I'm sorry, but there is no directory of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. What you need to do is set up an appointment with a pain management specialist and go from there. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that location? Melissa, what is your general location? That would make it easier for someone to suggest doctors, if they know of any.

Just wondered if anybody has any experience of coming off 30ml of methadone and how long it took them really.Ive cut down over a year from 60ml to 30ml but am getting impatient and hoped I could get some idea of how much longer Ide be taking it for.Any input much appreciated, Thanks Nasa. ## the slower you taper the better off you'll be. I am in a methadone program and i have been clean for 9 years of everything and anything but methadone and i getr tested every month when i go in to get my monthly take homes now all of the sudden they are saying I failed last month for benzos and this month for barbiturates and I do not even know what those are, but they are saying I failed but I know that I havent taken anything to fail and another thing they just changed their swab tests to a new kind this month when I went in there. something is really wrong here and its not ok. ## May i ask what clinic you go to? I'm in a clinic also and they only give one week take outs.

Clinics near south suburbs of Chicago. I currently go to a private doctor and I cant afford it, that why I need help, I DO NOT WANT TO RETURN TO H. Please help thank you. I live in Steger IL, so if the clinic is within 35 miles of driving that is fine.

My ex was addicted to morphine for years. Was pulled over by police in MI and they saw my take home lock box. Asked me what was in it and I told them about being a patient at the clinic and it was my take home. I was ordered out of the vehicle and made to do all the roadside sobriety tests, which I passed. I was cuffed and taken to the hospital for a blood draw, my truck was impounded, license plate and drivers license destroyed and lodged in the county jail overnight. My blood I know came up clean which is why they turned me into the Sec of State saying I have health issues that make it so I can't drive. This was over 3 months ago and they still have it in computer that I cannot get a license plate for my vehicle. Working single dad can't afford legal help this has already cost me a lot. Any help would be appreciated.

A regular doctor isn't allowed to prescribe it for that. And the clinics also have to have you come in regularly. Eventually, you should be able to have some take-homes, but no, they can't write you a prescription for it. I have Medicare/Medicaid Spend-down of $250. I need to get on Methadone but cannot afford my spend-down. If I could get a prescription written, my supplemental pharmacy insurance would cover at least part of my cost, if not all. I cannot get a RX written through the methadone clinic in Akron, Ohio simply because that is not their protocol. I qualify for the Methadone Program so the only thing stopping me is the money and protocols. So I had moved from Wisconsin and moved to Washington state....not a nice state at all! I've had nothing but problems since I got here.... No doctor here wants to take care of me for my medical reasons that I was getting in Wisconsin. Narcotics in Washington I guess is on lock down for narcotics but dont take it out on those whom do need there pain meds. I took 25mg of liquid methadone, it's the first drug I took in 6 months. I have a urine test for my p.o. in 10 days. My question is should I be worried about it showing up in the ua? my friend said we should not mention at a aa meeting that he is on methodone, do aa people not approve or is he making up stuff? ## Hi Maniac! From my own personal experience, he's right! I have been judged and spoke about behing my back from being on methadone and suboxone. A lot of the people there at AA just want 2 hear about alcohol. That's it! Not all AA groups r like that, but, a lot r. ## P.S. I chose AA because there is more longevity with people staying clean than in NA. (Tried NA) people in NA told me that I wasn't clean because I was on methadone then suboxone. That's bull sh$$! Then after awhile in AA, I'm being judged because I don't drink alcohol. U can't win, sometimes.

I was in a car accident in 2006 while pregnant with my son flagging for a construction company I have been on and of of perks and other things and recently had my Dr transfer without making sure I had a dr to replace her now that I am dependant on perks (or oxys) I am tryin to get on the methadone program I have tried some of a "friends" only about 10 mg of her 70 mg bottle and I am a 5'7 200 lbs woman and I have not had any methadone in 10 days but I just got back from my sample and it tested positive again for the 2nd time for methadone how is this possible when everyone says about a week its been 10 days since I drank any last and im still testing positive?!?!?!?!?!?!? can anyone help me with ideas to flush my system for my next urine sample on Tuesday 4 days away PLEASE ...

30 mg methadone per 24 hours for pain. Pain is being treated with a new procedure. I have not taken anyethedone for 15 hours. What should I do? I have a thoracic Syrinx's and severely ppinched general nerve that makes my left thigh feel like a second degree burn, as well as various herniation and bulges. Am moving to northern California and want to find a Dr who will prescribe methadone. I have been prescribed it before and had great success. Was on 240mg oxytocin's and still agonized. Last six months i have tried subtext 24 mg per/day and cymbal's. Dr said it would "heal my pain". Well the hopelessness is gone but am in worst pain ever. I was on methadone for 5 years at about 100mg. Tapered all the way to 1mg & have been successfully clean for the last 5 weeks. The dropping down was worse than actually getting off, but i now suddenly feel like I am going through withdrawals..5 weeks later. Is this even possible or am I maybe just sick with something else? ## It is possible, it has happened to others with Methadone, that's why so many end up needing a lifetime maintenance dose and never totally get off of it.
