I just took two ten mg methadone pills. Will they be out by Thursday? I drink a lot of water. Please let me know soon as possible.

2-4 days should be the amount of time dones will stay in your urine after a single use. Although this can vary that is usually the case for a single use. If you use it daily it will take up to a month to leave your body as it stres in the fat cells of your body.

Skyebaby...I just saw your question today, I haven't checked in for awhile. My husband went from 80mgs to 10mgs very gradually over a years time, then at 10mgs he would skip 2 or 3 days between each dose till he was dosing 10mgs every 4-5 days. He then completely stopped... Yes, he did get sick and moody, but it was nothing like the withdrawal he went through before. Full methadone withdrawal feels like you are dying, literally dying...depression, anxiety was the hardest for him to overcome. He had no choice but to go on everyday, he has a good job and 5 kids to take care of so he couldn't give in and up. There was good days and bad days, and a person really has to want it and fight for it. But it's been worth it cause now he is clean and feeling better then ever. Well I took my UA and to my suprise I passed . I had done 80mg on Thursday & Friday well 7 days later I jad to give a UA and by the Grace Of God I passed . I played with my recovery and for a week worried myself SICK But to my suprise I passed. So I dont know of it was the H20 & the 7days or God intervened., but I passed the test. So I will say to anyone that has plans on using DO NOT USE AT ALL.... ITS NOT WORTH IT. ESPECIALLY WHEN IN RECOVERY NOT TO MENTION U CAN MEET THE END OF YOUR ROAD. ... STAY CLEAN N SAFE. Well if u ONLY took a single dose of 40mg and u did not do anymore I would suggest drink plenty of h2o and pray. I had done 80 mg 2days bck 2 bck and on the 7th day i took a UA and passed. So yes I think u will be ok. Good Luck

The hydros will work...jyst dont take them at same time as methadone. Take them a couple hours before at least so u can feel them..methadone blocks it so if u take hydros after the doans try to wait at least 6 hours but a day is best

I take 10 mg to 20mg a day of Percocet a for my pain and not very often... I was given a 10mg methadone pill the next day. will this help with my back pain???

I got given methadone 16 years ago for pain management. Its one drug I would never take again. I lost 16years of my life to it. I was at 80 mill gram a day two ten mil gram four times a day. About two months ago I started weining myself off it. I'm now finally free of it. Sunday was my last time. Every three days I dropped down the dosage. Now I'm four days without. I'm not sick. I feel better then ever. This is not for every person. Most that have taken it as long as I did should never do this on their own as you could go into seizers. And it can kill you. Rehabs not for me so I chose to do this at home. The last two months have been the worst months of my life. Unless you want a life of pain stay away from this. Nothing is worth the use of this drug. The downfall is drastic. I hope this helps

well I take methadone 10 milligram tablets every day for 4a day I'm prescribed them for pain I don't know why when I ask you a question online I have to get questioned and people imply different things it's not right and its not fair for the people who aren't using them recreationally.

i completely agree.hence in my post,number 46 i stated that methadone is an opiate blocker so taking an opiate is pointless.stick to one and start stepping down if you want to quit obviously.ive been on methadone for almost 10 years,and its been a waste of almost 10 years of my life.goo dluck.btw these are just opinions so please understand these are comments of what I ME alone feel,thanks and hope it helps.

IF U have Hep C; or your liver is compromised in an adverse way, the damn Methadone can stay in your system longer.. Believe me, I was on Methadone for 19 yrs. It all depends on an Individual's metabolism..

I agree, i see so many young people come into my clinic who are allready on high doses of Schedule II & III Narcotics, while im a compassionate advocate for pain control, we as a society need to look and notice that the mortality rate worldwide in industrialized countries Canada, Aus, England etc, the US is the only one whos death rate is rising at an alarming rate. For example the places ive mentioned the long life span on Average has increased 2% almost yearly, the death rate of 19-49 has tripled on average since 2007, use of Opiotes is part, also folks are more unhappy due to the work force. 20-25 years ago most people could grad H.S. and get a good paying job w-healthcare, now even B.A and Higher have employment problems, people are in alot more mental pain which can increase pain in general, im in the profession and im not sure how we get out of our problem. We have addicted our youth, its the quick fix, i got into Medicine to help people, i honestly did but i found out its very little about helping, medicine in the USA is really about money. I wish they would in a way cap our wages, and close the incentive based pay we get from the Pharma Ind. I wanted to make a living but Drs dont need to be filthy rich, im not, i live very nicely but not with anything near some of the vulgar displays of wealth of some of us, keep safe, be smart, that was good advice to stay away from Methadone i.e, Good job sir!!

From what I've heard and seen (my mother went through withdrawal for months from methadone) anyone with any sense should stay away from it at all costs it is the worst drug to withdraw from. Hope this helps lots of luck.

How long did they taper him down? I'm on 80mgs eight now and I hear that the withdrawal is HORRIBLE, I want to successfully get off this without relapsing on something I shouldn't!!! I'm tired of being on this stuff I got to get off this! Your absolutely Rochford it is a demon drug and they should NEVER put anyone on it! Tell your husband: Congratulations getting off of methadone!! Everyone says it's very hard!

Great for the family! yes , u do want it to work is the only way. i was on 100mg yrs ago. i came off by cutting 5mg per week works very good to start to come of meth. It is hard unless u do it this way, and when it gets to be lower dosages, then u cut back 5mg every 2-3 wks. depends on how u are feeling. When at the end i stop and i use pot for depression and to be comfortable. U will have drug dreams for awhile. it has been 25 yrs and i still get drug dreams that r real at the time and DOES change my mood for the crave. scary at the time cause u r back in that mind set. u have to be tough on your self at the end of coming off but u or what will u do if pain comes into the issue. u tell any DR that u once was a drug addict, u have just condemn yourself to get drugs that wont work for u. u will be black balled. i never tell they that! i am proud of your guy and u for staying with him. u r his hero even if he might not say so but u saved him and your whole family. u need to have backing by u other. tough if they dont and call u names that hurt your feelings. it hurts more then they know. Great work guys. u r my hero's really God helps too! neever forget that. I thank God every night for another day. I live for me now since God let me do what iHe wanted from me. Family might not back me but so what, it hurts but u have to live your life to be happy. U both have done great. like to hear more happy stories instead of horro.
