oxycodone hcl acetaminophen
2 Replies RSS
Is oxycodone 10 mg hcl just as strong as the oxy 10 w/tylonal in them? Does one just have tylonal in it & that's it? ## Tylenol and Acetaminophen are the same thing. Tylenol is the brand name for Acetaminophen. ## @Archangel, A 10mg Oxycodone with the addition of Acetaminophen is most certainly going to be stronger than a 10mg Oxycodone tablet in and of itself. Acetaminophen is just there for those who may need a little more relief. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Oxycodone Details Are you not noticing much difference between the two, in so far as your pain levels are concerned?

hydrocodone/apap 7.5-500mg/15ml
3 Replies RSS
My doctor prescribed the liquid hydrocodone/APA 7.5-500mg/15ml to me for pain. The pharmacy label says to take 1 TEASPOON every 6 hours. This seems unusual given that this dosage seems to be most often given in 15ml doses as opposed to the 5ml in a teaspoon. I took it as the label recommended and honestly can't tell a bit of difference. Is it possible that the pharmacy mislabeled? Based on what I have read, I should be safe to 15ml at a time, right? I sure would like to take the full dose tonight so I can finally get some rest. ## What does the pharmacy list for the dosing amounts in the 5ml? Did you check to see if they substituted? They sometimes do that if they don't have the dosing form that your doctor prescribed in stock. Have you called the pharmacy to ask? If they just m...

I just got a batch of Oxycodone HCL(generic oxycontin) in Ontario Canada and they do not seem to come even close to the original oxycontin. What's going on?I was told by my pharmasist that the ingredients are the same-I used to take 4 80's a year ago and that relieved my pain-Now I am doing 6 80's and it doesn't seem to be close to what they used to be.Is it a matter of getting used to them or what ?help Pls-still in agony Does anyone have a real answer rather than opinions? ## There is a level of allowable fluctuation in generics in both the U.S. and Canada, so you may not be getting quite the same amount of Oxycodone as you were before. Learn more Oxycodone details here. You might want to discuss upping your dosage, if necessary. It's also possible that you've j...

tussigon itching side effects
1 Reply RSS
Can a dog develop allergy to tussigon given for trachea collapse? There seems to be itching and scratching which is happening, not related to heat or fleas. Could it be the Med? ## It is as easy for dogs to be allergic to something as it is for people….this applies to all other animals, as well. However, it could also be due to the fact that this contains the narcotic Hydrocodone, it can cause itching as a side effect. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. I would suggest contacting your veterinarian about either getting an alternative medication, or something you can use for the itching. Is there anything else I can help with?

tramadol and energy
1 Reply RSS
I too have increased energy and cheerfulness with a single 50 mg Tramadol. When I don't take it for a day I am very lethargic and ache. I try not to take it more than a few days in a row. The doctor is surprised at the side effects. Thank you to those who shared a similar experience. I had been wondering if this was my imagination. I hope to stay off it several days to see if my usual energy returns as it did eventually the last time I didn't take it for several days. It's a great mild pain reliever, but the mood alteration concerns me. ## Hi, Suellen! How are you? The classification for Tramadol has changed several times over the years, right now it is once again classified as an opioid and they can cause increased energy and euphoria in some people that take them. That...

will i pass a drug test on wed if i at morphine 15 mg on sunday morning? ## Like most other narcotics, Morphine is generally detectable for approximately 4 to 5 days, after your last use. However, there is no precise time frame, because there are many individuating factors that come into play, such as your overall health, metabolism, activity levels and etc. Are there any other questions or comments? ## What fruits and drinks should i take to clean my blood and my hair even my urine from marijuana and shabu?

trouble swallowing with morphine sulfate e 15 mg er dark blue pill
2 Replies RSS
I've be taking a larger amount 30 mg for approx a week or so and i am having more trouble swallowing than usually and is quite painful. I have been on morphine 15 mg twice a day for about 2 weeks before that. Can you help me.I have had trouble with my throat before but not this bad. ## Is your throat really dry? Narcotics can cause dry mouth and that can sometimes create trouble swallowing, since the esophagus needs to be lubricated to swallow properly. Learn more Morphine details here. Have you consulted your doctor? You really need to have it checked out, before it becomes a serious problem. ## Hi there. I'm not sure if you're aware of this but Morphine comes in a liquid form, as well. You may want to look into that form of Morphine if your swallowing becomes any worse.....

the phone number for the makers of Opana
1 Reply RSS
I am having a very hard time finding a pharmacy that has my Opana prescription in Columbus, Ga. ## HI, Trae! Sorry that you're having a problem getting your prescription filled. However, you won't get any help from the manufacturers, they won't be able to tell you any specific pharmacy that has it in stock. They have no way of knowing if the person on the other end of the phone is a legitimate patient with a need, or a possible thief that wants to rob the pharmacies of controlled substances. That is the same reason that you won't get an accurate answer from a pharmacy if you call them to see if they have it in stock. Which brings up the question, are you going to the pharmacy with the prescription in hand to ask, or have you been calling them?

