All prescription drugs that are legally sold in the US are required to have individual imprints to enable their ID, according to manufacturer, active ingredient and dosage. With no markings, I would think it is possibly something over the counter, unless it is a drug from a foreign country.

what are the manufacuer marking ## Clonidine is a generic medication, which means that it is manufactured by several different companies, it is also available in several different dosages, so the markings will vary accordingly. Once a pill is available for generic manufacturer, it is made by many different companies and each pill will look different. The color is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. Are the Clonidine U-135 pill the same as the Clonidine R-127?? I got them from two different doctors and I wasn't sure if they were the same. They have a different taste. The u-135 are white ovals and are tasteless and the round orange R-127 have a horrible taste. ## Yes, they have just been manufactured by different companies, in this case Unichem Pharmaceuticals and Actavis respectively. The taste can just vary, depending on the inactive ingredients they choose to use in them.
