Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 177)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

I think a Sat evening works best. What do you think? Other evenings, people work or their significant other does, and you know the significant other gets to go (body guards LOL). May be in a couple weeks, before bad weather, and before the holiday season starts gearing up? What's your thoughts?

How have you been? Was doing the "stable" thing since I got over the DVT (blood clot) last summer, then everything went crazy again LOL. Seems to work that way. Had breast surgery Aug 5th, and that part went fine, except after the fact, the hospital gave me an infection (didn't charge extra, they let me have it for free). End of Aug got another huge huge DVT only it's the left leg now, with the right leg one coming back OMG!! Just stupid stuff like that. I get frustrated when I seem to get stable then whammy!!
Did you get "stable" too? Nothing crazy happening?

Jersey, hope you continue to do well.

For all here I made a comment in regards to Medicaid coverage why would anyone find it offensive if a nurse (?) can obtain Medicaid in Colorado that's wonderful but since we have several other discussions on whether or not dental is covered I commented when I scrolled down and saw Janey's post. Regardless of territorialism I do not think this post has it.

I'm also thinking perhaps I should stick with people posting who are on pain management. Clearly on the medications utilized to keep me alive drinking is out of the question. If any of my medications were abused on the level where I was drinking and taking opioids I'd hope any legitimate physician would so remove.

Have fun ladies the clan reaction does not work it's a public forum try reading some other posts and not encouraging ETOH in pain patients.

I'm so sorry to hear that Susie. Hope your better now .I've been awful honestly ,husband had a contract with office max to remodel the head boss didn't pay him its been three months .We lost everything - truck, his tools, etc .Electric was turned off .I can't pay for CPR I'm without my meds right now.Someone suggest ed telling our story on Go Fund me trying to get help that way .I'm a horrible writer. If I can find someone to write it for me .My blood pressure is 150/160 I think because I'm hurting .I can meet anytime I miss you girls.

And WENDY too? The old gang is back and it feels GREAT!! YES! I have been to hell and back this past few months. I typically work but haven't been able to due to surgeries. Procedures and such. It's taken a year and a half for approval for this stuff, most of the time infected and on antibiotics. I was supposed to b at the Cleveland Clinic to b a guinea pig for prolonged qt and have my pacer replaced. It was a no go because of infection and the teeth had to b first. But that trip, I was planning on seeing my sister in law who had stem cell procedures for cancet. She was doing well and suddenly became septic. BOOM! She's gone and seriously she was the healthiest she had been in years. All of this really hit me hard. We were doing fine and allowed local legal folks to use us to take a loan on our car, which the type of loan I'd illegal here in CO. To shorten, we never got loan papers, any type of payment, I walked out to take garbage out and my brand new car was taken. This company has been illegally repossessing cars this way, which is why we tried to help. Over three cars were repossessed in less than 24 hours and same story as ours. We've been working daily with da but had to get a new (used) car, still had to pay loan off, repossession fees and they stole tons out of the car. The car is in locked storage as they have all the security devices to access the car anytime. It broke us. A small payday loan and we r thousands out of the pocket, thousands I can't afford and now r repaying. So YES!! Life has been really hard. I haven't had any pain relief since surgery, my mouth pounds, I'm trying to apply for jobs bUT I still have my pacer to b replaced and get some teeth. Doc says I'll b months before actual teeth can b replaced as they broke the bone during my arrest and with all the infections it's eroded the bone also. So I'm he'll on wheels. I'm so stressed, I'm having a hard time getting through this. I'd love to meet with u guys but right now I need to talk to u two privately. Can u send request? My computer had to b hawked to pay for some of my surgery. I need a hand. Wendy, Rainbow, Colo Susie and all, it gives me strength and a smile just to hear from u.

That's horrible. I tell people about these sorts of horror stories and how people are taken advantage of, people say "that can't happen, it's illegal", no kidding!! of course it isn't legal but these scam artist manage to pull it anyway. Did the DA say there's any hope of recovery at this point?

It's so great that lots of the old crowd is back. I get so confused about how to go about getting assistance for anything, so I did ask Sarah (who is going through a time right now) if she gets a few minutes to log on and see what your situation is Wendy, so perhaps she has some suggestions to help you.
I wish I had millions of dollars so I could help everyone. But what's bad, most of us are sick, which effects are ability to work, which leaves us broke, so even though we all want so badly to help each other, most of the time we are having problems helping ourselves.
A few years ago I couldn't afford to pay for my medication. It was all that my Willie could do to keep a roof over us, cause we had been used to two incomes. I went to Social Services, and it was a nightmare for me. I didn't understand what programs are available, where to turn for help, what I qualified for and how to go about applying for what I may have qualified for. The Case Worker that was assigned to me seemed to be overworked and may be also a little under trained, cause it turned out, I did qualify for a minimal amount that she wasn't aware of.

Ladies if you gather funding for her they will have to report it to her for tax reasons. Understandably since we all run across such situations in life it will affect her ability to obtain Medicaid and public assistance especially in her current condition. Go does do legal taxable contributions so consider this because if anyone is on Medicaid the loss of such funding could be catastrophic.

What type of funding do we need to look towards? There r many groups that privately fund research and treatment. Additionally government funding is a possibility. I have some folks I can contact to c what's available and would love to help. Count me in.
Yes! Susie, there is a group in Fl. Who give "payday" loans on your car. A friend of ours sells cars and it's his clients that had three repo's in a day, that's how we got involved. We hope to recoup something and if it ends up helping other folks, so b it. They were ready is take them to court after finding out where the money was going but a new DA was named and the process started again. It cracks me up that the people who can I'll afford to help in this scenario end up doing so but I guess if u r rich u really have no idea these things go on.
I found a group in Parker that takes Medicaid and am currently on waiting list. I offered to self pay until insurance is accepted or I'm back to work with different insurance and they r to call me back today. I'll let u guys know what I find out.

Mountain I finally got the permission form so you should have my email. I want all of you to know something, I'm a very proud woman. And for me to reach out to you ladies for help is hurting my pride. We sold everything of value before I even came to you guys. My husband feels worthless as a man watching our lives crumble. May 21st, 2015 on Craigslist I saw an ad offering help from a corporation of business guys wanting to give back to the community. My daughter and two year old granddaughter just moved in and Tom job he had was going on three weeks no check. The company EFS offered rent, food, electric and one time help of 50,000 called life changer program. We were so excited. Spencer the program director had families meet the following week in Aurora at the library. We were told to bring proof of identity social security card dl, and proof of income. I signed up he notarized everything. It all seem legit. There was 12 families in all. We were told we would get 800 for rental help for July. And we would be also able to get the 50,000 life changer money at a later time. I went home explained to landlord his money coming. Spencer would tell us the money coming on a certain date than make excuses why its not there. I kept all emails. The last email from him was the money will be here September 1st. Here its October and nothing. Mean while Tom worked 109 hours at this company and he never got one check. We are still fighting to get paid. We lost our truck all my husband work tools my dad's priceless necklace so we could live. If I can't pay the landlord 1000 this month we're out. Tom can work but needs tools and a vehicle. I hope this helps a little our electric turned off for now and I'm without my meds CPR 180 per month.
