I've written my story. Awhile ago. I'm Karen & the pain from this lower back & sciatic nerve have about pushed me over the edge. It seems as if we who need help , medication wise. No more shots for me. Did that 2 yrs. ago & that was the worst. Plus the meds that don't work on pain made me so sick I thought I really was going crazy. Couldn't & still sometimes can't even do the simple things I've always been out. & about. But now I'm lucky 2 shower & get a few things done. This of courses causes a deeper depression. That amitriptaline was bad.plus the gabapenton then the lyrica & wow watch out if any one tries a drug called savilla ! When I wrote in last I had been up for days just tying 2 find some relief. I wrote before how hard all this was & then having 2 deal with the loss of both my parents last yr. I truly want to get back out & lead a real life . I'm not a druggie, I'm in pain. cant seem to find any help for medications I Iive in the columbus area. Reynoldsburg , pickerington area. I if any one can help I thank you.

There are no Board Regulations. It astounds me how many people THINK they know ANYTHING about anything. I can assure you, as a Registered Pharmacist for the past 23 years, and I currently work in a major hospital in columbus...there are NO NO NO new (or old) regulations when it comes to the prescribing of the STRENGTH and/or AMOUNT of opiates...it actually STATES standards applicable to the selection or administration of drugs in comparison to minimal standards of care of similar practitioners. Read the rules before you try to speak on them. It's not that difficult! Codes.ohio.gov Chapter 4731-11 Prescribing opiates.

As much as I understand you don't want to believe it, Korby did something horrible to me in March of 2013. I felt so dirty afterwards, and it happened so fast and so casually that I truly didn't see it coming. So before you judge and assume this female only wanted meds and didn't get any, from my experience that was not the case :( I am a law-abiding person that just simply needs pain relief from debilitating degenerative disc disease, RA, and facet joint disease. He was giving me ample meds, which I think he either thought meant he could do other things as well, or he was undergoing something that deeply fogged his ability to make soundmind decisions. I didn't ask for that to happen to me, and I feel sorry for this woman as I know how I felt. The fact that "she" is now being called a liar on this thread confirms that I did the right thing by not coming forward. I just wonder how many others are out there. I never filed any type of complaint because I thought it was an isolated incident. Not to mention, I feared never being able to get into another PM. I figured if my name was plastered all over the medical board's website for this type of complaint, that other PM's would be fearful to treat me. Here I am making excuses for him and for myself, but at the end of the day, it happened to me too and that's all I can say about that.... I did end up finding another PM, thank the Great Lord above, but it was no easy task and is still a struggle since they all seem to want to lower the only med that seems to give me any type of relief.

you sound like me. You have to complain to your state representative. Not does it do any good but the more complaints they get the more new laws will pass so it's easier for people who are in constant pain get the pain medication they need. The idea behind withdrawn or taken away pain medication from people who suffer chronic pain is that now hold on to your hat here the true addict this is a quote be true addicts will turn to street H like there's any other thing, will start using H and then freaking catch him and put him away. avoid Dr sable. who is known to give fudge drunk panels to make them show a patient is taking illegal drugs. This is to throw off DEA the monster has it been that happen in his office. I definitely understand when you say you're about to hurt someone. However I believe that is what the government wants. We have politicians practicing medicine without a license. The other thing people need to start doing it is petitions flooding your representative office with multiple petitions. The more you bother your state representative and government more there a app to ease up on their stupidity. if you have Medicare you will be hard pressed to find a pain management Dr /center to treat you. If you do fine a doctor in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio who prescribe pain meds accordingly that is for people who suffer truly from pain please post. It is extremely difficult for people on Medicare and people who do not have transportation to get to reputable pain management centers. What I mean by reputable is doctors who actually will treat your pain and not treat you like a felon.

