Hi! My doctor told me not to take cyclobenzapr 10 mg on a night before I went to work as it would make me tired. Then when I get the prescription it says take 3 times a day. I took it one night and was tired pretty much all day the next day after sleeping for about 12 hours (which is something I very rarely do)!! I'm not sure if this was the reason I was tired all day.. It could have been a combination of a cold, stress, back pain, and the meds.. I'm also taking meloxicam once a day which could make me tired also.. I guess I'm wandering if I can take it three times a day? I'm a little scared I'll be too tired to do anything!! I'm also wandering if there's more of a problem.. My dr says it's tight muscles due to spasms and there's nothing I can do exce...

I went see my primary doctor for low back pain and gave me meloxicam 15mg to take once a day with food. Will it be safe to take? ## Hello, Vic! How are you? If you have chronic gastritis, you shouldn't take any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, such as the Meloxicam. They can be very harsh on the stomach and can cause gastritis, or gastritis flare ups as side effects. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with? ## tyvm, i'll call my doctor to see if he can prescribe something that's not NSAID, tylenol alone doesn't seem to help very much.

How are you? You are right to be concerned, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, such as Meloxicam, is usually contraindicated with high blood pressure and cardiac conditions, because it can cause elevated blood pressure and fluid retention that can lead to congestive heart failure, as listed by the NIH. His doctor should be able to prescribed something else that would be safer for him to take. Is there anything else I can help with?

As soon as I started taking the Meloxicam, I noticed chest pains under my sternum. For 5 days I was taking meds to relieve the gas that was so unusual. I then thought about what was I doing different since the gas started, and It had to of been the Meloxicam. I referred back to the side effects, and the chest pains, shortness of breath, and rapid weight gain is what I had in common. I've gained 6lbs in 5 days. If you are diagnosed with migraine by your physician, he/she may give you a prescription for a medication that specifically treats migraines. Such medications help alleviate both the headache and related symptoms, including nausea. I suggest you see your family doctor first. ## Hello, Jan! How are you?
