Is it possible to take Solodyn for months without any side effect and then develop C-diff.? Is Solodyn affective in one treatment for eliminating chin acne? ## No, solodyn won't work just taking it one time. It should be taken for a month or two depending on how bad your acne is ## ## my derm prescribed soldyn for the huge cystic acne i get on my chin and sometimes forhead (hairline) due to hormonal swings. My son suffered an allergic reaction to solodyn. He was prescribed for acne. He was on the medication for 1 month with no reaction. Was then put on a different antibotic for one month and then switched back to Solodyn. After three days on the Solodyn, he broke out in a rash. Large bumps most in big clusters with rash. Severe itching. ## I am on Solodyn and it is making my face very red, dry and irritated. It is also causing a rash on my neck ## I took Solodyn and broke out in a rash on my face neck and chest. I just started using Ziana for my acne- my skin looks as if it is peeling off my face, and I am still breaking out.. a lot. dont know if i should continue using........ ## Ziana is a good medication for acne because it is a combination of an antibiotic and a tretinoin which is in products like tazorac. You should only use a small amout (pea size) on the areas you are breaking out at first and only use it every other night until getting used to it. If you use to much it can cause redness and exfoliating of your skin. Topical medications may take a while to work which is why you are still breaking out.