First of all, if you go to the ohio medical board website, look up korby, you will see that in September 20, 2016, he "voluntarily" surrendered his license to practice medicine in the state of Ohio, IN LIEU OF ANSWERING TO THE CHARGES MADE AGAINST HIM. He did ADMIT to the over prescribing of 720 oxycodone tablets to a specific patient in one months time. In June 2016, he sold his condominium at (6266 Marias Point Lane, Columbus ohio, 43213 for $299k). PEOPLE--THIS IS ALL PUBLIC RECORD--JUST LOOK FOR YOURSELVES!! He now lives in Huntington Woods, Michigan, where he has an active license to practice, until 2018. I was lucky enough to get away from him in December 2015, WITH MY MEDICAL RECORDS. Most patients that TRUSTED this Liar cannot even get their medical records now. I STRONGLY URGE ALL FORMER PATIENTS THAT CAN'T GET THEIR RECORDS, OR HAD OTHER PROBLEMS THAT ARE LEGITIMATE, TO CONTACT THE MICHIGAN STATE BOARD OF MEDICINE AND LODGE YOUR COMPLAINTS. HE HAS LITERALLY ABANDONED HIS FORMER PATIENTS, LEAVING THEM WITHOUT ACCESS TO THEIR MEDICAL RECORDS, WHICH ARE NECESSARY IN ORDER TO FIND A NEW PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR. KORBY outsmarted the Ohio Medical Board, and here's how: In Dec 2015, he received a certified letter from the Medical Board. The letter outlined several complaints. First, he had been caught in several LIES in a previous interview with the board. Those lies were based on his having SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH 2 EMPLOYEES. The letter also stated that the Board KNEW HE LIED ABOUT PRESCRIBING OVER 700 Oxycodone tablets, all in a 30 day period, to ONE PATIENT. He was informed that at some time in the next 6-8 months, he would have to come before the board and answer these "charges". Korby got his attorney to start working quick...and quick it was! Sold the condo in June. Then in Sept, he surrendered his License to practice medicine in Ohio. By surrendering his license, the Board was unable to REVOKE it. I will explain--- If a State revokes your license to practice medicine in that state, then you are UNABLE TO EVER PRACTICE MEDICINE IN ANY STATE IN THE U.S. Korby "quit" before the Board could "fire" him, making him unable to be a doctor. He is a pathetic, narcissistic, delusional, sociopath. Often, as an example, he would ask me if I saw that girl in the waiting room with the huge breasts, only breasts wasn't the term he used.

The definition of libel is to write false statements about another. Keyword: FALSE! With a degree in HR and a background in Associate Relations, not to mention my own integrity and very very high moral compass, what I said isn't a lie! I'd never in a million years concoct such statements if they weren't true. In fact, I didn't even go into detail about what he did to me. Nor did I report his perverted a$$ for what he did! I'd be willing to take a lie detector 10 times over! The bottom line is this, he did something horrific to me, period! I was looking for some form of pain relief so I can lead a fairly normal, comfortable life and he took advantage of that. Abuse of power in the highest! My back is jacked up! Each annual MRI only reveals my condition is worsening. Dr. K was able to get me out of the physical pain only to traumatize me emotionally! I feel sorry for his wife! I wish others would come forward! He did this to at least one other person, so that makes at least two of us. He's lucky my husband didn't beat the **** out of his sorry a$$. He knows what he did. I know what he did, and that's that. Luckily, I found a reputable doctor with a brain between his head and I don't have to worry about being sexually assaulted! Until Dr. K, I never realized that was something I had to be grateful for.

Go see Dr Gordon Korby on 1021 Country Club Lane. His office # is 614-762-7314. You probably need a referral. But he is a pain doctor. He and his nurse practitioner, Eric Dardinger are very liberal with pain meds. I was a pt there for 4 years and was on 8 10mg methadone a day plus 6 oxycodone 15mg tabs for breakthrough. Unfortunately had a dirty U/A for Xanax and was discharged as a patient. They don't mess around with dirty U/A's, etc. Otherwise they are great and they don't push injections and that crap. Good luck.

Nicholas--by the way smart ass...I was contacted by the office and told my dirty U/A was a LAB MISTAKE. And am now a pt in good standing. So keep on passing judgement you ignorant piece of trash...that's why a "LEGIT" patient like yourself can't get any help. No one cares about someone that gets on sites like this to pass judgement on others. I****. My "druggie ass" is getting good pain treatment--is yours?? It's i*****s like you that deserve pain.

