These are round, 9 mm in diameter, pinkish-orange in color, unscored, with Z 3626 embossed on one side. Is this correct? ## Doxycycline is an antibiotic that is used to treat, or prevent bacterial infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. I'm having side effects and am wondering how long they will last. I have a skin rash and it's really burning, especially my fingers and toes. ## get to emergency room immediately ## I have been on DORYX for acne treatment for about a month now. About two weeks ago I got sunburned on my feet, but it seems like only on my toes, the burn didn't go away. It's more of a rashy look. It is also on the inner sides of my hands. It tingles when the rash is in cold water and itches when the sun gets on it and gets redder. I'm wondering if this will stop and exactly what caused this...I'm considering NOT taking this medicine anymore. This sucks!! ## YOU are having the same reaction that I had. Doxycycline has caused me permant damage and now I cant' even go in the sun. I...

Isn't this taken for getting rid of acne and what shouldn't be eaten if you're on this? ## Hello, Liz! How are you? Yes, the FDA classifies Doxycycline as an antibiotic and the low dose is something used to treat bacterial acne. You shouldn't ingest any dairy products within one hour before or two hours after taking it, because they may affect the absorption of it. The typical side effects for this antibiotic may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Can 100 mg doxiciline cure staph or need a in the armpit. It started out very painful and looking like a pea sized pimple so I tried to pop it, and nothing came out.....what a mistake a half hour to an hour later it was the size of a larg...

The FDA classifies this medication as an antibiotic and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

I've been taking doxycycline for a little more than a week for an STI. Although it seems that my symptoms from the STI are clearing up I am wondering if I am experiencing adverse reactions from the drug. I seem to have a red rash around my scrotal area. The skin seems red and slightly sensitive but not unbearable. Is this caused by the medication? ## Hello, Ken! How are you? As listed by the FDA, antibiotics can cause non-allergic skin rashes as side effects, or it may have caused a yeast infection. If it isn't itchy and there are no hives involved, it's likely not an allergic reaction, but you should have your doctor look at it, to be sure. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

My husband gave me Amrayl together with Doxyclin. He said he was given this by his doctor who advised him to share the medication with me. I do not trust he knows what he's talking about, please help ## Whoa.....no doctor will ever tell you to share medication with anyone, thats for sure not the truth. I'm not sure what those meds are for but you should call the doctor yourself but it could get your husband into a lot of trouble because as I said no doctor will ever tell you to share your medication, it could easily get his licence revoked. I think you should really look into why your husband would want you to take this medication so badly that he would lie to you about what a doctor says. What is this medication for? I wish you luck and hope all turns out for the best...but ple...

Does nitrofur macr 100 mg help to reduce acne? I know it is a medication to help urinary infection. ## Hello, Jess! How are you? It may help some, but it's generally not the preferred antibiotic to treat severe acne. The antibiotic of choice is Doxycycline. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Did your doctor prescribe it for you? Or are you just looking for an acne solution? ## Yes, I'm looking for a better solution to treat acne. Thanks! ## You've very welcome! I'd suggest asking your doctor about trying Doxycycline for it. My nephew had severe acne and taking a low dose of it daily, for several months, is what finally cleared it up of him. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## It sounds like a g...

What does this pill look like ## What does Doxyxyclin HYC tab 100mg look like...should it be a salmon color with a MP 37 on it ## no it should be an oblong blue ## Well first off, let me put an end to the argument by stating that once a drug is available for generic production, it can look like whatever the company making it wants it too look like. Yes, Kelly could have had an oblong blue, but that is not the only 100mg Doxycycline available. In the pharmaceutical industry, there are no guidelines as to color or how a pill has to look, it just doesn't matter. So just because it may have the same active ingredients, it does not have to look the same, you may go into one pharmacy and receive a large orange pill and at a different pharmacy across town get an oblong blue one. The only r...

Its half of a pill and all I see is E2 and its shaped like a football and mustered colored ## My mom found it in the bag of one of my nephews and wants to know what it is ## Hi, Sam! How are you? If the E2 is the start of the imprint and there is no space between them, then it looks like it could be a 100mg Doxycycline tablet. I can't be sure, without knowing the full imprint, but that's the only one I found that matches as I've described. It is an antibiotic that's used to treat various types of infections and it can cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Learn more Doxycycline details here. Can you please post back and let me know if there is or isn't a space between the E and the 2? Thanks!

Does this medication make you light sensative, will I have a higher chance of sunburn while taking this? ## Photosensitivity is common in antibiotic classes like quinolones (Ciprofloxacin), tetracyclines (Doxycycline), and sulfa drugs (Sulfamethoxazole). These drugs you would have to avoid sun exposure. I personally have not read about photosensitivity with Pota-Vi-Kin (Penicillin) use. Most antibiotics have a label on them saying that "this could cause sun sensitivity". I would be on the look out for a label like that for future references; but as far as Penicillin goes, you should be fine. Hope this helps!

The price of this medicine just tripled at my Pharmacy. I am looking for a better price for a long term supply. I need Doxy-cycle hycl 100mg capsules. ## There have actually been several posts about there being a sudden price increase in this medication, I'm not sure what's up with it. However, this website doesn't manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any medications, it is an information only website. You can learn more Doxycycline details here. Have you talked to you doctor? They may be able to prescribe a cheaper alternative.

Good Morning! We filled my son's scrip for Doryx and low and behold it is now a rectangle! Has anyone else had this issue - just want to confirm it is a change by the manufacturer. I have looked online and seen both, but the actual documentation says rectangle. ## What are the markings on it? That is what would enable use to check for you and make sure it is the correct medication. The shape doesn't actually mean anything. There are many generic Doxycycline tablets on the market, far too many for me to browse through all of them looking for a specific shape.

On this blue capsule it has the numbers 2985 both side's, IT HAS NO "X" ON IT!! Every time I iuse Google to look up the pill, I find it with no problem BUT the pills that I find have "X's" on them. Are the ones with the "X's" on themm the same thing?? ## Hello, TJ! How are you? What many people refer to as an x is actually meant to be a z that is stylized to look like the pharmaceutical symbol of a mortar and pestle, is that what is on yours? It is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 100mgs of Doxycycline. The FDA classifies this medication as an antibiotic and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

pink pill ## Based on the description provided, I found your pill marked Z 3626 to be Doxycycline hyclate (100 mg). The color however looks to be more of a light tan color.
