my daughter is 3 yrs old suffering with loose motion (like water) from morning 7 times given metrogyl syurp 5ml twice and Econorm twice. but, no improvement can u suggest me. ## When it involves a child like this, a doctor needs to be consulted. Diarrhea in a young child can lead very easily to dehydration, which could put their lives in danger. I can't stress it enough, when it's a real issue like this involving a young child, please seek medical attention. Do not post on a free website and wait for help. There are always those of us on here that are happy to help, if we can, but we can do nothing over the internet to help with a situation that could become life threatening. can i take during loose motion ## Metrogyl contains the active ingredient Metronidazole, which is an antibiotic used to treat infections. Therefore, it will only help if you have an actual infection and it can cause diarrhea as a side effect.
