I have chronic pain and i take methadone for both pain and addiction. I need to find a doctor that prescribs methadone in office not clinic ## Hi Stephanie! Doctors cannot prescribe methadone to people who have addiction issues. It's not that they don't want to, they can't. It's against the law. Sorry, but it looks like your stuck going to a clinic.

Hi, I was on Methadone for 15 years. For the past 2 years they slowly tapered me because I did not want to feel any withdrawals. They got me all the way down to 3 mg, and I stopped going. Well that was 30 days ago and I'm still going through withdrawals. They are not severe, insomnia, anxiety, diarrhea, cold chills. My question is how 2 stop it? I just want to feel normal again. ## Hi, Tamara! Sorry about the problems you're having. However, that is one very big issue with Methadone, it tends to cause withdrawals and cravings for a very long period of time, that's why most people never completely get off of it and end up requiring a lifetime maintenance dose. Thus, I'm afraid there's no way to know for sure when the symptoms you're having will stop, or if they wi...

Need doc in dayton ohio who prescribe methadone ## Hello, Charles! How are you? If you're looking for addiction treatment, a regular doctor is not allowed to prescribe it to you for that, according to the current treatment laws. They can only prescribe it for pain. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If you're looking for it for pain treatment, then you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?

I'm bugging out I'm realty hitting. Bad people ruin it for us that are realty in pain ## Hello, Rich! How are you? Yes, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you will need to see a pain management specialist, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, now. Your doctor has no choice in the matter. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you ever tried pain management? The doctors that specialize in chronic pain ofte...

Hello.. I recently started going to the Methadone clinic to help me with my addiction to H and painkillers. I am currently on 60 mg. They have been moving me up very slowly because I have liver issues. I am still experiencing bad WD symptoms in the evening and it's driving me nuts! I also have several autoimmune diseases. I don't know if it could be because of the diseases or maybe 60 mg, it isn't high enough to keep me good 24/7 yet. Any ideas or advice? My boyfriend is angry with me because I'm still sick 10-12 hours after I get my dose. He's not the only one frustrated though. I'm living through it still, and I thought the clinic would be the answer :-( ## Hello, Nikki! How are you? It seems the clinic is trying to help, but they must be cautious due to your l...

need a doctor who prescribes methadone and takes medicaid on the west side of columbus. its for my daughter and her boyfriend. ## Hello, Jeff! How are you? A regular doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment. The only option for that is a Methadone clinic. That is the way the law currently stands. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you have a clinic nearby?

I'm helping my son find a chronic pain doctor, he had a crush injury to his lower leg & has drop foot from the fasciotomy. He has terrible itching, burning and neuropathy pain. It would be so much easier for him to go to a Methadone Clinic where few question's are asked than be seen at a Pain Clinic where we are treated like scum of the earth. Only pride keeps him from doing this. I don't get it. ## Hello, Rhett! How is your son doing? Does he currently have a PCP that he sees regularly? If so, having them refer him to someone would likely be the easiest way for him to get the help he needs. Does anyone know of a good doctor in AR? Has he tried any of the medications for neuropathic pain? His regular doctor can prescribe those. ## It is best that he doesn't go to a M...

I live in Alabama and the tri county methadone clinic is where I go. I have medicade and it pays for my dose and gas to get to the clinic and im so appreciative because I live almost thirty miles away and if I didnt have medicade I would not be able to afford the gas to go sixty miles a day ## That is awesome! There are many people posting who can't afford it, or have trouble getting to their clinic. It's great of you to share your experience with others. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Now after reading other peoples messages I'm worried! Was this a dumb idea or what?? Ideas and opinions are wanted.... ## Hi DomDarko! I never had a problem taking methadone with a benzo. I was on 110 of methadone 4 almost 5 years, and also took Klonopin the whole time with it. I'm now on suboxone and still take the Klonopin. Sometimes, my doctor would even prescribe Valium 4 break through anxiety and panick attacks. Hope this puts your mind at ease. Just take it as prescribed. ## @DomDarko, Some people may not have any problem using the two together, but based on my research, there are minor to moderate drug inter...
