Are there any Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication in Ocala, Florida?
Need a Dr who will prescribe passion meds.
I can't take this anymore. Was song s doctor that was prescribing me 180 30mg oxycodone, 120 15mg.oxycodone, 75mc fentanyl for 13 years. Took myself off of them and it's been 6 wks and the poison is excruciating. I'm in Aliquippa, PA. Plz help. .one had a spinal fusion, need another lower back surgery and my left thigh cells like there's a flamer thrower inside my men but my skin is numb.
Ann, and anyone else that may be taking zanax. The Dr that treats my pain has told me many times that zanax enhances the effect of my pain meds and opiates and other kinds of pain meds in general but one must be careful not to over do it and take to many zanax at the same time that you take your pain med in could be harmful to your health. So be careful please.
Yes my dentist and oral surgeon were the ones who told me. I may have been unclear.. I was on 2 pain meds and the one long acting med causes more damage than most.. My dentist and oral surgeon wrote a letter to that effect for me to take to my pain management and ask them to change my long acting med, when they refused i ask them to just take me off it completely and was told they wouldn't change it not could i stop taking it if i wanted them to continue treating me. When i gave them the letter from my dentist and oral surgeon my pain management basically said the dentist and oral surgeon didn't know what they were talking about and they had never heard of such.. So either continue with their treatment or find a new pain doctor... Yes all pain meds are hard on the teeth but some worse than others.. I had been on the weaker med that i was taking for breakthrough pain, since 1996 just after injury and my teeth didn't deteriorate that much buy only 5-6 years on the stronger long acting pain med, my teeth went from a couple small cavities to needing 5 root canals or losing the teeth along with a mouth full of cavities... All pain meds are hard on teeth but some worse than others i would been without any teeth of i continued the long acting pain med... I was a nurse before disabled and i knew my dentist and oral surgeon were right. That pain management wouldn't change the med nor would they let me just go off it tapering 'til off completely, basically said i had to take them both no exceptions....
I'm so sorry you're going through all this! I've been really vigilant about my teeth and my dentist is amazing. The reason we are nore susceptible to cavities is dry mouth. Opiates cause dry mouth. If you drink extra water and use the biotene (I think that's what it's called) it helps prevent dry mouth thus helping us keep our teeth. I know you're already in a pickle but biotene could help with the teeth you still have! A lot of dentists give out samples that's how I started on it.
I am moving to the east coast South Carolina, Virginia area. I wanted to know is it hard to find a Dr that prescribes pain meds? I have many health problems including lupus sle and fibromyalgia and severe degenerative disk diseases. Before I move I want to know what I'm up against. Thank you, Brenda
Hello Everyone,
I am surprised we are not on top trending again.
The government is attempting not only to stop all opioids but the ones mentioned are not acceptable to prescribe.
A morphine equivalent suggestion occurred with the FDA and CDC publicizing OVERDOSE deaths from pain medications.
THE DEATHS WERE NOT LEGITIMATE PAIN PATIENTS they were abusers, addicts, thieves, people purchasing on the black market.
However, under Odumma your country has gone to a potential military state; voting for the worst female in history to represent us (educated women) will further this to a military state where no one has a life and millions more will die.
What has been done to people I have supported since my injury almost 20 years ago is NOT allowed in professional practice of pain patients. It can cause suicide.
Peace. (catching up on posts)...
Brenda,
Keep your pain specialist if you have one. I understand your pain BUT no one for those disorders is going to write long acting and short acting medication. It will take several years with a good leader in DC (Trump) to restore us to for profit medicine which is the only way WE have the cures, medications, and professional use that is needed.
If you move make arrangements to continue with your present physician. You will not find anything good and also we do not know what medications you are on?
Peace...
Skip,
Unfortunately you are wrong; dry mouth is an outcome of opioid use but the reason those with severe intractable pain are so affected also occurs due to hormonal reasons, a constant fight or flight response; hypercortisolemia. It will cause your bones and discs to deteriorate and throw kidney stones. This is not going to do anything. Your dentist owns stock in Biotene honey, it's not that simple...
Peace...
Hi Robin (hugs to you love!)
Any of the opioids (short acting or long acting) taken over time will create the same deterioration.
Dope fiends on illicit drugs have the same outcome and they are NOT IN PAIN until, of course, they become dope sick and then they suffer some pain.
We will talk soon if I can remember the link for this thread.
Peace to you...
Patti,
My dear I do understand wanting to go off the medications.
You are describing part of the pain which is referred to as neuropathic pain. The other pain which is often acute, is sharp, grinding, or more what I call "structural pain." You need to go back to the physician if he or she is willing to take you and tell them you will accept their services. You were just overwhelmed on the medications.
People with the new RECOMMENDATIONS it is the road to the government stopping all physicians from writing opioids. Unless we get Trump into office (he has nothing to lose has more money then any of us need and knows how to make it which America needs) you will end up as Hitler's concentration camps. This is what the donkeys are aiming for and Hillary and Odumma should have been tried for treason when our Ambassador was sodomized, tortured and murdered unmercifully when only asking for a military guard.
For shame America get it right or we all die.
I have written 90% of my information on these posts. They go back at least a year. This one in particular is my favorite so please heed my advice.
Blessings...
Hi F100,
F100 is absolutely correct. Also AD's (not just benzodiazepines) increase pain control by affecting receptors in the brain that produce endorphins and pain control.
In excess they will cause death. Over sedation at any time is reason to work with a physician to address this by another medication.
Thanks for that information F100 it's so important!
K and Ann,
America is not going to be a place (very soon) where pain control is expected.
What disorders do you have? What medications are you on? If you have a physician writing DO NOT LEAVE him or her.
Let us have more information.
Thanks!
In Pain, Posters,
NORCO is a brand that has created quite a bit of notoriety. It is 10 mg. hydrocodone and has Tylenol.
Does it matter? This is not relevant to controlling pain. A physician will know what Vicodin is trust me :)
cDub,
If you have a doctor's name look him up in the telephone book please.
Call the number; if it is connected and they answer then address the appointment phase of the visit.
Thanks!
