60 Mg Oxy Op

i have been on 60mg oxy oc for 5 yrs. they were very good for my pain, this new op i feel is a waste of my money @ 90 a month, is anyone getting any help from this op?? i am on 60mg ms contin now w/ no help...4 breakthrought is vicodin 2 3x a day10/325, 10mg valium 3x day. everyone has been stop taking the op and the pharmacys will begin to see how much they will loose, in one years time thay will loose 20400.00 a yrms contin is cheap maybe 150.00 a month compare to 1721.32a month millions will be lost in profits each month...pudran will relize in time...GOOD-LUCK TO EVERYONE !!!

Hurting the pharmacies is not going to help this situation. The manufacturer, Purdue is who made the decision to change the product to try to help prevent abuse. The pharmacies were given no choice in the matter and they have no influence on what Purdue does.

The only ones that can have any effect on that is the people who are buying and using the medications.

agreed! while I cannot compare to the 'old' OC pills, i can compare with Opana, which I am going to ask to return to at next apt. I have seen posts however, that ‘they’ are now making similar changes to Opana. Last month my PM Dr had to put me on Oxycontin 60 mg 2 times as the pharmacist i use was out of the Opana 20 (3 times a day/90 tabs) a month. I went through nasty withdrawal symptoms for several days. In addition, the Opana completely stopped all pain, even in hips where I had bone taken out, only drawback was it made me lethargic and unmotivated. The Oxycontin, after a few days, did NOT stop all the pain in my back and did NOTHING for pain in my hips, especially at night- however, for about 3 hours after taking my dose i did feel like doing a long forgotten project such as knitting or going through packed plastic tubs that i have needed to go through for 6 months. I also take 30 mg Oxycodone 3 times a day for breakthrough but it seems as though those are doing a better job than the OPs are doing... what else is there? The patch? More surgery? New legs? Hoping once I get on Tri-care through military I can just get sent through the mail so I do not have to join the rat maze in locating a place to fill my meds-
