10/325 Quailiest Verses Watson Verses White Or Yellow (brand Name Norco) (Page 3) (Top voted first)

Updated

Hello Hydrocodone world:

My experience is this. You can not beat Name Brand scored NORCO 10/325. However, my experience is Watson is a softer compound, & works faster. Now, the other generic NORCO 10/325 (36 01) scored other side. This is made by QUAILITEST: many people say they suck, because in fact, it is a harder compound to digest/desolve, therefore not getting a good feeling, but the slight slower release makes Quailiest (NORCO) actually kill the pain more so than Watson (GENERIC) 10/325. The watson have the edge, however the Qualitiest last longer & are so dang close, only a Dog may know the difference. Personally me, & all the 4 companies that make generic NORCO can stick it. Your/My Dr. is going to request the yellow dye, I do get allergic reactions minor, but enough to b**** about. So I will be getting a lot of paper work, and I will end up getting Yellow NORCO, as long as the Dr. request patient has allergic reactions, not to the dye, but rather various fillers, as well. And me & My g/f have Identical insurance plans for meds. And the G/f got the real deal NORCOS. My Dr respects me & I respect my Dr. And dr.'s know the difference between spinal issues & hop heads or some of us have both. LOL (JOKE).

Now the HOT tip - NORCO Now makes two Brand name NORCO 10/325 , some will be yellow & or white. Watson makes NORCO ( BRAND NAME) wich are yellow. Also Watson now makes the 1/325 NORCO it is white.

Bottom line (brand name 10/325) you will start to see in white & yellow, as we are now seeing, allergic reactions to the yellow color dye. Also 10/325 NORCO are usually yellow, again they are moving to white tablets, and are currently selling both colored (WATSON GENERIC) norcos. Same goes for Brand name NORCOS, Yellow & white.

They are taking the yellow dye out both Name brand & watson brand NORCOS. You may see yellow & or white in your Watson 10/325 also Brand name 10/325

Ask your Dr for a over ride due to alergic reactions, most insurances will cover , if the findings of the request are found to be true. But now they are making the same company, same drug, Brand name & generic & in both white & or yellow (watch out for (CVS pharmacies) they carry s*** loads of s***, that is totally the s*** of all s*** & works like s***. Request brand name to your Dr & ask nicely & all the above will not apply. Watson's are etched in most peoples mind, however the Quailitest & watson are just how fast or slow the absorbtion rate/time to get into the blood stream. If you really want this Norco in your blood stream like instantly? LOL Check in to a 28 day drug rehabb & ask this? what is the fastest way to get any drug into my blood stream? Than youll be safe for 28 days, if they let you out. (JOKE).

Right On! Its completely true, this is craziness
And I'm sick of spending the money and paying for crap, and dealing with this every couple of months. Things are so regulated now so why are these companies getting away with this!

My dad was released from the hospital yesterday after a 3 week ordeal after a bowel obstruction, surgery to cut and resection his small bowel. His wound did not close properly creating a fistula that ripped open his staples. His wound is hideous and the most painful thing I've witnessed someone to endure. Upon discharge Kaiser of California denied him pain meds. The doctor argued with me. Said Tylenol would be sufficient. Wtf???? This is his 3rd bowel osbatruction. The 2 procedures he went thru were not as bad as this one and they gave him Percocet or Norco without question. (2010 and 2014). These doctors are governed by cruel agencies. I was and am still shocked.

Nancy please keep us posted this what I'm dealing with now, been without meds for two weeks and suffering, pharmacist can only get the Activists 7.5/325 hydrocodone, I don't want to risk another month like this last month when they gave me crap I couldn't take and just threw away it was that worthless, meanwhile I'm waiting for my pain specialist to write vicodin or no substitute only, I can't believe that this drug has gotten so expensive Out of pocket use to run maybe $40.00 I truley commend you for standing up I simply don't have the energy or the know how, things have got to change.

DO NOT ACCEPT THE MALLINCKRODT Brand, it is INFERIOR and NOT EFFECTIVE. I notice a huge difference between Mallinckrodt and Waston, Watson being a superior brand.

Going to have my Dr do a "DAW", I cannot believe there is a 20% delta, always on the downside i'm sure, allowed with generic meds, especially with Norco 10/325, where it would be closer to 7.5/325, this is not acceptable.

I seem to be in the minority here lol but I came on these pages to find out why the hydros are all of the sudden "whacking me out". This month I was given the yellow 7.5"s compared to the white 7.5 last month and these are kicking my butt. Are they making my pain better? No. Are they flying me higher than a kite? Yes. I'd rather have the white as I'm looking for pain relief and not a feel good drug.

Yup the white ones are crap! It's not just the dye is out.

I have posted this before, not sure which site, but thought it may help some of you understand what is going on. Prior to my own 4 car wrecks and terrible fall off of ladder resulting in my own disability, I was a Cert. Pharmacy Tech. For years, also licensed EMT and a licensed Medical Assistant at various other times. We are ALL BEING SUBJECTED TO UNFAIR PROFILING!!!! When I was a ph.Tec., I had patients specifically requesting certain manufacturers of medicines (this was 18 years ago b4 the hysteria of today) saying some did not work well on them. The Pharmacist and the Doctors at their direction, all agreed this demonstrated "drug seeking behavior".
The irony of this was the medications I specifically remember this arising from were NOT NARCOTIC!! But she definitely wanted a costlier company's product , she was on Medicaid, so therefore, slander her and stop the controversy. THIS IS FAR WORSE TODAY!! The binders they are adding to your medication are preventing them from helping you and yet they still treat all of us like criminals. HEY DRUG COMPANIES AND PHARMACISTS:
WE ARE ONLY COMPLAINING BECAUSE WE ARE BEING NEGATIVELY AFFECTED!! HOW CAN YOU SAY THERE IS NO REASON AND LIE TO US WHEN YOU KNOW THERE ARE ADDITIVE BINDERS IN THESE MEDICATIONS!!
YOU LIE TO ALL OF US AND EXPECT COMPLETE CONTROL OF OUR HEALTH IN YOUR HANDS!!
OUR BEST INTERESTS ARE NOT IN YOUR SIGHTS, ITS YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS AND COMPLYING WITH THE GOVERMENT RESTRICTIONS THAT YOU HELPED GET STARTED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

I wonder if the FDA allows medicines that are very serious to one's Health like heart medicine to have a 20% variance also. If so that might put somebody in the hospital or even kill them. Or is it they just don't care about the pain meds because they think most people out there on them are just a bunch of drug addicts?

