has anyone come down from suboxone slowly with no ill effect. ## yes ,i was on 115 mgs of methadone @ swithed to suboxone,it was much easier to ween down from sub than methadone,i'm on 4mgs,down from 16 mgs,it's a good treatment and you must ween down slowly,2mgs every 2 weeks,no sickness, that wasn't the case with methadone. ## Suboxone is very popular for this very reason, a slow taper makes it much easier to get off and stay off drugs. ## i am down to one suboxone a day now after being on three for about 6 months...i cannot afford it anymore so i plan to be weened on in a month or so...should i split my films in half for 2 weeks then to 1/4 ? will that help with withdrawal symptoms....i am scared of the symptons cause i work and go to school and do not want to be or feel s... ...

Okay guys, I need some feedback and fast. I am only 25 and I have severe TMJ I live in Mobile, AL and because my condition is so severe I have to go to Birmingham (5 hours away) to see a doctor that is qualified to handle it. Because of Alabama Drug laws. A doctor in a different city has to have seen you to prescribe you Narcotic pain medication. I was going to Birmingham about once every 2-3 weeks to get my prescriptions filled but that was getting costly so my doctor referred me to a Pain Management Specialist here. Without even looking at my MRIs or surgery history he put me on Suboxone, and told me it was a strong pain medication. I took it for about 3 weeks then went to see my Oral surgeon in Birm. He was furious he told me that Suboxone was for people with a dependancy problem and... ...

Has anyone on here ever taken Suboxone right after coming off of pain pills or have you been told you have to be in withdrawals for 34 hours before taking Suboxone? A friend of mine was on 18 loratab a day and went to a doctor, who put him on Suboxone and he immediately came back and took one and he did fine. Just wondering what anyone else has experienced. Thank you ## I have taken suboxone after comming off of pain pills. It is true that you need to be in withdrawal from pain pills or the suboxone will precipitate or induce withdrawal which is not therapeautic for taking the suboxone. I was on suboxone for two weeks for withdrawal of pain pills and did fine. Your friend may take a little longer due to taking 18 lortab a day. I was on 4 a day for two years. My biggest problem began whe... ...

Please tell me why I can't find a physician that provides suboxone and accepts insurance? ## Because only a limited number of doctors can prescribe Suboxone, they must take special training classes to be allowed to prescribe it. ## It depends what you mean by 'accepts insurance'. I 'accept insurance' in my practice.. I don't accept the insurance as 'total payment', though, because every insurer pays differently-- usually depending on how expensive the insurance policy is. Suboxone patients are treated exactly the same as any of the patients in my general psychiatry practice. One insurer may pay $30, and for the same service another insurer pays $150! So if my charge for the service is $155, the first patient will have to pay an additional $125, and the se... ...

I started my program today. 4mg per day is the magic number. I had to take one 2mg then wait an hour to see the Dr again. Then given another 2mg. When I left I felt like I was high. About an hour later I started to throw up. Does it help to take this with food? I know it's a side affect, does it go away? ## I am not sure how much taking it with food would help, since it is making you sick. You may want to consult with the doctor or a pharmacist before trying that. They may also have some other ideas on how to help the nausea. And yes, it will taper off as your body adjusts to the medication. You may also experience: dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Read more on Suboxone here: If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know and post back and let us know how y... ...

has anyone had good results on soboxone ## I have. I was addicted to pain meds for years stemming from a knee injury in college. When I finally told my doctor about all the extra pills I would take, i.e. buying them on the street, he advised me to try suboxone. I did, and I started at a higher dose, and it's fairly easy to taper the dose down in the beginning, just make sure you do it with your doc's help and let him/her know how you are feeling, physically. It is a little harder when you start going down from 2 mgs a day to 1, then 1/2 then a 1/4, and so forth. I've had more sucess taking half my dose in the morning and half in the evening, that could easily be psychological though. Anyhow, it is possible for this treatment to work, just don't try to wean yourself off t... ...

how long does it take to ween of suboxone been taking 8mgs for about 9 months ## Hi willy, Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, "if possible". Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In my honest opinion though, I think if you took a look at this other thread on Suboxone Abuse, and read post number 42 by James, it would be of great help: You may also want to consider posting in that thread to gain more help and support from these other users with personal experience. I hope this helps! ## Is there a way to be evaluated for Suboxone? ...

