Oblong shape, T imprint on one side. 153 on the other. Smaller then a 10mg loratab ## @curious, You never mentioned what color the pill was? So far I've only found one other description online suggesting that a 'yellow' oblong pill with 153 on one side and T on the other is identified as a 15mg generic Meloxicam tablet. This medication is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug used for treating symptoms of osteoarthritis / rheumatoid arthritis. There aren't any other specific details or attributes listed on its size, country of origin, manufacturer, etc... however it's still the closest relevant match that I've seen to date. Hope this helps!

can meloxicam be taken with celecoxib ? ## Hi John, According to umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there are no interactions listed between Celecoxib and Meloxicam. This is not to say that no interactions exist period, but based on these findings I don't see any reason why you couldn't take them together unless instructed otherwise by your prescribing doctor. Also, as long as it was the same doctor who prescribed both meds, I highly doubt he/she would give you anything that couldn't be taken at the same time or at least within the same day, for safety reasons. They have to watch their own back just as much for risk of litigation if they ever did prescribe two contradicting drugs. I hope this helps!

I've been on Mobic for three days now,how long will it take for me to see if it's working. I have severe back problems. ## Hello, Patty! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. The FDA classifies this as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so similar to Advil or Motrin, it should start to have some effect within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it, though it may take about 4 weeks, before it reaches its full level of efficacy in your body. My doctor has prescribed Meloxicam & Xljanz. Are they safe taken together? ## Hi pinnie, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, there are no drug interactions listed between Meloxicam and Xeljanz (tofacitinib citrate). Based off this information alone, I wouldn't have any reason to believe that you couldn't take the two together... especially since your doctor prescribed them both to you at the same time. I can't blame you though for being extra cautious, as there have been who knows how many instances where doctors mistakenly prescribe two drugs that interact with one another. Hope this helps!

I've been taking Meloxicam for about three days now, for wrist pain. I had an MRI and it showed two small cysts in my wrist. The pain is still there, and it's nearly unbearable since I work in production. Should I ask my Dr. For something else, or continue to take it and hope for the best? I've read about melocxicam and it seems to work for people with arthritis, but I have cysts. Did my Dr. Make the right call? ## Hello, Casey! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Do you know what type of cysts they are? Is this the only thing your doctor prescribe? Usually, an antibiotic and/or a steroid are used for cysts, to try to reduce their size and get them to go away. I just started taking meloxicam. My stomach has become extended quite a bit. In my research I have found that patients who have bipolar disorder (like me) have the problem of distended abdomen. The med is taking the edge off my fibro pain, and I want to keep taking it, however, I am uncomfortable and my pants are tight. Is there any treatment for this problem? If I drink more water, will these help? ## Hello, basil46! How are you? Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, so it can cause some excess stomach acid, that may contribute to bloating, but there is also a risk of stomach ulceration, so you should have this checked out by your doctor. How long I can take this without abuse it for anti inflamatory ## Abusing a medication occurs when you keep taking more and more of it to get high, or because you like the effects it has on you, it is not the same as long term use, if you are taking it as prescribed.
