Has Mallinckrodt Hydrocodone Changed Its Formula?
(Newest replies first)

Updated

Does anyone feel that mall. Hydro 10/325 has changed? It used to work...now it just makes me REALLY tired? and they seem smaller?Im alergic to Amneal anything, so I downgraded to this one from Oxy. There just an not any good generics out there any longer, unless you can find Endocet? Ive been approved for brand. But the co pay is 450.00? I cannot handle that a month. Does anyone have good results with mallenkrodt Hydro 10?

Yes there have been many overlooked complaints and stop passing it off as tolerance.
People deserve to know what changed and when

I agree with another comment to you, you seem to be a "mole" for these shady companies. Too many of your comments are just lame excuses, FOR these dangerous, sub-par generics.

Yes they make me tired. I get them from Frys in Flagstaff.

Not your imagination. Two years ago I was given an off brand 10/325 Norco generic from a small company in India. I looked them up and found that they, over a period of a year, were banned from selling in the U.S. because of problems with their pain meds. They put me to sleep every time I took one. I knew a pharmacist that exchanged them and only gave me the yellow Norcos after that. Recently, I have been switched to Tris and the same happened again. No pain relief and I fall asleep after every dose. As with so much now in this country, we are being cheated so that corporate profits continue to climb. Me: eight years on S.S. Disability, chronic pain from an accident, treated like a criminal by most all pharmacies in Florida.

Everything seems less effective since the reformulation!!! I used to take the Mallinckrodt Vicodin HP - 10/660. Norcos never worked for me. My mom took Lorcet, 10/650, and that was all she could take. We are both now taking the closest reformulated equivalent, a 10/300. As far as no know the only pharmaceutical co that makes it is Boca, out of Boca Raton, FL. It beats the norcos but I still end up having to take percocet and Tylenol throughout the day. You can thank jerkface Sen. Jay Rockefeller and his Illuminati family for spearheading the reformulation. Whenever one of the richest families in the world wants to introduce legislation to keep people in pain, you know what's it's really about - controlling the masses. It has zip to do with addiction, livers, blah blah blah.

*Now, this will sound conspiracy theory, but in another thread someone who allegedly used to work for a pharmaceutical co hinted that they were now mixing opiod blockers in the meds. That would be highly dangerous as that stuff is 100x more toxic to the liver than Tylenol, so I'm dubious, but I have suffered so much physical damage from vaccines and pharmaceuticals I put nothing past big pharma anymore. Just saying.

Anyhow check out the the 10/300, I think name brand now is Xodol, it's like they want to wipe the word vidicon out of public vocabulary. But it is the reformulated Vicodin HP (supposedly). Good luck!

PS - Interesting about amneal, what happens? That's what my percocet is, I've noticed it doesn't work as well but better than that roxicet crap. I may fill it elsewhere next time..

well,Dolly here! Ive been on pain killers since the 90's. Started with Lorcet. Then after 2 car accidents, they upgraded me to oxycodone. But because the generics have such adverse reactions, I downgraded to mallenkrodt. Hydros. They seem O.K.Listen, nothing is like brand. After all of these years, they still give a sense of peace. I have pretty bad osteo arthritis, so Im happy to hear that you feel that they are still O.K. Its like pulling teeth to get an insurance co. to give you brand at a fair price. Thanks for responding.

Hello, Dolly! How are you?

No, there haven't been many complains about theirs, at all. You may have just grown tolerant to it, though.

How long have you been taking it?

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
