I Need Suboxone To Show Up On My Drug Screen (Page 10)

I have been taking blue Xanax for the past couple of days and my Suboxone Dr, who I am scheduled to see on Friday, does regular drug screens to make sure that only Suboxone is in my system. I've gotten one of my friend's urine to use on Friday. Only problem is, they don't take Suboxone! Can I sprinkle some crushed up Suboxone in their clean urine to show up that I'm clean besides Suboxone? If I just use the clean urine, he will know that it's a hoax because I've been testing clean but with Suboxone and there's no way I can go without taking it. But I can't just pee my own pee, because I was made to sign a form when I started treatment with him that states that an individual who tests dirty for Benzodiazepines SPECIFICALLY will be booted out of his clinic and cancelled as a patient. So, can't I just crush up a little Suboxone and put it in the clean urine or will that not work? Help!

How in the world do u get a dog to pee in a cup?tht sounds pretty impossible ..n cruel to b giving animals subs!

Does anyone know, especially the lab tech, how suboxone could show up on a 12 panel urine test as a positive result, when I have not taken this drug. I broke my ankle and take percocet and lortab and xanax for anxiety, but have not taken suboxone. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me how this could have shown up positive, or what could cause a false-positive result. Thank you.

Hi You guys make me cry...I'm going through all of this too. It is so stressful..My very understanding Dr. quit & I have a new Dr. that is saying if our levels arent' exactly the same every time then she'll think we aren't taking it then we don't need it and so she'll kick us out of the program. I can't live without suboxone. I'm sure I'd die. I have no family to take care of my son if I were to be sick.

I only take 3 2 mg tabs (just changed to strips) per day but I desperately need them in order to function & to take care of my special needs son. There are many things that could affect levels...One of which is if I'm in extra pain lately I take more than the 3 I"m allotted and then I'm short on the day of my appntmnt and my drug test...I've been clean except for the subs but I'm scared she's going to cancel my script because my levels vary...I would absolutely die...But other things can contribute to levels. Like grapefruit juice or tagamet or quercitin or if you swallow the dose too soon if the phone rings or you need to talk to someone...or if you accidentally eat too soon before taking the dose or too soon after...

We have to move because our landlord died and the new landlord wants to rent to their brother...So we're in the process of finding a place (I think we found one I hope) and moving (things to storage for now)...

I can't get dropped from the program. This would be a terrible time to be sick from no meds. We were supposed to be out by Jan 1st but the new landlord is hard to reach I already gave him first months rent though so here's hopin he didnt' rent to someone else...

I never understood how hard it is to be an addict. It's so nice to know I'm not alone...This is the most difficult time of my entire life. God Bless all of you...

my sub doctor lets me take my clonazepam. I have terrible anxiety attacks, so he lets me take it.

Hi everyone. Hopefully someone out there has some advice for me. I have been on subs since October 17th of '12 and I take it everyday HOW PRESCRIBED which is 1 and 1/2, total 12 mugs a day of the 8mg strips. I don't take at a set time or anything like that and sometimes don't take at all or at least the whole prescribed amount. Well long story short here; I take drug tests every month and sometimes twice a month for my sub doctor and have never had a problem with my results. I have also taken pre-employment screens and they are fine as well. All of these tests are urine. Well back in November I had an appt with a caseworker at JFS to review my sobriety and caseplan progress. I took a half strip before I went in and, if I remember correctly, that was all I had taken that day. Well she gave me a oral mouth swab test and had me stick it under my tongue to get an optimal amount of saliva on it. I made sure to inform her that I took suboxone orally and in the same place that I was putting this lovely cotton stick at. It was at least 30-40 mind since I took my half a strip. Now mind you I had to explain what suboxone even was to her but, she told me it didn't matter how or when I took it. She said it wouldn't affect mu results. I told her how many mgs a day I took as well. So just a few days ago she decided to let me know that this oral swab taken on November 19th just now failed for suboxone. She said it showed a HIGHER THEN THERAPEUTIC LEVEL. She also refused to give me a copy of it. I had to have my attorney file a motion of discovery to get a copy of it. Has anyone else ever experienced this or have LEGITIMATE information about how that's evn possible. Like I said I'm in this program for the right reason, I take my subs how prescribed and follow my doctors advice to the extreme. I'm serious about living a better life and being a better mother but I've always felt this woman has something against me....and that's not just me being paranoid, trust me. Anyway, ANY info would be great. I would love to.blow this hateful, volatile woman's theory out of the water and get her out of our lives for good.

HELLO? ANYONE? NEED HELP…I go to my Sub doctor in two weeks (1st week in Feb.) I have asked this question before, but no luck with anyone answering me. Anyway hopefully someone can answer my question by the time I go to my doc. So I am prescribed Subutex, and of course get drug tested as well as the separate test for Buprenorphine. I take Xanax, smoke pot, and I don’t want to get dropped from the program. My visit last month I got a friend to take a piece of Subutex the night before my test (and no dissolving Subs in urine makes you, or at least me show positive for opiates so that isn’t an option). He smokes pot, but at least Xanax isn’t in it. I have just enough Subs to last till my visit and can’t really spare any. I used his urine. Only pot, and Buprenorphine showed like planned. I froze his extra urine (this was about 4 weeks ago next week). My question is since I froze the urine almost 4 weeks ago will Buprenorphine still show in the frozen urine?

