Your son died of a sudden cardiac event linked with this drug. Unfortunately you like so many others may not realize that Obama has taken control of pain patients and is paying physicians huge incentives to stop treatment, and FUNDING major pharmaceutical companies to SHORT inventory on long acting opioids INCREASING THE PRICES RAPIDLY.

The only OVERDOSES the CDC and FDA are speaking of are ILLEGAL overdoses and pain patients are DYING FROM LACK of opioids. Drug addicts, malcontents and ILLEGAL USE not legitimate pain patients.

Right now I am being jerked by the system and the physician along with it f100 did you know that and Dr. T. is retiring with his wife. He does NOT NEED referrals for your information.

Methadone WILL BE THE ONLY ALLOWABLE LONG ACTING medication due to the government running the system.

Frankly if you had any respect for your son's Methadone death then DO SOMETHING about it--have his death investigated to see if there is any cardiac history NO ALLOWANCE for Methadone. Further, if the physician prescribing it was inexperienced then he may have increased him too rapidly.

How DARE YOU EVEN think to speak to me in this manner, how dare you? I lost a daughter prematurely and as a mother there is no recourse but you SOB ARE NOT BEING BLAMED FOR THIS DEATH, how dare you ungrateful person.

I am sorry for the death of your son but not for your blaming BS and your inability to respect the feelings of others here. You are a MESS and I recommend psychological counseling for your loss.

I am going to the MEDIA if my Supreme Court order for my lifetime medical award is not continued with Dr. T. POST HASTE not for this it won't do any good with our government controlling us, it will earmark some of us for murder.

My story unfortunately will correct the government agencies in the state I was injured in for their illegal and fraudulent not to mention criminal (murder is criminal) activities.

You have to have had a specific genetic evaluation with one lab for metabolism. I am surprised that F100 has not had it.

I do not talk down to anyone. In my years since injury I have referred including written referrals to over 10,000 suicidal level IP patients world wide. Here since so unfairly accused by F100 is a link in lay people terms of the event that Methadone can cause.

When beginning Methadone it cannot BE INCREASED more than one time in 4 to 7 days without potential OD and death. Due to slow liver pass it accumulates. Anyone who does so on their OWN or pushes a doctor who does not know better is asking to DIE. This drug is also the worst outside of Duragesic (which will be the FIRST long acting to go off the market soon) for WITHDRAWAL.

Further you had no right WHATSOEVER telling the thousands who come here for VALID information that Methadone is not a good medication when the government due to millions of ADDICTS using it will NOT REMOVE IT AND IT WILL SAVE MANY LIVES in the process and their PAIN.

You should be ashamed of yourself entirely. Do not use your deceased son as the rational for leading people who are suddenly losing physicians, medications and can DIE away from a medication that will save them from DEATH rather then suddenly not having their opioids.

This behavior of yours is not acceptable. There are too many here who DEPEND on proper information and help. Dr. Hochman now deceased asked me why I did not charge and did all the referrals pro bono further I have testified in many cases for pain specialists as a professional witness saving them from losing their licenses. I do not spout all that I have done. I am here to give support and get it like others.

You on the other hand took your personal business and made an attack on MANY pain patients who will benefit from Methadone.

If they were the genetic testing a special lab would have been done. I was part of a study or research group. Since in all the years my physician has been working on IP he is the top at what he does (living now) and all of us are tested. I am ONE of only TWO of the MANY he has seen who is a true ultra rapid opioid metabolizer.

You may need LESS Methadone depending on your liver function tests. Let's refer it back to the physician. Next, you may not be able to receive Oxycontin and Duragesic due to the government STOPPING these drugs for all Americans. Withdrawal is about even on Duragesic and Methadone unless your family member who was on Methadone was also on Duragesic trust ME on this one. It will work for any of us it is for some of us NOT the most pleasant drug at all I am fighting SEDATION on this drug and hate SEDATION. I also started it with some very unusual dreams that were terrifying...

