Can you tell me about any doctors who can prescribe Vicodin
Angela, there is a slim to none chance that you will find any dr that will prescribe you that much pain meds again. Almost all drs are going by the FDA Guidelines for no more than 120 mg Morphine/Morphine Equivalent Daily. And they may be lowering that to no more than 90 mg daily in the near future.
SH, drs are very strict about their rules. If you broke a pain contract that will be in your medical records. Most drs want to get copies of your medical records from your precious dr. So they will no if you were non compliant and most won't accept you as a patient. Even if they don't get a copy of your medical records they will look you up in the states Prescription Monitoring Program database. When they see that you received meds from another dr they will ask why you no longer see that dr. Drs know if a patient isn't being honest about this.
Angela, I am in Tidewater Va, Portsmouth to be specific . I am having a real problem getting a Dr too. I have had 5. Since I was releasef by 2 for trivial things, hard to get a Dr. But, if you are near this area, there are a few good drs willing to give meds. My Dr of 5 yrs, Winke, gave me methadone . The others use that less or not at all. You could try Evms, med. School and Dr Kayota. These are my suggestions. Dr Winke first. Best wishes for pain relief.
Yes just mis-typed, I know there are no doctors that will dispense this medication without a script.
Desperately in need of Norco for chronic back pain. Anyone know if a doc in the houston area that is liberal with meds?
My doctor retired. I don't have insurance anymore and I'm in desperate need to get my pain medication. My doctor in Virginia wrote me 8, 10mg methadone a day plus 4, roxycodone 30mg a day.
I have MRIs and I need my spine fused and none spurs removed but I've had surgery on my back in 2002 and I won't go through surgery again plus I don't have insurance to have surgery.
sacler, do you mean that you can't find a pain managemtndr that accepts Medi-Cal in your area ? If that is what you mean, try going to your Medi-Cal Health Plans website and looking in their Providers List for Pain Managment Dr in other places close to where you live,
i live in the grand forks area. looking for the same. any luck
Need new Dr Fresno ca that will except med cal pain meds
Hello Don, It would be amazing if you would start a new thread with your question of finding a pain specialist near Cleveland, OH. Go to the bottom of this page and click "post your question or story". State your question simply like you did here or post the question and ad a bit of history if you want. Either way, this subject screams for an updated thread. I'll look for your question and reply to it so we can get a new thread going for the Cleveland/Northeast Oh area.
looking for doctor in North Dakota who is willing to give Rx for pain meds
Thank you so much. Luckily i called a pain clinic i use to go to 2 yrs ago and they said they'd take me back! My primary care doc just acts like she's skiddish. she does give me some but its not killing this pain....im not in this for no high and dont trade nor sell like so many i know and its made it hard for the ones who are really suffering! However it has made me reach for an extra one just trying to ease off the pain, but we all know there's nothing that gets rid of it totally.
Kenneth, you won't fiind a dr anywhere that will write a prescription for anything for a patient that they haven't seen before and there is no connection to. Only under certain circumstance would a dr maybe consider writting a prescription for a pain med without seeing the patient in the office. I can't imagine anyone that those circumstance might apply to posting this question on a internet forum.
I am looking for a good pain management doctor in central Kentucky willing to actually treat chronic pain with more than epidural steroid injections, which I have had for years and they don't help anymore.. I have osteoarthritis, everywhere, I am 48, had have hip replacement at 46..I have deg. Disc disease, 2 failed back surgeries, spinal stenosis, neuropathy, deg. Disc disease in cervical and lumbar, neck pain had cervical fusion years ago, fibromyalgia, that's just a few of my dx..I have a complete full thickness tear of rotator cuff that they don't know if can fix but I'm almost scared since I have had so many surgeries that cause more problems after.. I need someone to help me.
Don,
If you have 3 herniated discs where are they exactly? Is there nerve root impingement?
Did you tell the doctor who diagnosed the problem? Why is it he won't write you Percocet (correct spelling for your future drug searches).
I am looking for a doctor in Dallas who will write a prescription without an office visit.
Is this possible?
Carlton, there is no way that P450 or anyone on the internet can know what a dr will and won't do. You can ask your dr to increase your pain meds. If they won't you can ask them why.
How do I post a question..I am looking fir a pain doctor close to cleveland ohio..I have 3 herniated discs in my neck and I am looking for a doctor to prescribe me percoucet
Cindy,
You need to be specific. With the 120 mg. morphine equivalent no one is getting anything without being severe or rare.
That includes people who can die from Central Pain Syndrome which I have.
When you drop little cliches instead of getting real specific you sound like you're drug seeking.
Carlton,
I gave you appropriate advice. Is there some reason now that you won't approach your own physicians?
If you have sickle cell they will do as I stated.
angelgurl , you need to go to the website for your insurance company and look for their Providers List or call them and ask what Pain Management Dr take your insurance. New drs want a copy of your medical records from your previous pain drs. You also need to find out if you need a referral to see a pain dr.