That isn't true, there is a test but it is an expensive seperate dipstick. Many ppl have been released from pain clinics because of suboxone showing up in their urine. It is better to not answer rather than mis-inform people.

as a RN working for a Suboxone and buprenorphine physician, I was alarmed about some of the ideas about urine durg screens. Suboxone or buprenorphine at a dose of more than 8mg daily will show up on a lab report as buprenorphine >160ng/ml and norbuprenorphine >320ng per ml. Norbuprenorphine will not come back positive unless drug has been through your digestive tract. Dissolving Suboxone or buprenorphine in anything will not show positive for the metabolite which is norbuprenorphine. Metabolite means the drug has been metabolized by your body. Urine cups do not show metabolites, only lab reports. People taking less than 8mg daily will have lower ng/ml show up in urine, but unless you just started taking your med in order to test positive for your doctor, metabolite will always be higher than actual drug level. We have never had a patient show positive for opiate on a confirmed lab report who is using only Suboxone or buprenorphine, not even when they sprinkled their tablets or dissolved their films. If you are cruel enough to use your pet to try and pass a drug test, please learn CPR for cats and dogs. The dose of buprenorphine for both cats and dogs is 10-20mcg per 2.2 pounds of body weight. There are 1000mcg in 1mg. The dose for animals is miniscule and buprenorphine can make your pet stop breathing. If you are taking benzo's or other drugs that are not prescribed, just be honest. Our program has never discharged anyone for being honest no matter what they used, but we can tell when people are trying to manipulate a urine drug screen. Labs can do amazing things these days. I writing this because I am a recovering addict, currently off buprenorphine and other opiates. Many times I tried to hide something on a drug screen by every method someone assured me would work. Urine cups could be fooled, but not the lab, and no matter which "fool proof" method I used, trying to hide things never worked. If you are serious about recovery, just be honest. No one at your doctor's office should condem you for acting like an addict. If you are not serious about recovery, why take Suboxone or buprenorphine? You may end up with an addiction worse than you ever imagined. Please don't give buprenorphine to animals, it might hurt them and won't fool a lab.

CANDY...if u aren't willing to work the program correctly and at least attempt a normal existence than let someone that does want to have your spot! I waited almost 6 months to get into a sub clinic because selfish uneducated people like yourself feel the need to continue the life of an addict and continue to be a blood sucker system leach! Time to grow up now playtime is over!

Why don't u guys just stop wasting everybody's time and money and let someone who gives a s#¡± about life have your spot in the clinic! If you're desperate enough to drug your animal for your sad, sadistic and very selfish reasons then not only do u have a seriously lethal drug addiction but you might want to get a psych evaluation instead of wasting other peoples time and money going to a program you have no intention of completing! :

Caro...It'll work for the instant dip stick test...but when they send if off to the lab itll come back clean, with nothing in it! is your friend a straight edge?? Ask him/her to take a sliver of a sub for you!!....Otherwise, just wait to see if they actually sent it to the lab when you come then next time!!! I have a doc that I just put some crumbs of my bup in mclean pee, and whatever they use at their office as a lab, makes my pee come out perfect!! But I know at most clinics, when they send it in, it wont work, cuz it motabolizes thru your body and shows up diff in a lab test!!!...I hope I made some sense and helped a lil.....Good Luck!!!

I agree totally with you. I tried numerous places over the course of a year and couldn't get in even though I was desperate to get clean. I was on waiting list after waiting list because people where in the sub program who didn't really want to get clean. I know a lot of people who only take their suboxone as a last resort when they don't have dope or sell their entire prescription to make money for dope. I got high October 17th of last year and took my first dose of suboxone the 18th . I've taken mine exactly as told and been clean ever since. I know plenty of people waiting and wishing they could get into a suboxone program but people just like this guy are ruining it for people who do wanna get their life together.

PLEASE ANSWER. I am in the program, take my Subs, and stay clean. The only thing I do is smoke pot. I am going to give a friend a Sub and use his urine for the test. Question is… If I freeze the left over urine with the metabolized Sub next time I test (4 weeks later) will the buprenorphine still show up, or will buprenorphine be un-detectable due to freezing, time frame of freezing, de-thawing, etc.? Nobody seems to know the answer.

I agree that judging an addict's behavior is pointless and rude and the farthest way to get a point across to the addict. That being said, I do have to agree with the ones who were discussing how there is limited number of patients a suboxone clinic can treat and because of this, more often than not, the clinics have a waiting list for new patients because they fill up fast. Therefore, those of you that are only going to a suboxone clinic for a way to have a back up plan to their drug of choice and only want suboxone when they can't get the fix they prefer, you are, in fact standing in the way of those who are seeking suboxone treatment for its actual intended purpose of managing or getting off of opiates. My opinion is that if you aren't using suboxone because you want help but just as a plan b for the days you can't get your preferred fix, then you need to get the hell out of the way of those who truly want and need the help that the suboxone program offers. =o)