Yes " screwed by big pharma" they do allow it to fluctuate between 20% that is why once you start on a a certain mental health it thyroid med you are supposed to stay on the brand name because it is such a delicate science. Pain med on the other hand ... No one cares. But all really do know and understand the fluctuations from actually batch to batch.

So I have been taking Hydros for quite some time now. My 7.5/325's weren't working, so my doctor pushed the level up to 10/325's Norco. With my insurance, they normally have to give me the "generic" version and that's usually okay. However, whatever they gave me is total CRAP!!! I know they are white and oblong shaped with a "divider" on the back. (I can't remember what the imprint on them are and I don't have them in front of me right now.) These pills make me feel tense and nauseas. Almost a sort of weak feeling! I HATE them!! They don't work enough to go through all these side effects!!! I think the generic brand should be tossed out! Save the yellow dye!! I'd rather take that then feel the feeling these stupid generics give me!!! TOTAL CRAP!!!

Re: David (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Does anyone know how or to whom we poor (real) pain sufferers can go for some concrete results. I am at witts end. The white pills just do not work! And no one seem to care. All say the drugs are the same just dye changed. Well apparely they are not using them. I have been using the SAME yellow pills in the same dosage for over 20 years for the same back issue. So i know when it is Not working.

I did as one of many side effects. I took them for 2 years no problems then all of a sudden the side effects started. Had to change to name brand. It just stinks that they are jacking with the Medes and making us, who need meds legitimately, sick.

DMOVEUP-

Sorry to hear about the ongoing pain. I had to have my entire left shoulder replaced, so I know about shoulder pain. I now have a steel rod connected to a steel ball in the socket for rotation. I also had to have my left knee replaced. I take 4 Norco every day for pain. The 10/325 YELLOW-In other words, your pharmacy is telling you a big lie. The yellow is still being made and sold, but you now have to find them, as the white ones are cheaper for the pharmacies. They make more pushing the useless white Norco, so that's what they all went to. The standard line, which is complete bs, is that the white and yellow are the same. They are not. They say they only took the yellow dye out to keep some people with food color problems from getting sick. What crap. How many people get sick from food color? A small pill with a very small amount of yellow dye is not enough to hurt anyone. Hell, we get food color in all our foods!

The real reason is, the drug maker thought they could get away with removing the codeine from the pills and nobody would know. lol-good luck on that one. What your left with is Tylenol! So, if you have a refill left, don't take it to the same pharmacy to be filled. Call around, to all your local pharmacies, starting with the smaller, mom and pop type stores first, and ask if they carry the yellow Norco. If they don't, then just call another until you find one that does. The big chains, like Walgreens and Walmart all switched to the white ones, to save money. So, start small and keep calling. I get nothing but yellow Norco every month, but right now, there's only two pharmacies in my town, that still have them. And, when this all happened, they got flooded with new customers! Which they love! But, be warned, when you find the pharmacy that has them, call in your refill about 3 days early. The reason being that the pharmacies that still have the yellow ones are flooded with customers, and they are not able to always have enough as the Feds only allow them to stock so many at a time.

This is all part of the new government crackdown on pill abuse. They just upgraded Norco into the same class of drugs as morphine! Very stupid thing to do. It's now a schedule 2 narcotic, it used to be schedule 3. Now all Hydrocodone products like Norco and Vicodin are considered to be as dangerous as morphine! What a joke! Because of the new schedule 2 drug category, Norco and all other hydrocodone meds have to br refilled with a new hand carried rx from the doctor. In other words, your refill can't be phoned into the pharmacy anymore. No schedule 2 drugs can. You will need to go pick up a new rx from your doctor about 3 days before it's time to refill. Call them first. But, first, call around to find the pharmacy that has the yellow Norco. Your doctor will need to know who your getting them from. Now, there is an exception to the no-call rule. If your doctor is on the list of E-Verified doctors and if the pharmacy has that program set up, then the pill refill can be transmitted electronically. My doctor does this for me. I'm on the automatic refill list, so I just go in every month to get them at the pharmacy. Ask your docor if they do that or if you need to come get a paper rx to walk into the pharmacy. Hope this helps-good luck, and let your docotr know the white Norco do nothing! The company making them should be sued to pieces and shut down! Accept no more white Norco!!

Nobody is wanting the white Norco-their junk. Good luck, don't give up, they're out there, just call around, small store first.

Qualities makes the yellow. The white are SH*# alright. I get the yellow at Walmart. Call around and ask. Don't let them treat you like you are nuts and they are all the same because it's a lie.

If you have a legal rx and Walgreens won't fill it, go somewhere that will. You have the right to buy the meds anywhere you want. The yellow Norco is no longer available at Walgreens, I tried. Or Walmart or any other big name chain pharmacies. But, they are available at some smaller stores. If they are withholding your meds, then they're wrong, and you should be talking to a supervisor or a lawyer. Let your doctor know about it.