Which type of Lortab?
1 Reply RSS
I was given a Lortab with a 10 on one side and on the other side a BP or 8? divided in the middle and 643 on the other side. CVS gave me these and just one made me sick. I found this site and was wondering if someone could tell me the manufacture of this pill. I've been on Hydrocodon for a while and have never experienced this from "one" pill. ## Hi, Tinkerbell! Sorry that it made you ill. The BP logo on this tablet stands for Boca Pharmacal, Inc. and to give you the precise details, it contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 300mgs of Acetaminophen. Learn more Lortab details here. There may be a different inactive ingredient in it that you're sensitive to and that may be why you got ill. Is there anything else I can help with?

non narcotic pain relief
1 Reply RSS
I can not take any NSAIDs due to being a gastric bypass patient and there is too much of a risk of a bleed with these drugs.. I am already on hydrocodone so I can not take any other narcotic analgesics. Is there any other non narcotic chronic pain reliever out there to supplement the hydrocodone. Can't take tramadol now because NYS classified this as a narcotic. My doctor is going crazy trying to find something for me and has had no luck so far. ## Why can't you take another narcotic? They are very commonly combined to give someone better pain relief. People with severe pain are often given a long acting narcotic along with a regular or instant release one for breakthrough pain. But if your doctor doesn't want to combine them, you could switch to a different one that's s...

what is codoxol for
3 Replies RSS
codoxol is yellow ,but they issued a green one for me to take half tablet tds.it it really codoxol ## Hi tisto, Codoxol contains: Codeine 10mg + Paracetamol 450mg + Caffeine 30mg + Doxylamine Succinate 5mg. I can look up the individual use of each active ingredient, however, I could not find a description of the whole tablet in and of itself (other than the fact that it may be yellow or green in color). If you were issued the green pill by a reputable pharmacy in your area, I would have no reason to believe that it could be fake or the wrong prescription. In all uncertainty you may want to call them and confirm this, just for your safety. ## My daughter get severe headaches that even stillpains can't relieve, what can she take? ## I have yellow greenish discharge coming out of my ge...

white lortab 10 watson 540

Two weeks after I started taking the new white watson 10 mg lortab I began to develop blisters on the back of my hands and wrist as well as noticing that they are not near as strong. I used to take 1/2 blue pill in the morning for years but now I need two whole white ones to be able to move around. Sucks!!! I also developed white bumps on my ankles and swelling in my left foot but not painful or any itching. anyone else? ## Hi, Jo! Sorry about the problems you're having… And yes, there are plenty of other people that have posted about experiencing odd side effects from them and stating that they don't seem to be as effective. Those blisters are concerning, it could be an allergic reaction to something they've used in these ones. Have you consulted your doctor? You real...

iDDS change from fentanil to sufentanil, too much or not enough

My dr changed my intrathecal pump med from fentanil to sufentanil 5 days ago. The change hit my system on Thursday morning. I had feeling of weakness in my legs, lethargic, tired. My blood pressure was 139/ 85. High for me. I saw my dr and he reduced the dose from 80mcg to 63mcg. I am not better. I am now having sweating, diarrhea, and blurred vision along with the other symptoms. I have been on Sufentanil before but many years ago. I'm going to see him tomorrow and my question is was I over dosed or under dosed. He told me when he adjusted my dose that he thought I would need more and thar is why he wanted me to call in and let him know how I was doing. When I came in with complaints of over dose he was surprised. I have a PTM personal therapy management that let's me give myse...

my doctor said no to pain medicine, is that allowed?

In 1994 I was in a car wreck that put me in a full body cast, broken femur, fx skull, on top of a history of abdominal surgeries from Hirschprungs. In 2000, a hernia repair surgery. in 2008, tumor removal. 2009, car wreck that resulted in no broken bones, but made my back and hip pain worse. Jan 2012, tumor removal. Nov 2012, c Section that resulted in torn bladder from exessive scar tissue in the abdomen. During most of these things I was on a pain medicine ranging from Ibuprofen to Lortabs. After my bladder repair from the c section I was on a combination of Morophone injections and Percocets. Pain medication was stopped in January 2013. To this day, I have chronic pain. My back, my hips, my hand, my feet. My insides! Everything is in pain. I have done PT, electrotherapy, chiropractic...

I have taken lorecet 10 for quiet sometime They were always blue in color but the last time I got them they were made by Watson and were white. And I have nonstop itching with the white. Why. ## Hi, Taylor! Sorry about the problem you're having. And I wish I had an answer for you, but I don't. So far, they claim to have only removed the dye, but many people are reporting experiencing odd side effects, or less effectiveness, which makes it seem that more has been changed. Learn more Lorcet details here. Have you alerted your doctor to the problem? They may need to write your prescription so no substitutions can be made and you can only be given the name brand.
