Moundsville, Wv Need A Doctor

I just moved into the area and am in need of finding a doctor that can take care of me but one that isnt afraid to prescribe a narcotic such as vicodin. I dont want to have to go to be a guinea pig at a pain clinic somewhere I just want a doctor that is basically a one stop all. Can anyone help or suggest anyone to me?

I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in so far as finding pain management doctors within your general area.

I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients. To get a real vibe for the doctor you may even want to follow up with a visit in person.

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but on the east coast, it is doubtful that you'll be able to find a GP to prescribe it.

Due to what is said to be overprescribing of controlled substances and improper handling of chronic pain patients, new regulations have gone into effect as of the first of the year to have anyone requiring such medications for long-term pain treatment moved into pain management.

There will only be rare exceptions where people can stay with the doctor with whom they've already established care.

Additionally, the medications such as Vicodin, Lortab, Norco and the generics that contain Hydrocodone are ones that they want to transition to only being used for short-term pain treatment, such as for a few weeks after someone has been injured in an accident or had surgery.

Yes I actually was put into a pain clinic in January and the doctor basically treated me like dirt. He also changed my medications to stronger narcotics that I didnt NEED (MS Contin and Roxycet) So I fired him and got in with another pain clinic. Showed up to my appointment today and they turned me away because the previous pain doctor I was with said I was still a patient with him. I'm just completely lost here and am really feeling like theres no hope for me or my pain.
