Lo Loestrin Fe 2nd Pack And Late/missed Period

Im 17. I just finished the 2nd pack of Lo Loestrin Fe and my period still hasnt come. I take the pills regualarly every day and never missed one. I think i had some brown spotting, and that was it. I am sexually actuve, but i always use condoms as well as taking this pill. I'm starting to get really nervous that something went wrong and I could be pregnant. The first month of taking this pill, I took it on the first day of my period and continued as my gyno directed. Then, by the end of the first pack (after about 24 days or so) I got my period for the next month and that was regualr. Now, during my second pack of Lo Loestrin Fe, I'm still yet to get my period. I'm extremely nervous That I'm pregnant.

It can be normal to skip your menstrual cycle, or have it be irregular for the first 3 months of taking a hormonal based oral contraceptive.

However yes, if you are sexually active, regardless of the protection used, there is always a risk of getting pregnant, but it is very unlikely if you haven't missed any pills, plus used condoms.

My best guess would be that it's just due to your body getting used to the hormones in the medication, however, you should double check with your doctor to be sure.

The brown spotting might be all you get right now for a menstrual cycle, that is also highly possible.

I am in the EXACT SAME BOAT! i just finished my 2nd pack a week ago and my period was suppose to start on the 6th and it STILL hasnt come yet. I'm the kind of person that thinks im pregnant if im a day late on my period. but for my period to be late for this long as totally got me and my boyfriend worried. i'm glad im not the only one in this situation.

Just returned from my OBGYN. She said it is very normal to miss a period on Lo Loestrin. It is meant to make your period very light or non existent. She told me not to worry and to continue taking it regularly.

I have just finished the second pack of lo loestrin fe, I have tons of side effects the make me think of pregnancy because I am 21 days late of my period, my breasts are swollen and tender, I cramp a little from time to time, I have extremely vivid dreams, and slight depression. I am sexually active but on top of the pill we use a condom and he pulls out. I've read many stories where girls don't get their periods at all taking lo loestrin fe but it's still a tad nerve racking. Any help?

I also have just finished my second pack today. I was previously on the NuvaRing and switched to lo loestrin. The first month I had my period for about 2-3days. This month I took a pill very late in the day (I left it at home while I was at school all day). 2 days after I had spotting that lasted for one day. Today was my last placebo pill and have been cramping all day but no signs of my period. I am sexually active and it makes me nervous not having a period, although I have been reading how normal this is. Before I started lo loestrin my OBGYN did state that it was normal to skip a period on this pill. Just looking for some piece of mind thanks!!
