Still looking for a PM doctor in Hickory NC or surrounding areas...I had found one a few months back that I had went to about 5 or 6 years ago. He was the one that originally put me on methadone. So I went to see him the other month and get all this BS about he doesn't believe on methadone and wanted me to go into a 30 day detox to get off all my pain meds which are Methadone 10s and Roxycontin 5mg xs 6 a day, somas and valium 10s then when im off everything come back to see him and he will see how much pain im in now!!!! Yea WTF? ive had 4 fusions in my neck, SI fusion last Jan then this Feb had SI hard ware removal and they went into L5S1 to shave down the bone sours from that fusion 3 years ago... O and btw this PM doctor said I shouldnt be in this much pain after all my surgeries have fixed everything... yea right, seems the more surgeries I have the more pain im in.. I also have a ruptured disc at C4 5.......Please help I am at my wits end... O and to beat it all that pain Dr has federal charges against him for sexual misconduct w/ patients and staff..

After 5 operations and much pain (for the last 5 years) my primary care doctor managed my pain with 100 mcg fentenal patches and 30 mg morphine for breakthru pain. Suddenly, without warning, he refused to prescribe the meds, and the pain is OFF THE SCALE! After 2 months of this I finally found a doctor who prescribed me 15 mg mscontin (long acting) twice a day... it hasn't taken away the pain, but it has at least dropped the "edge" down to where I can get "some" sleep. I live in Kingston NY... does anyone know of a doctor or clinic in this area that could help?

Brad? what do you mean that doesn't take insurance? Did you mean a doctor that does take insurance?

I need to know if anyone knows of a pm dr in Va, close to Richmond, that will see patients without insurance? I have an appointment on the 6th with a pm dr but my insurance just ran out on the 30th and the pm doctor refuses to even allow me to pay for the visit up front. Any help would be wonderful.

Andrew Konen. His office is at Baylor downtown. I think it's called Pinnacle Pain management. My husband has 2 lumbar and 2 cervical fusions from a car wreck in 2000. Dr Konen and his staff really care. Any drs in his office are great. Just call them and they will mail you a packet. Bring all your medical records to your first office visit. 214-820-7246 is his office number.

Ok thanks a lot hun. Its so hard to find a good doc nowadays. I was hit by a car in 2010 and I have a bad back and neck and one of my knees is shot. I will most def call him ASAP and hopefully get in. Thanks again mommycat.. ill let u kno what happns

Yes,and its no longer a family practice.he now is a rieki doctor? Its wierd he does this therapy crap that i used to laugh at but i always leave feeling better now so its not as stupud as i first thought lol.there are so many dealers abd addicts out here i know its hard to get help.dr.gillis will not proscribe with out ligit problems but i get everything i need plus hes a pretty cool.doctor

Yeah im sorry its gillis lol.hes a great doc, but his hours are limited so go early and its cash only no insurance. I go personally for lymes and crones and from the meds i had to take for so long destroyed my joints.if your ligit hes good w scripts...gave me what i needed.i owe him my life cuz the quality i had before him was pretty bad.i cldnt get out of bed most days and w five kids not good at all.aaaand im an artist so i wasnt able to draw tattoo paint or create. Good luck let me know how it went :)

Im a Mommy of five and have crones and recently was diagnosed with lymes disease.i have had sevral.opperations and have alot of back spasms and severe cronic pain.i go to dr gillis.sorry i spelled.it wron.hes in merchantville and is amazing.he takes cash only and is limited hours but.if u.have ligit pain hes the one to go see.(sorry touch screen typos lol.)
