and then wait 4 and so on. I had a 8 mg film on dec 8th after being on sub for almost a yr, milked it till jan 4. when i realized i didnt even take it a dose for 5 days. This was bc i was mentally preparing myself to come off of sub. sticking to a weaning off plan that made sense, after 3 days of the subs life span is done, so your brain starts to send out cravings, give yourself a dose lower dose, then day 3 another lower dose, then wait 4 days for a lower dose. etc. you dont want it to happen so fast your body creates habits after 21 days. you dont have to wait 21 days but i suggest doing this over a 2 week period let you body adjust to wants happening and then it wont go into such shock. And i promise you this works, like i said i was freaking out after i was reading some of these peopls stories of horror, but you cant read them and you have to keep a clear mind and just stick to a taper. Drink lots of smart water it helps flush out everything and gives you electrolytes as well. And if you feel like you cant sleep which you should be able to, get melatonin vitamins they are non habit forming sleeping vitamins. if you have any other questions just ask ! you can do this
