IS THIS FOR AN EYE INFECTION ## Hello, Maria! How are you? Ampitrexyl is actually an over the counter natural product that's claimed to treat bacterial infections, but as with other supplement/herbal products, this hasn't actually been proven. If you do have an infection, it would be best to see your doctor for a proper antibiotic and not rely on this one. Infections left untreated can become systemic and life threatening. Are there any other questions? ...

Can I use it for an ear infection? ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? This is an over the counter supplement, so there is actually no proof that it will treat any infection. For your own health and safety, if you suspect that you have an ear infection, it would be best to see your doctor for an exam and to have them prescribe an appropriate antibiotic, if needed. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Las pastillas ampitrexil son para la infección o para dolor ...

Is this medication good for a situation where you might have a venereal disease (STI)? ## Hello, Cw! How are you? It depends on which STI the person is infected with, this antibiotic may not be appropriate to treat all, thus it should only used if prescribed by one's doctor. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. how long should i take ampitrex 500mg for a uti?
2 Replies RSS Share
i have a uti and have been taking 500 mgs every 6 hours. it seems to be helping alot but how long shoulfd i take it for, 5 days? ## Hi dez, Unfortunately, it's unethical for anyone but your doctor to tell you how long you're supposed to take an antibiotic that he/she prescribed you, based on the nature and severity of the infection. However, I will say that most antibiotics I've taken for bacterial infections have been prescribed for an average of 7-10 days; and I've personally never heard of anyone walking away with a 5 day prescription of antibiotics, but I'm sure there are some of those cases out there with minimal infections. Hope this helps! ## Being treated for a parasite. The pesticides we treated with resulted in bladder infections in both me & my boyfrie... ...

Can it cause a dirty drug test result? I'm in outpatient treatment. ## Ampicillin is a penicillin type antibiotic so it may result in a positive drug test for cocaine. What kind of tests are you taking? Urine? Blood? If you can, your best bet would be to show the prescription for the antibiotic so that they can factor it into your test results. ## Can ampitrex (ampicillina) 500mg show a false positive for cocaine in a urine drug test? ## Yes Evy, per what Roy said in reply # 1 ampicilina (translated to ampicillin which is a penicilin drug), it "may" result in a false positive.