Yes I live in Ohio I am an oppiate addict who is on disability ive been through it all i want to know if Ohio Disability ssd covers anything the meds or the visits to the doctors? ## Hi Gene, Based on my research, the Social Security Administration (SSA) webpage for some reason, does not actually list any of the types of services or disability that it supposedly covers. Basic information about the program can be found in the following pdf document. But I have yet to find specific details on coverage: ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10029.pdf However, from the looks of things, it seems like your best bet at this point would be to either contact the SSA directly regarding their coverage, or to discuss any type of disability information with your doctor. Reason being is that every doctor may have diffe... ...

Otherwise, it won't work and can make u feel worse. As far as time, they usually take about 15 minutes 2 work. If the g don't work, u may need more. It all depends on how much and how long u were using. But, if you want 2 get clean, u r going 2 need more than a day or few 2 do it. U should go 2 a clinic or suboxone dr and do it properly. If u r not already doing that. Remember, the main thing is 2 b withdrawing b 4 u take the suboxone. ...

I've been on suboxone for 10 years now and my life has been so much better. It helps with withdrawals and cravings. It's up to you which route you want to take to get clean. I wish i just would of suffered throught the few days of WD from that instead of going on subs. THEY DID GIVE ME MY LIFE BACK. BUT!!!! They are very very very hard to let go of. The WD is not as intense as dope sick but it is drawn out and mostly mental. The first week is achey and pissed off. I know that because thats how far i got before then started subs again. 8mg Suboxone

I have been taking subs for about 5monthes now...had tapered down to 1mg a day and then I messed u and took 2-4 mg a day for about a week. Now I can't get anymore and I only have about 1 and a quarter of a pill left ( About 10 mg) ...am I going to be able to use this small amount to be able to taper enough to have light enough withdrawls symptoms so that I can still go to work...or am I screwed? ## IT is difficult to say, since it does contain the narcotic Buprenorphine, you may experience withdrawals, but the severity can vary from one person to another. It may best to try to plan your taper and the time you stop taking it for when you have a day or two off of work. The withdrawals can cause rebound pain, fever, chills and nausea. If your symptoms become severe, you can always go t... ...

Buy Suboxone

im am trying to get off painkillers no doctor will help i have 4 kids i need to worry about is there any place to buy suboxone leagly ## Unfortunately the only legal way to get Suboxone is through a prescription from your doctor. If you're trying to wean off I would highly recommend visiting a pain management doctor or specialist as opposed to a regular MD, since they are generally less reluctant to prescribe the types of medications. For more information on doctors in your area that are known for prescribing Suboxone and other related medications, I'd recommend checking out the the link below: buprenorphine-doctors.com/find-a-doctor.cfm I hope this helps! ## hi, i am assuming you are a woman, a mom of 4 children, looking to get off of opiates...i agree with david...i myself hav... ...

new suboxone?

I am questioning a pill. The doc said to my friend it is a new suboxone however i cannot locate it anywhere. Its is a round orange pill with an orange flavor with the imprint of a dagger on one side i think and i cant see what the other side says. it may have a coating of sorts on it. Has anyone heard of this new suboxone shape? ## normal suboxone 8mg tablet is kindof big, octogon shape with small cross shape on one side as well. It is not a "new" suboxone tablet, however. If you bring it to any pharmacist and show it, they will confirm what it is. They won't take it from you either. Hope this helped. Thanks, Grace Patient Services Manager ## the newer generic suboxone pills that are round instead of octagon and dont have the cross on it either, they are definitely suboxones... ...
