I Am Scared Of What Has Happen To Me From Taking Oxycodone 15mg 210 Count Seven Times A Day Please Help With Some Good Advice

I have been under a doctor’s care for the past five years. I’ve had ankle surgery, as well lower back surgery. Started off with Hydrocodone 10mg. Then another doctor, which I have to date, switch me to Oxycodone 90 count, 10mg three times a day. Then to Oxycodone 120 count, 15mg, four times a day. Then to Oxycodone 180 count, 15mg, six times a day. Then to Oxycodone 210 count, 15mg seven times a day. I don’t know if what I’m feeling, going thru is related from Oxycodone? I have lost my sex drive as of today. Doctor has given me Viagra 100mg back about two years ago to help me get my sex drive back. It help at first, now two years later, No sex drive at all. My wife thinks I’m not happy with her anymore, because of my sex drive. We fight a lot of times because of this. I have lost some of my teeth from the past year or so. I have no energy what so ever, unless I take another Oxycodone 15mg. I have anxiety every day. When the night falls I lay in bed scared out of my wits. I have alot of fear. Thinking something or someone is breaking into our house. Alot of times, I lay in bed feeling my chest getting very tight, breathing feels very hard to do. Pains shooting up and down my leg and arm. Advise the doctor of this, Doctor gives me Buproion, advising me it comes from anxiety. I have ask the doctors many times about testing my organs for anything that be caused from Oxycodone. Have pains in my lower stomach area and cheat area. Doctor advise me to get with my family doctor because of what I’m feeling as of pains in my chest, lower stomach. I’m to the point of I don’t care. I don’t care to go anywhere, About to lose my family. I feel deep down inside, that my body is in need of extra care and I could die from anything, all because of taking all the medication over the past five years. Please help, Did some, or all this could of came from taking Oxycodone 15mg over a long period of time?

What tests has your family doctor done to determine the cause of the other pain?

Yes, some of it may be due to anxiety, but there are also other reasons, which they should check for to see if there are other problems.

I was on Oxycodone and Morphine for about 6 years and one thing that I later ended up with was Gastritis. My stomach was injured in a car wreck, but they never checked for that and the medications helped it to continue getting worse. The pain from it can radiate, because it hits the nerves in your spine.

Have you tried any types of antacids to see if they help?

Try testoterone replacement therapy it works wonders.i felt same as u.have doc check levels get them at about 1000.3 weeks you will be a different person.i did it its wonderful,saved my life

If u can u need to get off them which is easier said than done but i did with the help of suboxone because you have been on them for so long your body is addicted i suffered with my problems on them from a doc same as you and ended up with bleeding ulcers and a spot on my kidneys. but couldn't just stop taking the percs then my doc went away to jail and i was left to withdraw and that hurt worse than the problems i had in the first place so i webt n bought them off the street but to make a long story short i finally found out that eather you ask your doc to ween you off or you quit cold turky and find a suboxone treatment facility or just a doc that prescribes it and they will get you off the percs and then slowly ween u off the suboxone and it works it also helps with pain And definitely keeps you from wanting any pain meds and keeps your body from withdrawing

I am sorry you are going through such a terrible time. In another thread on here, I explained my addiction to Oxycodone. I had to wean my way off of it because at 30 mgs. 3 times per day, it was controlling my life. I started going down on it 15 mgs. per week and on and on. I am now off it, threw the rest away and stopped going to the Pain Clinic. The pain sometimes is horrendous, but I deal with it by praying. I learned I am very strong. I beat cancer years ago, this can't control me. Good luck to you in whatever you need to do to get well. I was telling you about me. I was in no way telling you what to do. God be with you. If you don't believe, it doesn't mean I can't pray for you!

