About more information about these medications and what their are for, ## From what you've listed, both are the same medication, Oxycodone, just in different doses. There have been a number of patients on here complaining that tramadol doesn't do anything for them and even go so far as wondering why it's even classified as a pain killer. I don't know if that's an overstatement since everyone reacts differently to it, but if you have a prescription for oxycodone, it should be a much more potent alternative. what is the difference of the letter m and letter a ## If you are referring to pill logos, then that would mean they are being made different manufacturers. When a medication is released for generic production, several companies usually pick it up and start making it. All tablets have to have unique markings on them, to enable their identification. M is a logo commonly used by Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals and the A has been used by Abbott. Do you have any other questions? ## i know that "30s" come in light blue with markings of A, M, V. I noticed the bright blue does seem to work better than the lighter blue anyone else tell the difference? ## @SV96, Seeing as the dosage is the same, there's probably something different in the list of inactive ingredients that's responsible for the noticeable change in efficacy. My understanding is that certain binders/fillers can negatively affect bioavailability by hindering the absorption of the active ingredients that they are mixed with. But in order to know for sure what's causing the differences, one would need to compare these lists of ingredients first. Are these two oxycodone pills manufactured by a different company? I just picked up my prescription from a mom n pop pharmacy. Seems like every other month they have a different manufacturer. Trust me I know - they buy the cheapest brand lot available at the time. But these new ones I just got are horrible. They're produced by Lupin Pharmaceuticals. They are blue in color and HARD as a rock!!! When I visit the website they keep comparing themselves to Mallinckrodt. I used to get Mallinckrodt before I switched to the new pharmacy and they were by far the best. Is there a list of name brands of Oxycodone 30mg that are rated by consumers from the best to worst? Meaning the meds that worked the best for most patients. ## The only name brand roxicodone has 54 199 imprinted on them and you can tell a huge difference. ## If such a list did exist, my guess is that it wouldn't be accurate enough to be useful, as we all react/respond differently to not only the active ingredient (based on tolerance, side effects, etc), but also the inactive ingredients that affect bioavailability and cause side effects as well.
