Is there a servere reaction if you take them both at same time i got sucidual ## Hello Christian, Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Prozac and Seroquel. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. In conclusion, these two medications are regarded as being safe to take together and shouldn't present any problems outside of the normal side effects associated with each medication. However, both of these drugs individually have side effects that may lead to suicidal thoughts. In this case, you may want to speak with your doctor about switching medications or consider a natural alternative. I hope this helps to answer your question!

My dad was given Seroquel to control his bad behavior in a nursing home. He has dementia. He immediately had a bad reaction to the drug. He went from being able to sit up, walk with a walker, talk, eat on his own to not being able to walk, slurring his speech, being confused, and crying uncontrollably. He also got more aggressive. Instead of stopping the drug, they gave him a higher dose. That's when it really got sad. After the higher dose of seroquel, my dad could not sit up on his own, could not feed himself, and could not talk. He stares straight ahead in a confused void. It is so sad that he cannot communicate because he does seem like he can understand sometimes. He has trouble breathing and has declined so badly that he probably will not live much longer. Seroquel kills the e...

My side effects are increased anxiety which includes nausea and vomiting in the morning, scratching, digging into skin, thoughts of more harmful self-mutilation to deal with consequences (like, no one will get mad at me for being late if I were hit by a car or fell down the stairs), and watery eyes. I take 50m, anything less and I can't sleep. This is the second time I've been put on this drug. It worked for a month but now it feels like my anxiety dial has been turned to 11. ## Then it likely isn't the right medication for you to use. Learn more Seroquel details here. There are other medication options available. What others have you tried? Exactly what symptoms do you need to treat?

I am having trouble withdrawing from Seroquel. I used to take 100mg for sleep, but managed to bring my dosage down to 25mg. However, I started to have anxiety problems and went back to 50 mg. Since then I've been shaving the 50 mg pill down to 3/4 of a pill. However I get very tired and groggy. If I try to shave it down further I get anxiety that only improves when I take more seroquel. It seems like I have a choice between anxious and groggy. Do you have any suggestions for how I could get off of seroquel completely while minimizing the grogginess and/or anxiety? ## Have you consulted your doctor for assistance? Seroquel contains the active ingredient Quetiapine, which is an antipsychotic and a sudden cessation of any medication that has an effect on brain chemicals is going to cau...

I've stopped taking this medicine as it was very helpful in getting me through a rough few years. I have 107 200 mg pills left. What is the best way to dispose of these pills that are still sealed in blister packs? ## You can post them to me that would help you to get rid off them and be good for me. :) ## You can take them to any local pharmacy and they will be glad to dispose of them for you. Alternatively, if you want to do so yourself, the current FDA recommendations suggested that you would open all the blister packs to remove the pills and then mix them in with some moist/wet undesirable substance, such as coffee grounds, used car litter or something similar and then dispose of them in the garbage. To put them in the garbage you should make sure that the mixture is in some typ...

Five years ago I was put on Seroquel during a very anxious, cyclic, bipolar episode due to tremendous stress in my world. What should have been a short term medication (for me), turned into an endless health nightmare. Weight gain, high blood pressure, trouble with making simple sentences in speech, extensive pain from weight I just could not fight, immune system compromised. After a while my anxiety increased and my Dr. increased the Seroquel and just kept pumping it in without listening to me about how physically miserable I was. I changed Dr.'s in November, and he is a Godsend. He put me on Lamactil and I have no side effects from it. However, even though I tapered off the Seroquel, I still suffered a horrible withdrawal that virtually lasted almost 7 weeks. I had a few good days...

I've been taking Seroquel for 4 years (150mg before bed) and my husband and I want to try to get pregnant in about 6 months. I am willing to try to get off of it completely before I get preganant but i'm terrified of what will happen to me (mentally)and if the risidual seroquel in my body will effect baby. ## Have you talked to an ObGyn about it? They would really be the most knowledgeable about advising you in this matter. It can be very difficult to know how long the effects may last in the body and whether or not there will be danger to a developing baby, but they should have more information on it. They can also advise you on what's safest for you to use while trying to get pregnant and while you are pregnant.

I am taking the antipsychotic Seroquel, what is the normal dosage one should take? ## I take 1400 mgs of seroquel a day is this normal ? ## Although that is way too much for me, its a common dosage amount for some. Alzheimer patients and those with severe psychosis often get 3500 mg and up according to my doc. I was prescribed 50 mg per day 5 years ago for shift work disorder. (an off label use) About an hour later I've got quite the buzz, and sleep well. ## I was told 800mg is the max dosage however I don't know your history. I was on 25mg for 7 years and it worked better then than my.200mg I now take.for bipolar. It is an amazing drug once your body gets used to it. My dr explained it like a shotgun shell. It is one pill that works differently on each person but works for depr...

Dr put me on 25 mg for depression. I also take Celexa 40 mg. I was concerned about side-effects but was told not to worry. NOW Dr. says "you need to go off seroquel" after 3 months. I'm finding relief from my depression symptoms and she says I need to get off of it because it increases the risk of stroke by 3 times. Why did she put me on it in the first place? Is there brand new info that has surfaced that has changed her mind in 3 months? Advice? ## There is a warning about it, but it's relevant to other risk factors, such as having already had a stroke, TIA's, smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure or atrial fibrillation. I am trying to wean myself off of Seroquel. I started at 100mg and weaned myself down to 25. It was fine for a while until anxiety symptoms reoccurred. I am now taking about 3/4 of a 25 mg tablet by shaving it down with a file. I also take .5mg clonopin at night to curb anxiety. The problem is that I am waking up groggy and tired, which is weird because that never happened on the higher dose. But If I try to shave it back to half a pill, I can't sleep and experience bad anxiety. How can I get myself off of this stuff so that I don't get anxious and avoid the tiredness, that sometimes lasts all day? ## I made a mistake. I shave down 3/4 of a 50mg tablet, not 25. ## Your body does get used to anything you take for a long period of time, even if you don't abuse it. This is perf...