Yet all opioids will cause these effects. Many of us get used to one drug for so long that we think we prefer it. You may FIND this drug will hold your pain to such a good level that your life may turn around.

Have you gotten pain management? When you were in the hospital for these life threatening events that is the time to ask your treating physician for immediate referral. While in the hospital you can actually be seen by a pain specialist and start treatment. I hope this is the case for you.

I lost a daughter also during my years of intractable pain. I do not blame this on strangers. Further, the poster who was causing so much difficulty and hardship attacking so many here posted public information on my physician and this physician is RETIRING AGAIN--if he or she saw this doctor would certainly know this.

The cardiac event that I also linked a layman's link is rare, and Methadone should NEVER be increased more than one time in 7 days. If a patient takes it upon themselves to boot the drug because you may not FEEL until you are on it for several weeks it is killing the pain (due to slow liver pass) then death can occur. Further an inexperienced physician may increase it too soon listening to the patient's plea for better pain control. This is not good for the drug stays in the liver at all times and builds up. You truly must give it a chance.

I have noted several BT medications you all have taken to supplement Methadone either in the beginning of therapy or later and can be utilized. Methadone is NOT touching my severe neuropathic pain which is dangerous, for this at times causes numbness & temperature sensation awry which can lead to falls and further damage--this is truly suicide level pain.

I started out taking 4 Percodan per day…2 per day actually, but I was prescribed 4 per day. Then it was OxyContin, then Fentanyl after they stopped funding for the new tamper proof OxyNeo. On June 23rd 2016, my doctor cut me off 50 mcg Fentanyl patches COLD TURKEY because it had not shown up in my U/A in her office. I'm being punished for something I didn't do. Now I'm suffering withdrawals and she will not listen to me nor say anything at all. Hippocratic Oath? Naw, Hypocritic Oath more like it.

That happened with me with xanex one time. I was prescribed 3 footballs a day for anxiety. I had never been on it before. He kept prescribing it to me without seeing me. So, one time I ran out, didn't request it back because I didn't think I needed it anymore so I went thru major withdrawals for 3 days!!!! It's terrible. When I called the doctor to tell him what was going on, he said I wasn't a patient of his. Some of the worst 3 days I have ever had. Now, I am back on it but cut myself off every once in a while just to make sure it doesn't happen again. I think for those of us who need drugs like that have to pretty much determine how much we take and when. It's a bad way to learn about withdrawals tho when doctors do that to us!!!!! I've found a doctor now that helps me monitor it regularly so it doesn't happen again. Find you another doctor ASAP and ask for clonopin. It's a lower dose and not as addictive

P450- I had not read about gov. going after Duragesic & Oxycontin.... Specifically. Is this recent or been their plan for awhile? Asking because it took me so too long to find a new dr, then have him prescribe Oxycontin was such a surprise & blessing. He has not mentioned switching or indicating any problems with writing for the Oxy, I pray he has not been contacted by the gov criminals. I do so wish I could be evaluated for genetic info but ins does not cover that, therefore paying cash for these diagnostics is out of question. Thousands of dollars is out of my capabilities.

Now only long acting pain meds not tried has been methadone & Duragesic. Since I never have had probs with oral meds, patches are simply too much trouble along with unreliable dosage due to adherence difficulties. Plus the oxycontin just affects my body so dramatically different, it is ridiculous to not stick with it. God I pray the gov is unsuccessful in eliminating oxy for my body cannot bear the pain as it is, too long undertreated causing too much damage already. Much love & strength to you for your help in this desperate time.

Thats bull Tramadol doest do any thing have MS and Neuropathy and a tumor in my neck at base of the back of neck thats the first thing they put me on and all kinds of different drugs since then found three that work been on them for 9 years now taking me off all my drugs that work have been in so much pain dont know if i will last to much longer

First off, keep your politics to yourself. This is not the forum for it. And the vile hatred you spew is not relevant to the subject. Secondly, whatever meds you're taking, they have obviously turned whatever brain you had into mush. You say you're "educated" but your posts dictate otherwise. It's kind of sad actually.
