How reliable is the Indian Manufacturer Aurobindo of Metoprolol Tart 50mg any complaints? . I have been taking this medicine made by Teva for a few years . My Pharmacy changed to Aurobindo. My BP is stable and I don't want this to change in any way by taking a different generic. ## Hello, Redd! How are you? You should be fine, even though it is made by a different manufacturer, it does have to meet the same rigid quality control and efficacy guidelines as all the others. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## who is the manufacturer for Metoprolol Tartrate and how can I get a M F discount card?

White round pill with a capital M on one side and on the other side 736. Someone said it was for blood pressure. ## The closest match I could find is a white round pill with W over 736 on one side and scored on the back, that is reportedly identified as Metoprolol succinate ER (100 mg) - A medication used for treating high blood pressure. For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Wockhardt USA. I've yet to come across anything with the exact description you supplied, but will be sure to post back if I do. Does anyone else here recognize this as being something different?

I have been taking Atenolol 50mg for about 4 years to treat my hypertension; it was working wonderfully, but I suddenly had to switch to Metoprolol Succ. ER 3 months ago because of a manufacturer shortage of Atenolol. I took it just as I did the Atenolol: which was whenever I woke up/got my day started, I paid no mind to missing a dose here and there (such as when I felt like sleeping all day) or whether or not I was taking it with a meal---so basically totally wrong. I realize now I was not taking the Atenolol exactly as indicated, but it never posed a significant problem. However, my BP levels are basically where they were before I ever started Atenolol now that I have switched to Metoprolol ER (135/85-150/90 something). The day I went to my doctor for my 3 month checkup (which was 2 ...

How can I stop? Thank you. ## There are many people that have problems due to the side effects of this class of medications. That said, however, since you are taking it for such a serious condition, it is not advisable to just stop abruptly. It can cause a rebound effect that could make your palpitations worse. You should contact your doctor, immediately, regarding this matter. Have you tried getting in touch with your doctor, yet? ## I am on 100 mg per day of Metoprolol for borderline HBP. I have been taking Lexapro for the last 10 months. I have recently stopped. This week I feel very light headed, dizzy and absolutley exhausted. I am having difficulty sleeping also. I have had a pretty busy week as I work and I have a daughter of 18 months to look after also. Can you advise me of a course of action please? ## Have you consulted your doctor? Why did you stop taking the Lexapro? It contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant and, after taking it continuously for that long, a sudden cessation will normally result in some withdrawal symptoms and rebound effects, because your body has gotten used to having it. Usually these medications need to be tapered, over a period of time, to help prevent the worst of these problems from occurring. ## I ...

I have white coat and anxiety. My doctor has had me on Metoprolol 100mg succinate once a day and just switched me to 100mg tartrate twice a day since my BP was high in his office. Is this dangerous or the dosage too high? Seems like a high dosage. ## Hello, Kera! How are you? What are your bp levels at other times? If it's really only high, when you're in the doctor's office, a medication isn't necessary. Even an ER won't treat for that, they will only do so if levels are dangerously elevated. As to the medication, it is actually safe in doses up to 450mgs a day. ## I take Lisinopril 10 mg a day and Metoprolol 100 mg at night. My blood pressure is still elevated around 150s/90s. I've been on 25mg, Extended Release, of Metroprolol Succinate for a while, about four or five years I think - never on a higher dosage. It was prescribed for hypertension, along with Diltiazem and Hydrochlorothiazide. The doctor took me off of the Diltiazem about a year ago, so now it's just been the Hydro and Metoprolol. I've lost 60 pounds in the last year, and my heart rate was very low when I saw the doctor on Friday, so he said to discontinue the Metoprolol. I asked him if I should wean off of them, and he said no, it was perfectly OK to stop them cold turkey. I told him that when I had run out of pills a few months back for about three days, my heart started racing and beating erratically. He still said it was OK to just stop them. I've been Googling this, and can ...
