Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 46)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Yes wendy im in kaiser with dr ryan but my pcp dr can only give me my meds nt dr ryan and dr ryan cant change my meds either only my pcp dr but it ok I can deal with that thanks for askin..how u been

I'm great my doctor is awesome .I really like her and the clinic .I'm like you I'm on limited income and on medicade.I can't pay doctors to give me my Rx.There should be more places for legit people to go because it's us who suffer.

Thank you for laying it down. Talk about a red flag. "Hey I have terrible back pain as well, do you know where I can get any roxys?" Woooowwww. No diagnosis, just asking for drugs. This isn't find a dealer forum.

OMG I know your message is old but did u ever find a doctor in Colorado that would help I know exactly what u r talking about. I'm dying colorado sucks, I looked from the springs to Denver even have the MJ Card nothing helps.

Mac or any1 my dr wants 2 put me on morphine...I like wat I been on wks wel but im nt sure cuz I here so many diff facts but is morphine stronger then oxycodone or nt? It took 4 ever to get my pain under control from dr ryan I ask my new dr if I have 2 switch..he said I shld try morphine but im scared of morphine.

Hay I'm looking for a doctor i have realy bad Tendonitis and arthritis.Herniated discs.I'm looking for a doctor that prescribes morphine oxycodone.I have been on oxycodone for two and a half years and I moved from one state to Colorado.And I'm looking for a new doctor.I also have 3 herniated disc.If you could please give me a doctors name or a site something that is legit I've been to many doctors and none of them can fill my request {edited for privacy}

No morphine is not as stronger but cheaper and a lot of doctors are putting medicade patients on it to keep cost down .Example remember doctor Fine he took me off OxyContin 40 er and put me on morphine 30 er that was the worst three months ever .His only reason OxyContin is expensive .Alot of kaiser doesn't believe in giving out OxyContin .

Im not doing well on this morphine I been doin benadryl im itchin headach n throwin up since I started this medication and each day it gets worse I tried tellin tha dr before he put me on it im takin no Motrin now then I was with my oxycodone

At one time I was on 12 - 30mg morphine sulfate ir, 10 - 30mg oxycodone (ir as opposed to oxycontin), 4 - 5mg methadone daily and a bunch of other stuff, only pain doc stuff / opiates here...

The morphine was so much stronger for me. Turns out after a genetic test of me spitting in a cup for an hour I do not process oxy due to my G something receptors. Plus I has gastric bypass 10 years ago so long acting anything is useless. Point is, we are all so different and 2nd opinions or questions should be standard. I can't tell you what a 2nd op on my autoimmune disease did for me. It's really about quality of life to me. I bring someone into my appt with me AND ask for assurances that if a new drug doesn't work within X number of days I can come back in ASAP to sort out the next move, even if it's going back to the old meds until I'm not playing catch up with my pain.

Most of the time the doctor / patient relationship isn't a favor. It's a professional relationship and they aren't doing you a solid. Once I got that out of my head things went way better for me. I sincerely hope that things get better for us all.

Rainbow I take 1 Prilosec a day plus I eat with some pills as I have no real stomach. Zofran 4mg, they have dissolving, pills, and suppositories from the doc. If your doc won't write for them, nauzine from the store, lemon & honey, chamomile tea (lemon honey vanilla chamomile with real lemon & honey is amazing), ginger pills / tea / fresh / sushi style, hot lemon water, baking soda all help a lot. I don't do Alka seltzer because the aspirin in them back fires.

Have to agree Mac! I provided names and such of legit doc's and yet the same questions are asked! Seems to b a scary pattern happening that never happened before!

The reason morphine making you sick it's taking the pain away but not giving you the high most people look for .It will work for you but it's mind over matter .The nausea will go away the headaches are from the OxyCondone withdrawal .Not only am I a pain patient I was Rn .

Hey wendy thanks but im stil usin oxycodone for breakthru pain I shldnt of said that my dr took me off it but cld it be cuz im usin both?? I been on oxycodone(percocet) over a yr now without any issuses so im wonderin why im havin a issuse with tha morphine

Oh perks and morphine yeah hun.Its way stronger than 325 perk mistake. I thought u were on oxycotin..There is a good nausea med that medicade.I allows it's called tigan.300 mg.try that

I totally understand the frustration. I have been seeing Dimension Pain Mgt. He was giving me Perc 10 and oxy's. Now he wont give me anything. I am on the lookout for another dr.

CPR is not shady, many health care providers now are not taking health insurance upfront, but, you can send in med receipt from CPR after your appt for reimbursement.
