Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 218)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

I empathize with your issue. I was prescribed many medications that were not doing much for my pain. I found a new Dr and tried to tackle my pain management with massage, injections, stretching and other methods. I cut back on my medication and I feel much better. You are taking high doses and it seems that they are not effective. When I was on high doses I could barely make it through work. I could barely function when I got home. I had no life and I knew that more meds was not the answer. Please find a Dr you trust and look for a better way to treat your pain.

I really need a Dr in Aurora Colorado that can prescribed what works for me and has for the last 4 years I want to continue to have some what of a quality life!.

I inadvertently broke my contract w Co. Pain & now I'm blacklisted throughout the entire state. I must find a Dr. who will continue my pain mgmt. I use 40 mg. hydrocodone / day. I am lost.....

My drug panel came back pos. for coke. They issued me Lyrica, knowing I'm bipolar, said no warning of side effects (suicidal). I had a severe psychological meltdown, a pal stopped by, to help pull me out of a death wish. His compassion thru much conversation & love saved me. They didn't take any responsibility, fired me, tainted my record for life through their office visit notes..I am hosed....

Rainbow the test are monitored thru drug agency .Once your redflag it's almost impossible to get narcotics here .Depends how fast u get a new doc before their records get recorded .

I have to offer up a 2nd opinion on medical marijuana oil. It is illegal to make some concentrates without a closed loop system. However, you can make your own canna-butter or canna-oil using butter or coconut oil. I make by own almost every 3-4 weeks using a magic butter machine (which I highly reccomend!!! And look through my previous posts for a $25 discount code). This machine even allows you to make your own tinctures (which I haven't tried yet, but I will probably try soon). Please don't scare people away from making their own simple and safe to make canna-butter or canna-oil. I have also made canna-butter and canna oil using the crock pot method but the machine is SO much easier and faster.

And yes I've read all the posts. But it is confusing as to wether some Dr's you all talked about in 2014 are still available and are understanding Dr's for pain dependent people.
In addition, I can't afford the majority of Dr's talked about here. I need a dr that takes insurance. Thanks

Who is your PCP? I am in need of a primary care dr that someone trusts. It's so hard to pull a name off a list. Since I don't have any friends there is no one to ask about PCP's or pain management Dr's.

I looked extensively for a pain dr that would take ins, I did not find any, dr costs are includable as an expense to lower income if you want to apply for medicare,medicaid, food stamps etc so I figured what I was paying for dr would help in other ways, plus the $$$ is well spent if it gives me quality of life, think of it as one starbuck a day, $5 is well worth or see if u can stretch it to 60 days, yes $150 is a lot but I jnow I easily waste that much money a month between little things, ill trade the little things to be pain free.
