## I think this post was referring to the medication Pravachol, which contains the active ingredient Pravastatin and is used to help lower cholesterol. The statin medications can cause some problematic side effects in some people that may include nausea, headache and joint/muscle aches. Many times they are severe enough that someone has to discontinue taking them, so be on the lookout for such issues. Are there any other questions I can help with? She needs to report this to the pharmacy and her doctor.
2 REPLIES Filed under Flexerilhow to convert U.S. cholesterol levels to British test results ## Based on my research, In the United States, and several other parts of the world, cholesterol is measured in milligrams of cholesterol per decilitre of blood. A total cholesterol level of less than 200 is considered good. In Canada and most of Europe, cholesterol is measured in millimoles per litre of blood. A cholesterol level below 5.2 is preferred. If you need to convert a cholesterol reading from milligrams per decilitre to millimoles per litre- Simply divide your cholesterol level by 38.6598. *In regards to your title Provocal"- did you mean to say Pravachol? If so, you can learn more about this drug on the page for Pravachol Details I hope this info helps!