I HAVE CRPS SINCE 2010 AND HAD A MEDTRONIC STIMULATOR PUT IN IN 2013 WHICH TOOK ONLY ABOUT 40% OF THE PAIN AWAY AND I STILL HAD TO STAY ON PAIN MEDS. THE BATTERY BURNED OUT IN MAY 2014 AND WHEN I LOST WEIGHT DUE DUE BECOMING "CUT-OFF" FROM MY PAIN MANANAGEMENT DR THAT I WAS DRIVING 75 MILES EACH WAY TO SEE MY BATTERY STARTED COMING THRU MY SKIN. I THEN WENT TO THE CLEVELAND CLINIC PAIN MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT WHERE I WAS ORIGINALLY DIAGNOSED WITH CRPS AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE GIVEN NO PAIN MEDS EVER AND OBVIOUSLY HAD TO HAVE THE MEDTRONICS UNIT REMOVED. THE ONLY CHOICEI WAS GIVEN WAS TO HAVE THE MEDTRONICS UNIT REMOVED AND A DRG IMPLANT UNIT PUT IN. HAVING NO OTHER CHOICE I WENT THRU THE PRE-TRIAL FOR 1 WEEK AND HAD NO CRPS PAIN AT ALL SO OF COURSE I GAVE THE OK TO PROCEED WITH THE PERMANENT IMPLANT AS SOON AS MY INSURANCE WOULD APPROVE IT. THE DRG IMPLANT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL IN ME! I GET JOLTING SHOCKS AT RANDOM PLACES IN MY BACK AND LEGS, IT HAS MADE MY RESTLESS LEGS 100% WORSE, PLUS THE CRPS PAIN IS WORSE ALSO. I HAVEN'T SLEPT MORE THAN 2 HOURS A NIGHT SINCE OCTOBER 11TH, 2016 WHEN I HAD THE UNIT PUT IN. SEVERAL VISITS WITH MY DR AND THE REP FROM ST JUDE MEDICAL WAS TOTALLY WORTHLESS. MY DR DOESN'T BELIEVE ANYTHING I SAY ABOUT THE SIDE EFFECTS I'M GETTING FROM THE DRG UNIT. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GET A MEDTRONICS STIMULATOR OR LET ANYONE ANYWHERE TALK YOU INTO A DRG UNIT UNLESS YOU WANT TO SUFFER MORE THAN YOU ARE ALREADY.

Dr. Korby did not retire he was under investigation for misconduct and turned his Ohio medical license to open a practice in Michigan before they permanently revoked his medical license preventing him from practicing in any state. U can see the notification on the state of Ohio medical board findings website.

Try Midwest Spine and Pain Management in Gahanna. Don't take it personal if Dr. Henry doesn't give you any attention when he speaks to you, that's how he is

Get a medtronic pain pump implant as soon as possible. They work great for people who have pain that can't be treated with traditional methods.

I'm a 47 year old male with history of bladder cancer and triple bypass. Had heart surgery with metal titanium in my chest cavity and chronic pain. I'm having problems finding a doctor in Cincinnati Ohio who will prescribe pain medication without putting me in the class of a drug addict. Last doctor tried giving me depression meds, I mean really wtf. Then politicians wonder why there is such epidemic of opiate abuse. It's sad that a person who really needs pain meds cannot get them. If anyone knows of a doctor in Cincinnati Ohio please help... My email is {edited for privacy}

I feel for you. I've been on Savella and it was horrible! Made me deeply depressed, which is a side effect! Go figure! I was put on Lyrica which made my whole body burn with pain. Cymbalta didn't do anything. Then some brilliant person prescribed Effexor, which is impossible to get off because you get painful brain zaps, have a loss of balance, etc...
Anyway Dr Gregory Figg in Westerville treats pain and uses medication as well as other things because he's an anesthesiologist.

Re: Herman (# 66) Expand Referenced Message

I saw Korby in 2002 after being hit by a car. He immediately put me on OxyContin 80 mg, four times a day. I have literally no memory of the next six months. Finally, my wife and I went to see him about lowering the dosage. He became verbally abusive to both of us and finally told us to "get the f*** out of his office". We got up and I went to pick up my chart and he attacked me. He had me up against the wall with his hands around my throat. I finally got him off me and demanded they call the police. I had an opportunity to pursue this legally but my life was already upside down due to this injury. I did file a complaint with Workers Compensation. This man is a quack. My wife and I actually went out to celebrate when we heard thru my current Dr. that he surrendered his license. He is a disgrace to the medical profession. I see all these people on here who praise him and I can't believe it. I suspect that's because he was willing to prescribe narcotics like candy. Judging by other posts, this man, in addition to being a quack, is a sexual predator and deserves to be behind bars.

Hi James,

I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in locating pain management doctors within your general area.

All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results:
{link removed because site no longer exists}

You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another:
wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist

Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most usually are.

I hope this info helps and wish you good luck on finding the right doctor!

It's my understanding that Doc Korby is having another physician take over the practice. Eric will be staying on as Nursery Practitioner. No word on who the new Physician is. Have faith. This will transition to a new doc that is hopefully as good as Korby.
