Can someone explain the abbreviation of this component and any side-effects? ## Hi twotrees, There are a couple medications that come to mind when I see the abbreviation "Doxe": [1] Doxycycline - An antibiotic, topically used to treat moderate to severe inflammatory acne, or mild inflammatory acne. [2] Doxepin - When applied topically, it can reduce itching caused by atopic dermatitis, lichen simplex chronicus, and other skin diseases. I'm personally leaning towards "Doxepin" due to how close the abbreviation is to the actual drug name and it's topical use-case. I found the second cream but the first which contains four different items is hard to track down.
