Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 241)
UpdatedI have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!
JESSEY,
How long has it been since you had your meds? Is there any chance CPR will have a doctor this week? Nothing against CPR or Amanda or the boys but I do recommend that you CPR patients find a new doctor ASAP. Even if CPR gets a doctor in soon I believe this problem will happen again. I was with them for a year and during that time we saw about six or seven different doctors because they kept leaving. One of their docs was actually hired through craigslist. This is a crazy crazy world we live in and I wouldn't wish chronic pain or medication dependency on my worst enemy. My prayers are with you. God speed.
Speaking of a sad world, Wendy how are you feeling? What are your plans in terms of assimilating the information on that doctor that takes Medicaid? Are you still planning on charging everyone $100 and only taking the first 10 patients? Please let us know and I hope you're feeling better! Godspeed.
Hurting in Colorado
Thanks for sharing your information on the doctor that you saw. One of the goals of this form is to save people time and money by sharing your own unfortunate experiences. And I understand your panic attacks To THC I have the same issue but I find that if I use the edibles they help my pain and my nausea and I'm able to sleep. The other night I had a lollipop that I just left in my mouth four hours and it really helps me feel better. About the doctor that you saw where exactly was the problem? Did he think you were seeking? Did he have no other alternatives? From the little info I know I would agree with you that you are suffering from fibromyalgia. My sister had it really bad and couldn't tolerate Narcotics and She had told me that sleep was her only safe place. She ended up taking her own life at the age of 54 because she did not tolerate the pain any longer and because you cannot see fibromyalgia on an x-ray or CT scan doctors are still reticent to diagnose you with it. I looked up the top 10 symptoms and I believe I had nine of the 10 but luckily mine is so far very manageable especially compared to the other pain issues I have. I take Lyrica along with me pain meds and I'm still not sure if it helps or not. It also can make me dizzy and I can start slurring my words that I am not aware of that my family and friends tell me while it is happening. My boyfriend says it is crazy talk time. LOL So never the less I only change it when I'm going to be home doing some work again my prayers are with you God speed
Hi everyone… A couple years ago someone posted on this thread that they did some work from home and they invited us to contact them if we were interested in finding out about these opportunities. I didn't respond at the time but I am very interested in doing that now. If anyone has any information on working from home jobs that pay fairly decent would you please share it with us? It would be greatly appreciated! God speed.
Lucy, thank you for the kind words. Dex quoted me $500 and then quoted my man $600. So he keeps going up in price.
As far as lyrica goes ladies, be very careful with that drug. My boyfriend took it and it made him literally crazy and mean. He doesn't remember a majority of the time he was on it. It was awful. And he would fall asleep standing up. Avoid it if you can, but again everybody reacts differently so I can't preach.
Wendy- love I hope you start feeling better. It sounds like you have had a hell of a week. I hope She things get straightened out (pun intended) sooner than later and you can start to heal.
Thank u all I'm hanging in there. Jessy, {edited for privacy} is my last name I can get u in to him in two days. Stop paying pill mills, this man is great. I see him tomorrow.
Hi Wendy, hope you're feeling better. And I'm interested in meeting. Thank you again.
Tt's a far travel to my current doc and he doesn't want any new ppl. I want someone near me where both my husband and I can go to the same provider.
IM SORRY WENDY BUT I COULD'VE SWORE THAT YOU SAID THAT YOU ALSO PAID 100 FOR THE INFORMATION? I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE SELLING OF INFORMATION. DR SHAWN AND HER PA WERE AMAZING AND IF SHE COULD BE OF HELP TO ANYONE THAT IS GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING THAT I'M GOING THROUGH, I WOULD GLADLY 'GIVE' HER CONTACT INFO FOR FREE AND ALSO SHARE MY APPOINTMENT EXPERIENCE IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE. I WOULD BE TOO WORRIED AND AFRAID THAT ONE OF THE REFERRALS WOULD MENTION THE FEE TO THE DR? BUT THAT'S JUST ME. ...I GET NERVOUS EASILY....LOL
Wendy-------Sorry I was in Evergreen working today and didn't have any internet. What is the fee for the actual Dr appointment?? Thank you for taking the time out to respond.
They take insurance: Medicaid, united, and a few others. Two dollar copay. He's well aware of what I'm doing. And he's fine with it. So if u want a great doctor and save 300/500 visit, meet me at CPR. Plz give me a day/time. Friday's they close early and so does CPR.
Can anyone meet there tomorrow? You need CPR to send last two treatment notes, etc.
Kristy I paid five hundred for it. But that's me. It was verified with my doctor. I spoke with them, made two appointments for my husband and I. Found out it was my old doctor of 11 years, I'd give her anything. That doctor helped me when no one else would. Dr Glazers great. But why pay when u get pain management from him and he don't take cash.
Lucy, I too take lyrica, I've tried to stop but the leg pain is unbearable. I'm in the process of finding out if it's making me gain weight or if it's uterine fibroids. My Dr has told me I slur my speech at times. He doesn't know about lyrica, I've tried to explain it to him. I'm trying to go down in dosage, I'm stuck on 75 mg 2x day. It does at times make me dizzy, then I go lye down and it makes me sleep, but I can't imagine the leg pain, it feels like razor blades up and down. Sorry for my long post, just wanted you to know my side effects and you're not alone.
Hang in there Jessy, you're going to make it. You will turn the corner. I've been there just a few weeks ago and it was hard. Had to lock myself in the bathroom way from everyone because even the smell of anything cooking would turn my stomach. For a few days I was just laid out on the floor. But after a week there was improvement in sleep. I was finally able to sleep after 4 days of what felt like the flu. I'm still in a lot of pain but I've rejoined life again. So hang in there and yes you can. Let us know how you're doing and try to keep fluids up and eat if you can.
Last exit, the great folk on Lincoln do test first visit, I think randomly after that but you are allowed to have THC, just be honest, he will work with you, unless it's like street drugs
Hey Wendy, thanks for always replying back to my post quickly. I am very interested in going to your guy. I'm a former CPR patient so meeting there will be perfect. How quickly could I get in to see the Dr?
Phoenix do u need to meet up with me so u can get seen this week?
I posted a reply regarding lyrica to Lucy, I made a big typo, I said my DR I meant my dad noticed my slurred speech etc, and he doesn't understand my pain much less that I may have weight gain from the lyrica
CeCei6 I apologise for assuming you were asking this group for something illegal and asking for something that some have been left out to withdrawal n pain. I felt offended at the time, but we all make typos.
On page 9 of this thread you were replying to a post asking what Dr do you have or recommend because my Dr never fills my prescriptions on time or nothing.
I hope this is not the Dr. That you recommended costs 95$?