What you describe fits what I went through. I'm currently on 15mg 5x/day and at these dosages (my neurologist explained) your paranoia, loss of libido, inability to climax (I'm guessing as I suffer it prominently) and anxiety are all side effects of the oxycodone. Bupropion is the generic name for welbutrin, an antidepressant and won't help with these symptoms. My Dr actually put me on 6mgs of alprazolam daily along side the oxycodone preemptively but I still sleep with a pistol, jump out of bed with it anytime I hear a noise, and compulsively check locks (of which I have many now). I also am on the bupropion as an antidepressant because I'm mostly confined to my home due to my condition. If this sounds ANYTHING like what you experience and I'm fairly sure it sounds point on I'd take these steps:

Reduce your oxy intake to a maximum of 75mg daily and add the 10/325 hydrocodone up to three times daily as needed and instead of simply relying on the antidepressant alone add some xanax or another benzodiazapine like klonapin to take some of the edge off. Finally drop the Viagra because unfortunately some loss of libido is bound to happen with high dosage of any opioid pain killer plus unless you're suffering from erectile dysfunction it won't do anything as it only increases blood flow to your penis. Work with your partner on trying new things that perhaps y'all haven't yet tried, making sure that they know that it's not them but rather the meds causing these problems and also now that you know its the side effects pleasure them in any way that you can whether you're in the mood or not (remember buddy, y'all are in this together and if they feel you're into them anymore they'll find someone who is...and unfortunately someone will be). I've found that, more often than not, this will work to PUT you in the mood. If you don't climax and it's an issue for either of you try switching up to making love in the morning, or whenever the levels of medication in your system are at they're lowest. You'd be surprised at how big a difference this will make. I'm a guy in my early 30's who's had all the problems you've described down to the letter and my girlfriend was disappointed at the fact that she had difficulties "getting me off", saying that she felt like she wasn't holding her own in the bedroom and the above advice was given to me by my neurologist and it worked like a charm, so man to man I feel I should pay it forward. It's absolutely worth it to make these changes and, by doing so, they'll probably see that you're still into them without even unzipping your fly as actions speak louder than words ever could. I posted on this page before because I wanted to go off the Oxycodone. I just couldn't do it. The pain was unbearable. I did though cut down, and I take it only when the pain is so bad I can't tolerate it. I am sorry for all you are going through. I think at this point, with your fear and anxiety, I would make an appointment with a psychiatrist and have that doctor work with the doctor that is giving you all the pain medication. As far as your wife goes being upset about the loss of your sex drive, that is a common side effect for pain medication, and anti-depressants and anti-anxiety. The Viagra is just adding to the cocktail of medications you are taking. With all the medicine you are taking, I would guess it was from the that. The Viagra can cause heart problems, etc. It wouldn't be a bad idea to see a regular doctor also. I know it's expensive, but what I do is go on payment plans for $20 per month with each doctor. Usually, if you are faithfully paying something, they won't bother you. The best to you. Please let me know how you make out. I feel for you having problems similar to mine.

Candy, first congradulations, while I beleive inGod, when taking pain meds, the person, should ALways ask his or her doc 4 advice. I told my doc the fentanyl patch side effects were worse then the pain. I told him, I was going to just stop! He said the withdrwals could kill some people, he said, Lets cut it down and do it the right way. God, can help, but common sense is important too!!!!

Ive been on oxycodone 30mg 2 pills 3xday i also have anxiety and get the same nighttime feelings as you do I'm afraid someone's going to break in the house I stay up all night long I lie down and I can't breathe and I don't know if it has anything to do with the oxy codone I know I've got PTSD so that might be my issue you might want to go have yourself checked out for PTSD. Good luck and I hope you you and your doctor figure out what's wrong with you I know it can be very stressful just hang in there and go see your primary good luck.

Suboxone sucks and won’t save anyone from withdrawals. Suboxone is good for people that use opiates recreationally because it will block the euphoria if they break down and relapse while on it, but I would not recommend it for people who just want to come off their meds. I used it to prevent withdrawals after 4 years of every day oxycodone usage after a car accident. I weaned off the Subs over 6 months and had just as many withdrawals as I did years later when I had another accident and years of pain meds. My friends who took it for heroin detox tell me the methadone and suboxone withdrawals last a month, whereas pain pill withdrawals are usually over in a week. The third night is the worst. But please don’t take suboxone unless you’re an actual addict who can’t control themselves.
